Simple tacos average at best, at over $2.00 a taco there are way better choices for that price.

I give five stars to every Taco in except the one on South 48th! I grew up on Taco in I lived one block away from this store on South 48th they're consistency has hit the floor I now travel to any other store other than the one on South 48th I don't know if they have a different owner it's not part of the franchise but they do not make any of their food the way any of the other stores do! If you have the hots for spicy Mexican food, you've got to stop in to Taco Inn. You won't be disappointed with their wide variety of entrees. I will say if you dine in, the seating is not conducive to be comfy or relaxed. The booths are bright orange and the seats are a hard plastic. For me, to enjoy a great meal then the ambiance and seating will help seal the deal. If you don't fuss about your seating but want tasty Mexican food you have come to the right place. This time I was in the mood for a taco salad in the bowl which eating the bowl is half of the fun. The salad is layered with smoldering meat, diced onions, crispy shredded lettuce throughout the salad sprinkled with gigantic amounts of shredded sharp cheddar cheese and topped with fresh crisp cool tomatoes. They provide a mild, medium, and hot taco sauce packet. I hate the packets because they are hard to open with your fingers and using my teeth as a pair of dull scissors is a bit frustrating. I ordered a Diet Coke but they serve Pepsi products. Bummer. It still went down cool and smooth with the right amount of ice. I did not have any dessert. To be honest, when I eat Mexican, sweets are not a treat! The prices were not too steep. The servings were ample. I thought I got my money's worth. The service was ok. I have to say nobody stood out as a star server. I am a regular because the food melted in my mouth with a dash of crunchy. I will be back when I get the urge for super delicious Mexican food! I love Taco Inn! It's a local classic for basic Mexican food. It's been around a long time and you can always find something fresh and healthy on their menu. Great prices for the food you get. My favorites are bean burritos, mild or spicy, with extra sauce, deluxe nachos, and the deluxe burritos! They have great enchiladas too. read more

I visit Lincoln frequently for work and this place was in walking distance from my hotel so I decided to try it. Not knowing what it is I almost expected a full service restaurant. Nope it's fast casual but that's fine. The food takes me back to fiestada day in high school. I'm sure it's not authentic Mexican, but damn it's good. I love salsa and they have a salsa bar with a few different types to try. Each is delicious. Great cheap food I love this place. read more

Far from authentic Mexican food, but comes pretty close. Being Mexican I found the cream cheese enchilada very awkward, after trying it I confirmed my suspicions. It's awkward. The sauces used are not authentic but it was still do-able. I probably won't come back but it was ok. You have to give them props for their model and effort. read more

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, this is definitely not your place. However, if you are looking for excellent fast-food Mexican, this is the best! The chicken melt burrito is excellent, as is everything else on the menu. You can watch them put your food together in front of you, so you know it's all fresh and made to order. This particular location is fun because it has an awesome Coke machine that allows you to put together all sorts of drink combinations. That's honestly the main reason that my friends and I visit this location instead of the 48th street one. For fast, fresh and delicious Mexican food, this is your place! read more

A local Lincoln fast-food Mexican place, but of no comparison whatsoever to Amigo's, which is disgusting. It's set up a little like a Taco Bell, where you can get a number of small items separately or a larger meal like a platter. This place's nachos will spoil you for other nachos! I would say they are the best Mexican nachos I have ever had. I'm also a fan of the cheesy burrito and the taco sauce. I would go out of the way to try the nachos at one of their several Lincoln locations if you are in town. read more

Good place. Went in for Taco Salad Thursday. Was very fresh and filling. My wife said she grew up going to this place a good amount. I thought it was pretty neat how they write down the orders. They had their system in place. Next time I would like to try their burritos and other tacos. read more

Taco Inn is a great place to get some really delicious mexican food. It's a good thing their food is so good, because the employees, at least the drive thru employees, sound like they'd rather be anywhere but at work. I don't expect them to chat with me, but they are almost rude. I would say it could just be a bad day but it happens every time I'm there. Weirdly, the N 56th and S 70th location both have this problem, but the S 48th location didn't when I went there. The food is still worth it though. read more

Great chicken enchiladas!! Everything is always made right except through drive through the rude females always mess up the orders or short you on items like chips which is stupid to complain about but i should get what i paid for. Seems like customer service isn't a strong point at either locations and can say many do complain about this .and i will not return to dine im pretty sure i can learn to make my own cream cheese and chicken enchiladas. read more

this is a fast food place that is will give you a delicious meal for your buck. taco inn has the best tortilla shells of any place I know. You get free chips and salsa if you eat-in after 5pm. Taco inn doesn't try to rip you off...everything is affordable and it tastes good! I moved out of town 3 years ago but every time I go back to Lincoln to visit relatives Taco inn is the first place I'll eat! read more
