I used to go to Taco Loco in Angleton a lot, I mean A LOT. A month or so ago I asked for an extra salsa with my taco and the "extra healthy" guy wanted to charge me .25 for it. I asked " you want to charge me for a condiment"? He said "yup". I gave him his tacos back and took my $8 to Guadalajara. I asked for an extra salsa there and they asked how many I would like. Taco Loco tacos are just OK but nothing special but the fact that he wanted to charge me for .03 cents worth of plastic and tomato sauce is ridiculous. Taco Loco has the BEST fajita tacos! I am from Austin and was in town for a wedding. I was wanting a breakfast taco, but didn't expect to have the best fajito taco. This is the greatest breakfast taco stand in Texas. I've eaten at 95% of the ones in Austin and a good number from across the state and this is still my favorite. They mix the ingredients up so it's not 'one bite of egg, one bite of bacon', etc. The tortillas are made fresh every day and the texture is phenomenal. The service is so quick, I think all the cooks must have 5 arms each! If there's a line, wait about 2 minutes and you'll be at the front. If you're feeling adventurous, get the beef cheek taco. Another solid-five rolling in for this little place. Don't let the line intimidate you; service is uber-quick without being rude. I've tried everything on the menu but my go-to item that fills me up for at least five or six hours is the Hippo, an absolute beast of a taco with egg, chorizo, bacon, bean, and of course a nice sprinkling of thin cheddar that melts by the time you take your first nibble, wrapped in a homemade tortilla (damn good homemade tortillas, I might add). It's only a few bucks. Add some of their hot sauce and you're golden. TPWD should make a state park out of the area surrounding Taco Loco so myself and others can camp here and get fat on tacos every morning. read more

There's not much to say about this place. It's definitely not what everyone thinks it is. I mean yeah you get your money's worth... I guess. They are generous with the filling of your tacos. The bacon to me is by far the worst I've ever hand in my life. And I've had 99 cent bacon cooked over a hot radiator. They make really good Barbacoa. Probably the best in the area. But they suck at making homemade refried beans. The beans are not cooked right and they are over or under cooked. So sad because the tortillas are really good. The egg and potatoes are usually good too!! They are a little pricey for such a tiny taco. The worst part is the parking lot.
