They have the best quesadillas I have ever had in my life due to the fact that it is not your typical gringo quesadilla on a crappy flower tortilla loaded with cheese and barely anything else. These have grilled vegetables such as onions green and red peppers with just the right amount of cheese and the perfect amount of beef, lengua or chicken, which are my favorite in order. Wait time 15+ mins for this? What is this? This is not how you make a pupusa. They claimed this is mixed? More like spilled. They spilled a little cheese and a few crumbs of meat on top of minimum amount of bean filling. I know this isn't salva but I expected at least something that resembles a pupusa man especially when I'm told the dish includes ingredients that are obviously skimped out on and that's a great overstatement. I I could've made this at home in the amount of time I waited with twice the quantity and quality of filling, the point of take-out is to take out the cooking for me. Overall a 2/10, edible but not at all the dish that was described. Maybe because I am white and blonde they didn't do my order justice. The truck is located in the parking lot of a car mechanic on the corner of 40 and Broadway. The food at this unassuming truck is quick, cheap and filling. I tried the lengua and the chorizo tacos, both of which were pretty good but a bit on the salty side for my tastes. The crumbled cheese is a welcome addition, however not something I am used to from the Mexican trucks? I am guessing this is a Guatemalan thing? I may be spoiled from frequent visits to Mexico but I found the tongue to be lacking its usualy succulent flavors and the chorizo to be a bit too "charred". I ordered two tacos ($2 each) and a quesadilla ($6) and was charged $14.00 It was probably just oversight, but when I asked for sour cream and guacamole, they said I didn't order the quesadilla that came with sour cream and guac.. which was $10. Came here twice already with my classmates and I have to say that this taco truck is AMAZING. I got the alpastor tacos and the barbacoa tacos which were $2.00 and $2.25 each. The meet was perfectly marinated and so juicy. The tortilla is springy and fluffy when you bite into it and perfectly warmed up. Honestly, definitely recommend checking this place out.
