So some Folks say that this place has some good authentic Mexican food or so, so I went there while in Rochester; first of all the it's more like a food stand or trailer park in I think a bakery parking lot. I like the location, nice and tidy with plenty of parking and they had some tables with chairs and umbrellas. I appreciate that. The Guys were nice and customer service was nothing to Complain about. Just order your food and you wait. I order some asada tacos, puffy tacos with Al pastor, elotes in a cup, and a taco bowl. Carne asada tacos: Little bit salty, dry and not Much flavor Puffy tacos w/ pastor: puffy shell was nicely fried with the toppings but the pastor meat was little salty and not Much flavor of Al pastor taste. It's was okay little hit More flavor then the asada Taco bowl: had Al pastor with it, the same Salty taste and not Much flavor like the puffy tacos, overall disappointing in that it was not in a bowl of sort but plop in a styrofoam to go box. Makes the food s pile of mush so suggestion to get plastic bows so it'll be fitting for a taco bowl even if it's to go. Best overall: the elotes- had good flavor , Taste the mayo and other spices on it. Overall- does not Taste authentic at all: if you look at their menu you can tell it's catering to a wider audience of Americans. So not authentic but could be just more flavorful....

This is a food truck located off the highway. We yelped it because we were craving Mexican food since we are from California. It's reviewed as 5 star and I can vouch that yes it is! When their food is better than mine (and I cook a lot) then that says something. I had the chicken flautas. It came in 4 flautas topped with cilantro, lettuce, sour cream and beats. I didn't want the pickled onion. The green salsa was also bomba. I was surprised to find very good Mexican food in Minnesota! We also had the elite in a bowl, oh my gosh so delicious. My daughter had the shrimp tacos which she ate so fast. The tacos come in 3. So as I head to the airport In Minneapolis I'm so glad I made this stop! Para Los cocineros; la comida es muy rico, buenísimo! Muchas gracias!

Chorizo/potato tacos plus a yummy sauce! I'm sure there is some fun name but I was too caught up enjoying the taste :)

Taco lab is a good option especially if your looking for something walking distance from the Fairfield Inn & Suites on 17th. Side note: If that's your story, take the sidewalk. My mom and I decided to get creative only to retreat because we probably couldn't jump the creek. We ordered "The Bait" (fish tacos) and a chorizo/potato taco special. The chorizo special was excellent!! I have had better fish tacos but it's not the coast and I'm partial to corn tortillas vs. flour so I'm not going to dock them for personal preferences. Enjoy!

This is a good food trailer with a plenty of parking and out door sitting. I had the seafood delight. It was crispy and tasty fresh fried calamari and shrimp. Service was pretty good and not too long of a wait. I would definitely go back again.

These tacos are straight fire!! When I heard these were the best tacos in town, I had to come check it out. Wow, they didn't disappoint in the slightest! I got two street tacos for $5 , one carnitas with the mild salsa and one pastor with the medium salsa. I only had a little time to try them but I easily would've gone back for seconds and potentially thirds! If you see this food truck, go enjoy yourself. Taco Lab has plenty food choices including vegetarian (maybe vegan) choices to offer for great prices. They do have parking and seating where they are normally located across from Hy-Vee. Can't wait to go back and try more of your menu!

Everything we got there was great. We tried a few different things from street tacos to the kung fu chicken tacos and the mad scientist meal. Every was amazing, large portions, great prices, and good drinks!

I love getting the shrimp tacos there. They're always very nice. I waited a bit longer to get my food so they threw in some free drinks.

Amazing. Food was delicious and service was friendly. Best flavors. Menu is so full of options…read more Love the restaurant, friendly, clean, cozy. Prices are affordable and you get a lot of food. My husband had the Moby Dick burrito, which was huge. He devoured it. I had the lunch special, 2x quesoburria + salad. Soooo delicious, and I could only eat 1, all for a great, minimal price. Will def be back. My new favorite restaurant in Rochester. Go here!!!!

The food is Mexican fusion. Fusion with what?…read more Definitely with something Asian for some of the dishes. And something Barbecue. There may be other influences but those 3 in general cover a lot of styles, each on their own! My person and I shared 2 appetizers. We had Crunchy Wontons with birria (slow roasted beef in a red broth that is then shredded - similar to an American pulled pork in consistency). They had a layer of creamy coleslaw slaw dressing and a layer of corn salsa between the meet and the wonton. Since these were open-faced wantons this was important to keep the balance of each each Wonton 's flavors just right. Oh! The red sauce the meat was in was Kung-Fi Sauce. It was very flavored so in that sense spicy and for me any more of whatever brought the heat might be too much, but this certainly was Master sauce. Steak Fries was the other appetizer. A play on words. French Fries ... extra long, well fried to hold up to the steak toppings and not at all oily. In addition to steak there was guacamole, and another sauce. Huh, I was so dazzled by the excellent steak I can't think of the other ingredients beyond guacamole.. I did end up using a fork to make sure that I got everything onboard the fries But they supplied the forks. I stayed at the Homewood Suites and ordered delivery through Grub Hub. They promised our meal would be there between 17:35 and 17:55. But it arrived at exactly 17:30 t may be relevant to someone to know that my taste buds are very sensitive to any red pepper flakes They cause me to cough whether the finished product tastes spicy or not. I had no problems with any.of their food! Unfortunately, I cannot answer any questions about the restaurant or employees but the food was awesome and timely. They handled special requests like the best of the professionals!
