We gave this place a shot with pork nachos in mind. It is located in the Promenade shopping center in Palm Beach Gardens. Parking was easy as it is a shopping center. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by a welcoming person named Alissa. She asked if we have ever been there before and we said no. She told us about the specials for the day and seemed very knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant was pretty roomy and not busy at the time and appeared pretty clean (didn't use the restrooms). There is a small bar. We ordered the pork nachos and they were delicious. My wife got churros with caramel dip as dessert and said they were delicious. Alissa gave me a soda to go and always checked on us to see if we needed anything. The only takeaway I would say here was we got jalapeños & salsa on the side and it was a small portion (see pics) and they wanted to charge extra for another small serving of salsa. Pretty good tacos. They add a fusion style to the conventional flavors. So far, the steak and the mushroom with black beans are my 2 favorites. They have a pork with pineapple and Thai sauce, which is pretty interesting. I'm eager to try the few others on the menu. The service is very good and the wait staff is extremely helpful. Came to taco drive on a Friday evening and every table was filled. The tables are high tops but they do have high top high chairs for the littles. They have a large selection of craft beer ( no liquor ) Our waitress came right over and was very helpful and seemed happy to be there she was attentive to our order and got everything correct. Always willing to try a new place that features Mexican cuisine, and I wasn't disappointed. Started with a dip trio (guacamole, salsa, and queso). All three were tasty, but I especially liked the flavor of the queso. Incidentally, you can order this mild, medium, or hot; I went with mild...this time. Then I had a chicken taco that was very yummy, and very loaded - good thing I only ordered one. Let's start by saying, it's a nice pleasant restaurant. The food was at best mediocre edible. Our group goes out to lunch every week. And we like to try new places. This time, we decided to try Taco Dive. We were four for lunch. The menu is limited and a little confusing. You can either have a flour tortilla taco or a rice bowl for an extra charge. All is a la carte. Chips and salsa and sauces are extra. We each ordered a different dish. I ordered the chicken Drunken burrito wet aka, "the soaker" you pay extra for the cheese and a little salsa. The burrito was small. Loaded with tater tots and some shredded chicken. There was no tomato as stated on the menu. I thought the taters were a side. But no, it was inside the burrito. All you taste was taters and salt. If you are a salt lover, this is the place for you. My friends, ordered a chicken rice bowl, steak bowl and a steak taco salad bowl. According to them it was salty and tasteless. The service was adequate. We tried Taco Dive in PBG and it was a failed. For one burrito and water, my bill was $20 with tip and tax.
