Dangerous Foreign Object Found in Food - Major Safety Concern The Incident: Visited on December 21, 2024. Received the wrong order initially, which should have been my first warning sign. I drove home, and the order was missing three tacos. The person at the front told me everything was in the bag. So, the manager was friendly enough to give me a complimentary tea, but when I got home, I might have needed a free tooth. When I got what was supposedly my correct order and started eating, I bit down on a hard foreign object in the food. What Happened: The object was dark, complex, and definitely did not belong in food I have clear photos and kept the object as evidence. Fortunately, I didn't bite down with full force, or I would likely have dental injuries. This could have been a choking hazard or caused broken teeth. The Bottom Line: This isn't just "bad customer service" - this is a potential health hazard. Foreign objects in food can cause broken teeth, cuts and lacerations, choking, and internal injuries. Quality control failures this serious are unacceptable. I'm sharing this review so others can make informed decisions about eating here. read more

The criteria was to be within walking distance and on the same side of the road as where I was staying. I expected a sit-down restaurant but it's an order-at-the-counter and they call out your order when it's ready. Need a number system for calling out the order. It was not busy inside and the drive through maintained a fairly steady flow of customers. Decore is nicely done. I felt compelled to share my thoughts after reading some of the reviews about Taco Casa. It seems that a few Taco Bell trolls are trying to undermine the reputation of a local treasure. In my opinion, Taco Casa stands out as the best fast food Mexican restaurant. Period. Taco Casa's bean burritos, queso, and "Sanchiladas" are among my favorites. They cook their refried beans from scratch daily and use real ground beef, along with ingredients like Velveeta and Rotel. If you're someone who prefers canned or pre-packaged nacho cheese and meat, then maybe Taco Bell is the right choice for you. You won't find that at Taco Casa. While it may not be authentic Mexican cuisine, Taco Casa is a great fast food restaurant with a well established reputation they have earned as a local favorite through the years! read more

I'm not quite sure why the approval rating is so high at this place. Taco Casa is a place where they take the cheapest ingredients that are still legal, use the cheapest cookware, and serve it on the cheapest plate/tray available. For some people, that's ok. To me, I was handed a bowl of fat - no thanks. The saving grace - the price point. This place is DIRT cheap. You can feed a 10 person family for about $15. The worst part - The cashier (who was also cooking food) had a runny nose and kept sniffling. That is absolutely disgusting. The manager should have sent that kid home, it was obvious he wasn't 100%. My recommendation? Give yourself a little respect, and walk 300 feet to the taco bell down the street. At least the refills are free there. I don't see why this place is receiving marks. The guy on drive thru was very TUDE and impatient even after I told him I had never been here and needed to ask question. The food was very salty and I would not eat most of it. I will never spend my money there again and will tell others about my experience. Do you miss Old El Paso kit nights in the 80s? Maybe they're still in your life, I don't know, but I've been exposed to a lot of taco choices over the years and the countertop Tex-Mex wasn't on my radar anymore. But I couldn't resist this place and got a big old bag of tacos, bean burritos, and queso. Super delicious, greasy, trip down memory lane. Also? Well...I wanted mexican food....oh boy....well, at least the place was clean. We got old style Fiesta salad. Supposed to have beef and beans, cheese, etc. The girls kids tacos had more "meat" than the salad. I couldn't identify what part of the "cow" it came from.....maybe ground lips or anus, it might have had a tablespoon on it. I counted 12 beans and the cheese was straight up cheap shredded like you get at a large box type place. You get that, right? Served on a Styrofoam plate with a spork type thing. I mean I understand all the coof stuff, but I didn't expect that. All in all, I guess it'll make a turd. Left and went to the grocery store next door for chicken strips, as we were still so hungry. The employees are terrible...they will box the food and throw it in the bag sideways so when you open it all of the toppings are on the side...rude...they act as if you're an inconvenience...giving 2 stars because at least the tacos are good...typical Vicksburg standard of service. read more

Love me some Taco Casa everytime I fly home and pass through Vicksburg.

I've had a love affair with Taco Casa since I was a kid. Now that I live in a different part of the country, I still crave it every so often. There's just no comparison for drive through pseudo-Mexican anywhere else. My go to order is the combination burrito (beef and bean) and the chili con queso with a sweet tea. Sometimes I'll substitute in a taco burger (minus the lettuce, please) and I've never walked away disappointed. The service is almost always friendly-ish(for fast food, especially) and quick. It's a must stop when I come through town. read more

Taco Casa will always be my favorite place! There's something special about this one in Vicksburg...something that will make us drive out of our way to come here. This is the worst dining experience I've ever had in Vicksburg. My food was not heated through and missing ingredients. Upon biting into my enchilada and realizing this, I took it to the counter to have it replaced.
