Our server was Ileana was great! We live close and wanted to give this place a try and get some good Tex Mex on a Friday night... but that's not what happened. Disappointed for a couple of different reasons. - we wanted to sit outside on the patio and they sat us in a table that was filthy. Chips and rice everywhere on the ground under our feet when there were plenty of other table options near that were clean. Also major delays for getting our drinks and chip refills when it felt like we were the only people out there. - the food just sucked. It felt like everything that came to our table was cold and completely rid of seasoning. We ordered the blackened tilapia tacos and that was the best thing we had all night. The chicken enchiladas were a joke. We asked for the sour cream on the side and they decided to just bring out the chicken wrapped in the tortilla and that's it. Not really sure how they thought that would go... beans were cold and rice was meh. No cheese no vegetables nothing else. - I ordered a margarita with a double pour of tequila. Our server came back and said she was instructed by her manager that she can't do doubles and they would have to charge me for another drink and put the tequila in a shot glass instead of having the bartender mix it in. Never in my life have I had someone refuse to make a double. I was curious why this place was so dead on a Friday night but now it makes perfect sense. It's just not a good restaurant. I'm extremely disappointed with our experience at Blue Goose Cantina. From the beginning, the service was terrible. We waited 10-15 minutes just for our server to come and take our drink order. Then we ordered queso as an appetizer, but they brought no chips. We waited almost another 15 minutes just to get the chips. We were so hungry that we ended up eating the queso cold. To make things worse, the restaurant was gross and unsanitary. There was rice, beans, and chips all over the floor, and we even saw bird poop on the bench. That is absolutely unacceptable in a restaurant. Then there was an issue with our dog. The manager, Martin, told us "no dogs." We had been there before with our dog and were never told that dogs weren't allowed. If this is the policy, it should be clearly communicated to customers instead of letting them find out after arriving. We ordered the birria tacos and chicken nachos, and OMG... they were COLD and completely FLAVORLESS. The food was not worth the money at all. The salsa bowl was also dirty on the outside, like someone had scooped salsa out of it without cleaning it, and the chips were stale. We spent around $70 for this experience, and honestly, it was a complete waste of money. Between the horrible service, cold and flavorless food, stale chips, dirty dishes, and the overall cleanliness of the restaurant, I have zero reason to ever come back. Very disappointing. Can't go wrong with Texmex at Blue Goose. What they do, they do well. We ordered the steak fajita plate with shrimp. The beef was done well and the shrimps were very juicy and flavorful. Definitely meets all my expectations as far as fajitas go. The cream cheese and guacamole really go a long ways. Goose also comes with standard chips and salsa to get you started. This was a really fun Tex Mex place located in a shopping complex with plenty of parking. I came here with a large group and was seated quickly with our waitress bringing over chips and salsas and waters for the group. I really enjoyed the thin chips which had salt shaken on there. The salsa was also tasty and loved that it had some spice to make it quite enjoyable. For my main meal I went with the blue goose chicken quesadilla. The quesadilla was quite tasty and loved the amount of chicken packed into each piece. The chicken was also seasoned well and tasted pretty good. Very poorly run, unprofessional restaurant per our experience here: 1. We were not acknowledged or greeted at all when we walked in. The woman was just playing around with the ipad reservations without looking up until I was finally able to get her attention after several minutes and she seemed bothered and said just give me a few minutes. 2. Then she finally said it would be a 40 minute wait for a reservation, even though there were tons of empty tables. Then about ten minutes later we got the text that it was available, we lost it since we thought it would be 40 minutes not 10. 3. After finally getting a table, they never gave us the napkin with silverware so we had nothing to eat with. Since the waitress never came back, we had to ask someone else in the restaurant for silverware and napkin to eat our food. Went back today. Sat at the bar area again which is nice area to sit next to the windows and see outside while sitting and waiting. Walking in the host was nowhere to be seen. I stood there for about 3-4 minutes to ask about the bar seating and no one showed up, even tho several staff walked by. The fact that no one bothered to introduce themselves at the host counter led to my decision to just seat myself at the bar. Two hard tacos, chicken and beef, and the Taco Dorado (spelling?). The Taco Dorado was really good. The hard shell tacos were good, not as much flavor as the other. Charro beans are good, had some bacon chunks in it, very good. The food is good, but the personal touch with the wait staff is lacking compared to the other locations. I ordered the chicken tamales (super flavorful), El Dorado tacos (crispy and delicious), and fajitas -- which came out sizzling and were perfectly seasoned. They started us with a serving of tasty thin crisp chips and individual bowls of salsa. Hubby won't eat anything with much spicy heat and he loved the salsa. It had good flavor, but I would have preferred something with more of a kick. We ordered the guacamole appetizer and we were amazed when they brought us a heaping bowl sprinkled with cotija cheese. It was good guacamole and there was plenty of it. For entrees we ordered the lunch portions of the combo fajitas and the bacon wrapped shrimp. Fajitas were good and the beef was cooked medium. Hubby really liked it, but I found the meat to be quite bland and in need of seasoning. I am very sensitive to salt and a lot of dishes have too much salt for me. For me, these fajitas needed some salt or other seasonings to give them flavor. The bacon wrapped shrimp were delicious. Bacon on outside had a nice crisp sear and the shrimp inside was perfectly cooked. Would definitely order the shrimp again. As far as sides go, beans were bland and needed more seasoning, but the rice was very good. I usually don't eat the rice but it had good flavor and no mixed vegetables, which are a bit of a turn off for me. Definitely worth a try. I'm sure we'll be back if we are in the area. read more

The entrees are not outstanding On my last visit, I ordered a lunch chicken fajita salad. It was ok. When the bill arrived, my $11.50 salad was listed as a $13.00 steak salad with a $4 up charge for changing to chicken. So my original order of chicken fajita salad was now 17.00.
