I don't think I've ever had a bad fish taco in my life until this place. Soggy mess of degrading tortilla that is not only impossible to pick up and burns your finger as you attempt to do so... buried in a pile of shredded cucumber... you get more cucumber then taco... and for everything being so wet and saucy some how the fish still ends up dry and flavorless.. hope you like cucumber because it's the only thing you'll be able to taste. Pork taco was mediocre at best.. also dry and a bit tough. Again what the hell is with the slop pile of cucumber... I love tacos and Mexican food more then anyone., and I truly did try to eat these but in the end had to feed it to the dog. What a waste of money. read more

March 27th - 6:00p.m Driving down Cook st after a busy day and contemplating what to eat for dinner. Do I put something together at home or do I stop and grab something easy and already prepared? Common question I find myself asking as of late. I notice the Burger Crush food truck looming ahead through the passenger side of the windshield. I start thinking to myself "nah not a burger, I ate one yesterday." As sudden as the thought of a burger is leaving my mind, a new one enters. TACO JUSTICE! And look at that. Parking available right on the street. Alright then. I bring up the familiar website from the warm comfort of my small pickup truck. Brutus burrito - Mmmmm. Yes please. Paid and tipped. Super convenient. Nice. I notice one person waiting for an order. OK cool, this probably won't take too long. I'll sit in my truck for 10 minutes and then go wait by the food truck. Door dasher comes up to the food truck, announces their presence and is promptly dismissed and pointed in a direction away from the service window "your name will be called when your order is ready!" Note to self - ok wow that seemed slightly uncomfortable, they must be super busy. I don't think I will announce myself, I will just let them call my name. Slightly unsure, but curious looking fellow approaches food truck. "Hello sir! Are you picking up!?" Snaps a clearly irritated staff person. "No no, I would like to order." replys the man. "What kind of tacos do you have?" "OK sir, look now because all of our menu items are written down here for you!" They point at the menu with an ever so slight shake of the head. Accompanied by a penetrating glare from a different staff person. 25 minutes pass since I've pulled over and I've now been standing by the food truck for at least 10 minutes. I start to question my decision of stopping here. A few more moments pass until I approach the window to inquire about my beef burrito, half expecting to be rudely dismissed and told to wait for my name to be called. "Hello, I made an online order for Lennon." I say. Without a word, staff person reaches over to what appears to be some far away corner to retrieve my now lukewarm and soggy burrito. I think to my self great, how long has that been there? So I ask. "Ohhh I don't know! Probably 10 minutes"? They respond. Since standing in the cold and bearing witness to such blatant disrespect to customers I have since become slightly irritated. I ask "why wasn't my name called?" to which they answer "that is not our system here, you have to come and say you are here and then I will call your name! I can't keep track and looking out for people with all these door dash people and everything else going on!" I reply "ok but isn't it kind of easy though to just call my name?" "No this isn't how we do it here!" Fed up, I just ask them to hand me my burrito so I can leave. They do. Before turning and walking even one step away, I hear three subsequent bursts of laughter erupt from amongst the food truck. I turn back around towards them, slightly stunned but also not surprised of this behaviour given my previous observations. I ask "why are you all laughing at me as I walk away?" To this I am not answered. I ask again, and tell them it's incredibly disrespectful and rude. Staff member in the middle responds "I'm at work dude!" Like this is normal work behavior for them. By this point I am pretty furious and deciding not to make more of a scene, I turn and walk away again. The same sarcastic and condescending burst of laughter from inside the food truck meets my ears as soon as my back is turned. Not even 3 feet away from the vehicle. I turn around again and shrug my shoulders in a questioning manner before continuing on to my vehicle. Hurt. Belittled. And greatly disappointed. Hands down, some of the best tacos I've ever had! We got the Brutus and Mr. Fuji's Intercontinental Chicken and the flavours of these 2 tacos were incredible and for the price, you get amazing quality food. When we opened our box, we were so surprised how stuffed these tacos were. They definitely do not skimp on the filling here and I really appreciated the chips on the bottom not only to prevent the bottom of the tacos from getting soggy, but to also eat the remaining filling that will inevitably fall out. This has officially become one of our must-have/go-to places whenever we visit Victoria now! read more

Taco Justice is life. I have to give Taco Justice a resounding 5/5 starts because its so f&*king amazing. Every time I come into Victoria I have to stop here or else I will die. If I don't get a taste of those delicious burritos then I know that my vacation was a failure. They rotate the types every few days. My favourite that I've tried so far are The Brutus, The Harlem Hangover!, and The Frisky Brisky. They have creamy sauces, yummy toppings (like cucumber), and serve them really hot and fresh. It's by far the best food truck in town. :) The burrito sizes are huge! But I will still eat them all in one sitting. I have to limit myself to one per trip (although this time I went twice). This taco truck also comes to Shambhala so it has a special place in my heart in that regard. Nice to see some good local BC food trucks there. read more

Great tacos, decent value! A great place to stop for a quick tasty lunch. The Brutus is my favourite, followed closely by the belly to belly. The rotating flavours are also almost always amazing. Have never had anything bad here, just things I like more than others! The meat is super tasty and perfectly seasoned especially. They are very accommodating about dietary issues as well. The only reason I give his place four stars is because the service has gone really downhill recently. I order semi frequently and lately they've been screwing up my order a lot--using the dairy sauce when I asked for no dairy, mixing up the meats between two different tacos. Could be easily rectified by taking a bit more care with prep. read more

Saw it parked off Cook St and decided to give it a go and was glad I did. I had the two taco combo and the pork belly taco and the tuna taco and they were both delicious. Loaded with veggies and meat. Definitely worth hitting up, it be awesome if there were some table near by to eat at. These tacos are so big you need both hands. read more

You can never go wrong when it comes to Justice. $6.50/loaded taco, the Green Bastard being the staple for myself and the Nacho Libre are always a great accompaniment. Great food that's well priced and always a great experience. They do have limited hours/days and are often at festivals in/out of town. The tacos were pretty good. Very expensive at 15$ per. However they are large. Be nice if they had a smaller version at a smaller price. I suppose two people could share one. Came here on a rainy Saturday evening for dinner. They have a small selection of very creative tacos/burritos, available in either form. All us of us went for the Polish Hammer: smoked pork hock, fried potatoes (waffle fries), deep fried pickles, apple chutney, slaw, and Dijon sauce. After walking the 15 minutes home the tacos were still warm. Served on a flour tortilla with a couple corn chips on the bottom to keep the tortilla from getting soggy. The smoked pork hock was delicious, slightly smokey, incredibly tender and flavorful with not a lot of fat or undesirable pieces. The potatoes added a nice starchy touch and the apple chutney was very subtly spiced mildly tart/sweet apples. They were soft and a nice surprise. The deep fried pickles were amazing, panko crusted spear pieces lending the perfect acidic crunch. The slaw was slightly creamy and sweet all topped with a mild Dijon creamy sauce. Overall the taco was very delicious, a great balance of smokey, sweet, acidic, crunchy....I will definitely be back to try more!!!! read more

$11 Tacos....I thought that the $8 on the other side were expensive. I have to admit that these are well spiced and marinated tacos but still a highway robbery. Portions are small and doesn't fill you. People here were nice, however, for something that is somewhat cheap to make it was a little on the pricey side. read more

Ate here at Rifflandia recently. I don't know what they did to their nacho libre but it's now $20 for a tiny portion with almost no meat and zero cheese. There were about five waffle fries in the entire thing. It's overloaded with mayo and other cheap ingredients like lettuce and tomato. I had the same thing last year and it was amazing, but they have now apparently doubled the price, cut the portion size in half, and greatly increased the ratio of cheaper ingredients. read more
