They boast themselves as being a "Floribbean" street-food food truck and offer four food options: tacos, quesadillas, bowls, and burritos. You choose your protein: carne asada, pork, chicken, fajita veggies, and your style: Mexican, Island, or Southern. Island-style: mango salsa, pepper jack, cilantro, pineapple guava aioli. Mexican style: salsa verde, chili lime slaw, queso fresco, cilantro, and Mexican crema Southern: guava BBQ sauce, chili lime slaw, cheddar, and chipotle ranch As mentioned above, I'm a fan of their island-style. Emily was sunny and bright with a warm smile and the gentleman doing the cooking (Sorry I did not get your name) was very busy when he came to our business park off Albemarle Road and I hope they return. For the smells coming from this food truck, I was sorely disappointed in what I took home. The "incredi" bowl was just okay. I get that COVID messed a lot of things up, but I feel like for a limited menu, these flavors missed the mark. For $20, I got mostly rice, with a little veggies and even less pastor. I ordered it Cali style upon recommendation but I don't think there was anything there to add flavor. A small corner of cotija and pickled onions that came sadly at the very end. I chose pastor for my meat because the flavors of pastor are what make it so delicious. This pastor had none to speak of....no pineapple either. I added the mango salsa (very cumin-heavy) and the hot sauce they gave me and it was still just okay. The chips and queso were good but the chips were stale. Sorry guys. Maybe next time I'll try the Carolina style for more flavor???? read more

The old adage: "Forgive and Forget!" It may not change the past but it gives the future a chance! How can you hold a grudge against a truck that cranks out food this good? So if you read my original review, you could probably tell I was pretty steamed after visiting their scheduled locations 3 times in a row and leaving empty handed. I decided to look up their schedule last week and found that they'd be near where I would be and did a drive by. Sure enough, I spotted them, and the game was on! I got the Chicken Loaded Quesadilla, Island Style. It was outstanding. Loads of fresh, quality cheese with a generous portion of well seasoned chicken along with hints of mango and cilantro. Bravo! I also tried the Key-lime, chocolate dipped Macaroons (2 o's) and I thought they were great. Good pinch of coarse salt to heighten the chocolate intensity. Very glad I gave them another chance. On a recent visit to Resident Culture, Taco Green-Go was outside, so yes, had to give it a try. They have a unique menu, allowing you to create you own meal, tacos, burrito, quesadilla or rice bowls. I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla, Mexican Style. It was really good, but there was very little chicken which was the disappointing factor. I felt like I got a Cheese Quesadilla. So, I recommend amping up on the protein. Others ordered the rice bowl and loved it and another mentioned that the steak burrito was really good. The food didn't take too long and the owners were definitely on point and friendly with everyone. I definitely look forward to trying them again, especially to try some of the other options they have. read more

Booked this food truck for lunch service for our staff of approximately 100 people. Was notified by email one hour before the start of lunch that the food truck had broken down the night before and would not be able to come. I am an understanding person and realize things happen which are out of our control, however if I had been notified last night I could have informed our staff to bring their lunch. Unfortunately, I had seen similar Yelp reviews about this business cancelling last minute but chose to give them the benefit of the doubt. Lesson learned. read more

YALL. Do not walk past this truck if you see it. Taco Green-Go brought Lil Taco up to Salisbury for a corporate event and did NOT disappoint. The nachos, the tacos, there was nothing but delicious food served all day and everyone raved about it all (made it very difficult to decide what to order!!)! AND the team was super friendly, positive, and upbeat. The only reason I gave one star was because I had to in order to post a review!! We had booked and paid for what was supposed to be an awesome taco bar on May 5th for our rehearsal dinner. I received a phone call at 10am that same day informing me that they had to cancel due to being under staffed. Our Rehearsal was at 6:00pm! I am just in shock that this was even an issue that occurred. I've worked as a catering manager and this would never be an option. You make it work, even if you pull homeless people off the street to cook the food. Or the OWNER should have slaved all day and made it happen! Yes, Cancel a Rehearsal Dinner! Give me a Dorito Locos Taco from Taco Bell and i'm happy and when I visit a sit down restaurant, the last thing i'm thinking is "Tacos!" when I see it on the menu. And the one time I gave it a try with fish tacos, I just didn't "get it". But today, I forgot about a work meeting during my typical late lunch hour & I was starving & a coworker mentioned they were getting tacos when I remembered Taco Green-Go is in the area today! So I hurried over right before they closed. I was happy to see that the menu was easy to follow and there was a nice variety of options. The only thing that shocked me was the price. $8 for two tacos? There had better be a lot of meat on these things!! I ordered the Chicken Island and the Carne Asada Mexican. Why 2 orders? Because I couldn't make up my mind so I decided I would eat one of each now and have dinner. Kind of silly after complaining about the price right? Just love me! Anyway, hands down the Chicken Island Taco was my favorite! Never would I ever typically order a dish of any kind that included fruit. Especially Mango, just because in my mind I hated Mango. I also have a thing against fruit & nuts in my food... that thing is it's just weird. Picky & sheltered I know, but i'm clearly working on it! Since i'm the type of person who gets stuck on a menu item I like, It's pretty much Island style on anything else I get from this truck from now on. The tacos were indeed filled with plenty of Chicken/Steak and ALL of the toppings worked together perfectly. Pretty good taco truck. I felt like it was a bit expensive, not sure if I want to pay $9 for two small tacos but the ingredients were nice and fresh. I had a steak bulgogi taco (I like the Korean influence.) And the Chicken Mole was delicious. I also tried the chicken quesadilla and it was pretty solid too. Taco Green-Go is my go to on FTF. The vegetarian dishes- specifically the vegetable Incred-a-bowl, Island style is to die for! Seriously, mango salsa...coconut jasmine rice...pineapple guava aioli!! Need I say more?! My only wish is for a separated vegetable medley. While the truck staff is super accommodating to custom orders, they could not guarantee there wouldn't be mushrooms in the vegetable medley. I ordered my absolute favorite Mexican dish, tacos al pastor. It was a nice variation on the dish. Too many bells and whistles for my taste, but very passable. We are huge taco fans, Taco Green-Go is one of if not the best food truck we e tried in the Charlotte area. The chicken taco and chicken quesadilla are packed with a huge portion of chicken as well as your choice of "styles". You have a choice between three different "styles" which are Mexican, island or southern. I have only tried island style bc why change a good thing?!!? They offer beef, pork, chicken and veggie selections as well as a daily special. The portion size is certainly worth the price you pay. We finally gave their dessert a try and OMG!!!!! It is a key lime macaroon dipped in dark chocolate with a dash of sea salt on top. One must live a little so go for it and give them a try, you won't be disappointed!! That said I'm not a fan of coconut except I'm a huge fan of these macaroons. read more

Hands down the best "gourmet" tacos I have had in Charlotte. To clarify, these are a twist on traditional Mexican street tacos (2 corn tortillas, meat, cilantro, onion, lime). These tacos have the 2 tortillas and meat, but then employ unique, and flavorful filler, including cole slaws, fruity salsas, flavored cremas, barbecue sauce, etc. The combinations are wonderful; give it a shot, you won't regret it. read more

Taco Green-Go was at the Rural Hill food truck rally tonight and I tried it. I wasn't sure if they were out of food or what because there were x's on top of all the dishes with shells. Turned out, their propane tank went out and someone was on the way with some more. I ended up getting the bowl with chicken, island style. It was delicious! It doesn't look like much but once you fluff everything out it it plenty. Would have liked a little more chicken though for $8.50. The green sauce is great; it's spicy but adding a little really enhances the flavor. Would definitely try again! read more

I am fairly new to the area, moved in in November. I recently planned a 30th birthday celebration for my daughter. All she wanted was a taco truck for her birthday! After weeks of searching we finally found one that was available. We booked him and continued our planning. The day of the party just 3 hours before he was supposed to arrive he calls to tell me that the suspension on his truck broke. Disappointed but not upset i told him i am sorry about the truck. I know it is his livelihood. He offers me a taco bar in place. Ok so now i need to add a table to my last minute to do list. As I spoke to Mike I realize that something isnt right. He offers me 2 proteins for the Taco Bar (but we would have had a full menu with a truck), he now wants to charge me $100 per hour to have one person serve(caterers dont charge that much), vegetables for our Vegan guests are now an extra fee. When I question as to why all the extra fees and if he can waive the server fee, his response was "i am already discounting you the delivery charge, and not charging you for the veggies." My confusion is this would have all have been a part of the truck service! Food would have been delivered, in the truck, someone would have served the food, in the truck, veggies would have been included with the full menu, in the truck! After asking about all this he says that "Unfortunately at this point I don't feel I have the ability to make you happy. I'm going to have to respectfully withdraw my offer. I have refunded your food truck deposit. I apologize for the inconvenience. ". In tears because now my guests will be there in 2 hours we start to scramble. Thank God for Firebirds!!!!
