The old adage: "Forgive and Forget!" It may not change the past but it gives the future a chance! How can you hold a grudge against a truck that cranks out food this good? So if you read my original review, you could probably tell I was pretty steamed after visiting their scheduled locations 3 times in a row and leaving empty handed. I decided to look up their schedule last week and found that they'd be near where I would be and did a drive by. Sure enough, I spotted them, and the game was on! I got the Chicken Loaded Quesadilla, Island Style. It was outstanding. Loads of fresh, quality cheese with a generous portion of well seasoned chicken along with hints of mango and cilantro. Bravo! I also tried the Key-lime, chocolate dipped Macaroons (2 o's) and I thought they were great. Good pinch of coarse salt to heighten the chocolate intensity. Very glad I gave them another chance. I've been a couple times more and it looks like they got the schedule thing figured out!

I ended up getting the burrito here with steak. Steak was cooked perfectly. It wasn't well done or over cooked which I love! Burrito was huge!! I also got a side of siracha with it and it complimented well with the burrito! I can't wait to try other stuff!

I'm not what you would call a "Taco Eater". Give me a Dorito Locos Taco from Taco Bell and i'm happy and when I visit a sit down restaurant, the last thing i'm thinking is "Tacos!" when I see it on the menu. And the one time I gave it a try with fish tacos, I just didn't "get it". But today, I forgot about a work meeting during my typical late lunch hour & I was starving & a coworker mentioned they were getting tacos when I remembered Taco Green-Go is in the area today! So I hurried over right before they closed. I was happy to see that the menu was easy to follow and there was a nice variety of options. The only thing that shocked me was the price. $8 for two tacos? There had better be a lot of meat on these things!! I ordered the Chicken Island and the Carne Asada Mexican. Why 2 orders? Because I couldn't make up my mind so I decided I would eat one of each now and have dinner. Kind of silly after complaining about the price right? Just love me! Anyway, hands down the Chicken Island Taco was my favorite! Never would I ever typically order a dish of any kind that included fruit. Especially Mango, just because in my mind I hated Mango. I also have a thing against fruit & nuts in my food... that thing is it's just weird. Picky & sheltered I know, but i'm clearly working on it! Since i'm the type of person who gets stuck on a menu item I like, It's pretty much Island style on anything else I get from this truck from now on. The tacos were indeed filled with plenty of Chicken/Steak and ALL of the toppings worked together perfectly. I was definitely on full blown itis status(Refer to urban dictionary) the rest of the afternoon. Now though i'm not swooning over the Mexican style tacos, it wasn't bad at all. The steak was seasoned so well & was very tender. The Mexican style just didn't excite my palate as much as the Island Style did. But I think i'll give the steak another try... with the Island style of course!

Pretty good taco truck. I felt like it was a bit expensive, not sure if I want to pay $9 for two small tacos but the ingredients were nice and fresh. I had a steak bulgogi taco (I like the Korean influence.) And the Chicken Mole was delicious. I also tried the chicken quesadilla and it was pretty solid too. Not bad food when having a beer outside NODA brewing.

    Veggie Incred-A-Bowl Island Style!

Taco Green-Go is my go to on FTF. The vegetarian dishes- specifically the vegetable Incred-a-bowl, Island style is to die for! Seriously, mango salsa...coconut jasmine rice...pineapple guava aioli!! Need I say more?! My only wish is for a separated vegetable medley. While the truck staff is super accommodating to custom orders, they could not guarantee there wouldn't be mushrooms in the vegetable medley. Luckily I do t have an allergy to mushrooms; only a strong dislike for their texture. Next time you're attending FTF, be sure to stop in st Taco Green-Go. You will not be disappointed.

Carnitas bowl island style. Very good.

Excellent food and you have various mixups for the tacos, burritos, or quesadillas. They also serve drinks and the workers are very nice

The staff member working there was so helpful in explaining the dishes and even gave us samples to try two of the protein options to help us choose. We ended up going with the lamb bites in the Swahili bowl, along with an order of beef samosas with tamarind sauce. The coconut rice in the Swahili bowl is ohemgee good! The collards, beans, and plantains really round it out, and the lamb was flavorful and tender. The beef samosas were a treat with savory filling and flaky pastry. This order was plenty of food for the 2 of us, and we actually took home leftovers. After you order, make sure to get your parking deck ticket validated for 2 hours of free parking. I love that the market acts as an incubator--there's always something fresh and exciting to discover. This time, we stumbled upon this East African gem, and I'm so glad we did. I ordered the Swahili Plate and it was fantastic--perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice that keeps things interesting without being "offensive". The beans and rice were easily my favorite part; you really can't beat a good bean! The hubby grabbed a wrap - the Grilled Chicken Chapati Wrap and was a big fan of his too. If you're looking for authentic Tanzanian flavors and a welcoming atmosphere, definitely give them a try before your next Uptown adventure. Until next time 7th Street Market. LIL Tip too - if you want a nice to pair with your food the gent that owns the Wine store will do just that - tell him what you ordered and he'll make an excellent suggestion.
