Vegan steak and butternut squash quesadilla

The food was so good. It tasted homemade. Delicious. The staff are so nice and polite. I had plenty of options as a vegetarian. I choose to do half vegan steak and half butternut squash in a quesadilla. Amazing. I'm leaving a good review so I remember to come back.

The queso was easily 10/10, great flavor and addicting! The chimichanga was good, just a bit on the salty side, even when queso was added. Overall though, I look forward to coming back and trying more!

El Borrito Bowl with half grilled chilled and shredded pork! It's super delicious and tasteful. They also have guacamole and chips... sooooo good and I'll definitely return!!

The empanada was literally almost empty. One tiny bite of meat/cheese. Don't waste your money.

The empanadas had almost no filling or flavor. I ordered the steak bowl with refried beans and no rice. It came with black beans AND rice. My Husband's steak burrito was SOOOO greasy. Overall NO flavor, greasy and lack luster. Would be better off ordering from Tijuana Flats or some other chain.

Cute spot! Inside a gas station. However, there is room to dine in if you like. Tacos was great! Will be back!

I stopped here on a whim after seeing one of the locations on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. It was just meh, nothing special. I can usually tell by the taste of the beans or rice if I'm going to like the food. The rice was crunchy and very dry at lunch time likeundercooked, or overheated. The beans have a very heavy seasoning of cumin, lacking any texture (like pureed baby food) and they are an orange brown color. Refried beans are not normally this Orange. They reminded me of something that comes out of a can, not something homemade and fried with lard. The burrito was huge. But I had only gotten 1/4 of the way through the burrito and had to massively huge chunks of gristle that were inedible. Meat was dry too. Would I return? Nope. Gotta get the beans and rice down for me to enjoy them.

Huge Grilled chicken Chimichanga with extra cheese (inside) and switched the beans from black to refried and it was Amazing! I'm hooked!

IMPORTANT (read all) The owner of the gas store that is attached to this place does not believe and agree with the rules that we should be wearing a mask. We were eating peacefully (at a good social distance)and two men came in with no mask and no one said anything. The employees at taco bus are all wearing a mask and taking all the precautions they should but they are stuck with this gas store owner (because taco bus is part of the store) whom doesn't care if he or anyone else gets the C-Virus!! This virus is real and no joke! From word of mouth The owner of this gas store does not clean after anyone and does not use any preventative measure. Please be careful and avoid the gas store if you can! It's sad because Taco Bus food is freaking delicious and this is hurting their business! The grilled chicken chimichanga is Ahhhhmazing! (Huge) Chicken Empanada was delicious Churro was delicious, your standard kind! Elotes was delicious (warning it's spicy) but my girls loved it!

The ordering window.

Taco Bus has finally made its way to Wesley Chapel. With this location being a franchise, I had some reservations that the food quality might not be on par with some of the other locations. One bite of my tofu burrito convinced me otherwise. It was the same chewy tofu, the same spicy red sauce and the same creamy guacamole. The only thing that seemed out of place was the pink tortilla (a breast cancer awareness tortilla I'd imagine). What I love about this location, and Taco Bus in general, is the amount of vegan/vegetarian options they offer. I noticed mushrooms, vegan strip steak and butternut squash as well as the aforementioned tofu as vegetarian fillings available (there were more too, I just cant remember what they were). They also offer vegan cheese. That is something that a lot of taco joints don't touch. So what's not to like about this location? Well, Taco Bus certainly isn't cheap. The wait can be long because, as of right now, there is only one register. There are some self serve kiosks that may alleviate some of the wait when they are up and running. The restaurant is part of a gas station and that limits some of the seating and, like some of the other locations, this one botched my to go order slightly (forgot my side of guac that I had to run back in and wait in line to get). Still, despite some drawbacks, I absolutely love that I can now visit a Taco Bus that is right down the street.

John LOVES Taco Bus- they have locations in St Pete and Tampa with outdoor seating. The St Pete one is a stationary food truck- and John frequently talks about how he misses going there. When I spotted this location as we were driving by- I didn't notice it was inside a gas station. So... not classy. Not that food truck are- but idk, gas stations are less so. We had to stop for a bite on our way to a concert- and our table was divided on verdict. I ordered a tostada and it was large- 2x the size I am used to and very good. I also ordered their pineapple water- the menu board called it a customer favorite- and I loved it. Wish I could've gotten refills of that! John got the dos tacos and said it was just ok. My sister got a burrito but the rice in it was overdone- she said like it had been the last of the rice cooking since the morning- crunchy, dried out. My mom didn't like the lettuce on her salad and had the rice problem too. The standard- meh~ could've been better fits this right. Shame- I was trying to cheer up John and it just landed flat.

Good tacos at a reasonable price. Check out Taco Tuesday ($2 Tacos) where all proteins are included except Steak and Seafood options. The chips and salsa were also above average. Neat place located in a gas station (in a bus). What you'd expect from a taco joint. Nothing overwhelming, just consistent.

We had the Chicken Quesadilla, a curry vegetable empanada, the Cali ranch burger, the chocolate cake and carrot cake. We also ordered a meat patty but those were sold out so we ended up with 2 empanadas. The empanadas were good, if you like samosas you'll like these, too. Recommended to the staff that a tamarind chutney would be a great accessory. The chicken quesadilla was great, the house-made ranch dressing was better than regular ranch (I'm not a vegan so I'm qualified to speak on that ) The Cali ranch burger was also really good, be warned that the avocado is more of a guac and the burger is kind of messy to eat. They also put mayo on all three burger buns which I'm not crazy about but it worked. Carrot cake was good, chocolate cake was FIRE. I came back in to give my review to Ms. Josephine and she was kind enough to give us some of the Coconut Drop cookies to try and we also enjoyed those. Definitely would return. I've tried vegan restaurants all over the country in the last year and this one is definitely worth checking out.

I have had the privilege to order from them a few times recently. First I experienced their famous Nattiez Pattiez. These are basically like "hot pockets for adults". They are garlic butter infused dough that is stuffed with pasta, sauce, vegan cheese and lentil crumbles. These have to be shipped overnight, so I set up a delivery time instead of paying the overnight shipping cost. It was easy to arrange a time and they were delivered right on schedule by one of the owners. Taste wise.... incredible! I loved each and ever one of the ten I ate. My next order came through the mail and featured four of their cakes in a jar. I ordered a pumpkin, carrot, Oreo and Snickerdoodle. I was blown away by the carrot and pumpkin. The others were really good too but I preferred the veggie cakes. Through their website, Vegg'd Out also offers other sweets, cookies and specials based on the season. The staff, and especially our server Dani B were wonderful and very accommodating. We ordered appetizers off of the new menu to start with and a few cocktails. The pimento croquettes with bacon jam. were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. We also ordered the focaccia bread with black garlic whipped ricotta. It was a crowdpleaser for sure. Everybody loved it. Our only slight complaint/suggestion was the portion size of the pimento croquettes. We had a party of five at the table, and the appetizer was only four croquettes. Would have been nice if everybody could have one without having to split them for everybody at the table to have one. It would be nice at the time of ordering appetizers for them to let us know how many came on the plate maybe even offer a slight up charge to add a fifth one or sixth one depending on the size of the party at the table. But that was the only minor disappointment. They were still one of the best appetizers we've had in a while! Everybody decided on the burgers for their meal. A couple ordered the Boujie burger, and the others the lampshade Smashburger with bacon. Hands down one of the best burgers we've had in a while top-notch absolutely delicious. And everybody almost loved the fries just as much. They are fantastic the perfect combination. If you are in the area or looking for a absolutely delicious meal, you won't be disappointed with the living room as your choice. We will definitely be back to explore the rest of the new menu.
