If I could leave negative stars for this place, I would in a heartbeat. I ordered (to be delivered) ONE BOWL OF PHO AND ONE SPRITE. The establishment is about 10 minutes away and it was. It took AN HOUR AND A HALF for my food to get to me. When I called around 45 minutes after the order was placed ro check the progress, the guy flat out told me they take care of their in store customers first. To go orders are not even started until after all of the customers have been served. When I asked if I am not a customer, he said "well, yeah, but to go orders are not priority and we don't start them until later." Again, one basic bowl of pho. An hour and a half. Oh yeah, the can of sprite was room temp, at best and about 20 minutes after eating some of the soup, I got violent nausea. Ridiculous. No thank you. read more

For almost 7$, it would make more sense to either serve it in a smaller cup or fill it to the top. The appetizers are always the best way to start, and when the fried egg rolls came, they were as good as anything from a Thai restaurant. Presentation meets excellent taste, and the young man, Hui, who served us was attentive and efficient. Of course, the pho was great, and my partner had a stir fried noodle dish that she called "clean". The place used to be where Pho Trang was, but I'm hoping they get more traffic, because the food is that good, but it's kind of hard to find way back in the strip mall. I decided to try this place because my nail tech told me it was better than most Vietnamese owned pho places in the New Tampa area. I must say, I was quite impressed. This is my all time favorite pho spot in Tampa. Very aromatic with all the 5 spices and the oil on top is my favorite part. It's fragrant, delicious, and it keeps the bowl piping hot the entire time you eat. I came in early afternoon and was curious as I hadn't had Vietnamese food in some time. The young man provided excellent service but I attribute that to me being the only one eating at that time. I asked for and received the combination platter for $17. Save for the slightly overcooked pork I was pleasantly satisfied. The remaining food and portions met my expectations. I ordered the vegan gyoza, & vegan pho combo which came with a choice of spring roll or steamed bun. I choice the bao and it was very good! I was extremely happy with everything I ordered. My husband ordered the beef pho combo and he chose the steamed bun. My only complaint is that the waitress accidentally charged us for the combo including the drink, which was $3 extra and we didn't notice until we were already gone. Pho Tampa is a new Vietnamese eatery and not the same as Trang Viet or Trang Noodle. So tak in consideration the older reviews, etc. The waitress that seated me and helped me out was very pleasant and we talked about Vietnamese food. I went with the pho Bac. She explained how it was made and it was a very good bowl of soup, just a different way than all the other places make pho. I saw that several people I trust have reviewed it so I gave it a shot. I'm quite pleased that I did because this is some solid pho. The single serving was more than enough to feed two people. We also tried the spring rolls, which were a combination of pork and sweet potato. To be honest that combination seemed a little strange, but it actually worked. Since the new ownership, the vegan menu has basically been removed--all the special dishes that we loved are gone. :( I will never forget the delicious food they used to have, so ordering from here now just makes me sad! I literally almost shed tears lol. While they still have vegan pho and a few other things, I'm very disappointed that all my favorites have been removed. It is not easy to find good vegan Vietnamese food in Tampa Bay (other than delicious pho.) I used to happily drive 30-45 minutes to Trang Viet, or pay $20+ for delivery tip, but I can't see a reason to order from Tampa Pho when there are other restaurants closer to me with basically the same options. Thinh An Kitchen is a great spot, but they don't have anything like the ginger chicken at Trang Viet, or the delicious Northern/Southern Vietnamese stews.. This is big loss for the vegan community in Tampa. Lots of gratitude for the previous owners for serving great food for so long. We stopped by here on our road trip because we were craving pho and this place was right off the freeway. I am glad I called first because they had very low seating capacity and essentially reserved a table for me when I was about 30 minutes away. The parking lot is large, but was getting paved when we came, so we had to park a bit away and walk in. The smell from the pavement did not really affect our meal. I had the pho tai and goi cuon of course. Both were excellent, but did take awhile to come out. It seemed like there was only one person working, acting as the hostess, server, and cook. Perhaps that's why they were not seating many people, in addition to COVID. They were filling many to go and Uber Eats orders while we were there. The whole bowl has about 5 small pieces of meat. This restaurant for non-Vietnamese tongue. Horrible. The papaya salad is no way authentic to even Vietnamese nor Thai style. When I first came to Tampa a year ago, I was looking for restaurants that I would normally go to while in Georgia. I am very particular about vietnamese restaurant that I go because even though popular demand day they are all the same...they are not. I happen to be in the shopping plaza and seen this restaurant. I was like one day I'm going to sit down and try this place. So, I did...twice. From sweet gentleman server to the delicious vegan options, I was amazed of this quaint but small place. I normally eat at least 2-3 vegan meals a weak. So I heard that this place had a large selection of vegan options. Actually it has more menu pages for vegan food than it did for meat dishes. It's small place on the inside but spacious enough for a small group of 10. I had their fresh Lemonade. It was so lightly sweet and refreshing. Yes, it is fresh squeezed. The fires time I had their vegan shrimp ride noodle fish. The vegan shrimp was plump and thre sauce wasn't overpowering... thank God. That is a mistake most restaurants make when they try to compensate for seasoning for a vegan meal. But this time I tried something that I had always wanted to try...Vegan Hot Pot! This was sooooo delicious and hot. Be careful, it is really hot! The vegan chicken and beef with fresh veggies was so delicious and very tasteful. This is definitely my go-to spot no matter what part of Tampa I'm at. Be mindful this place is in a shopping plaza and there it's plenty of parking. I was so worried when Tran bought Trang's that they wouldn't make happy pancakes anymore. They do! And they are spectacular. I tried to welcome the new owner Tran to the neighborhood and he was delightful despite our language barrier. The menu is terrific with photos of everything and is very diverse. Easily half the offerings are vegan. My buddy got the chicken pho and the broth was great. Her only complaints were not enough vegetables and too many noodles.
