    Taco Tuesday!
    Sean R.

Great tacos, I like the pastor a lot. It's not the juiciest I've had but it's never too fatty or gristly and we'll seasoned. They've been making a lot of upgrades, improving their truck and seating area for customers which means their prices have had to go up (3.50 per taco, which seems almost standard now at many places). They do Taco Tuesday tho where you can still get them for 2.50! They've also expanded their menu a lot with things like tortas, quesadillas, and Sinaloan tacos (w/ melted cheese and pepper). Great vegetarian options too, you can mix n match to create your own veggie tacos from their list of ingredients. They've got a bunch of tasty house sauces and the ladies are always nice.

Al Pastor tacos. $2.50 and so good

This is one of my favorite taquerias in Portland. I usually order Al Pastor tacos, and they are consistently high quality, affordable, made quickly, and of course super friendly.

They have a Chilaquiles burrito! That should be enough to get you to check it out by itself, in my opinion! I picked up my Chilaquiles burrito drove to the 7-11 and bought a drink, then drove another 20 minutes back to work. Got to my desk and unwrapped the delicious burrito, took a bite and miraculously the yolk from the eggs was still runny! I can't even get over easy eggs that good from most breakfast diners! I ate the entire thing (which was just as big as you would expect from a good place) in one sitting, which probably wasn't the best idea but it was delicious and I couldn't stop. They have a bunch of different sauces available and many other options to eat. I want to come back and try their tacos, but its going to be really difficult to not get the Chilaquiles burrito again.

Carnitas Mulita $17(?) - like a giant quesadilla and comes with a giant handful of fries. Enough to feed 2-3 hungry people!

So good! I love this place. The meats are delicious, the staff is friendly and they have nacho cheese! Say what you will, cheese sauce on a great nacho just makes it more amazing. I love that liquid gold! I've had nachos here, the carne asada fries, quesadillas and tonight tried the mulita. It's the size of a medium pizza and can feed like a medium pizza would ( def 2-3 people). It had carnitas, cheese, onions, cilantro... amazing. It didn't taste heavy either! Not sure if it was the cilantro, but it just didn't taste like a greasy, gut bomb like you might expect. It's hard to explain. I also had a breakfast burrito but haven't gotten to it yet because I was full off 2 slices of the mulita and cheese fries. Yeah! Nacho cheesy fries! Another thing that really tickles me is that they actually put some effort into packing your food. For example: the nachos. It's not just stuff thrown over chips. It's layered and well topped. You won't eat all the topping and be left with chips at the bottom. No. No sir-y. That bitch will be meaty and cheesy from start to finish! And the giant quesadilla slices are strategically placed in the box. Ahh... it's just the small things that make a difference for me. But most importantly to me - the meats are all good. No grisly asada, bland chicken or soggy carnitas. When you've got a solid base, everything else just falls into place. Support small and local folks. We need places like this to stick around!

We love the tables to sit and have our food fresh, but the takeout has also been easy and just as good. The price for the portions is great and the food delicious every single time. We have tried a lot of options here, tacos, burritos, nachos, the super taco combo, and their different juices. All good. Would recommend if you're looking for a chill Mexican spot with even better food.

Ah man! I was so excited to try this food truck after reading the reviews. We arrived just after…read morethey opened and the gentleman at the window was very friendly and helpful. I tipped generously assuming the food was going to be excellent. We ordered 2 Langua tacos, asada burrito, carnitas burrito and a carnitas quesadilla. We were told that it would be about 15 minutes. The space is right on 26, so fairly noisy. There were a few tables an available. The food was ready on time and we went home. I cut the carnitas burrito in half for my daughter and found 2 large bones. My other daughter, who ordered the carnitas quesadilla, found a bone as well. The carnitas itself had good flavor but an abundance of grease was an issue. The asada was pretty good and balanced with the beans and rice. The Langua had some spice to it and was flavorful and tender. The tomatillo and spicy sauce were great. The burritos were mislabeled on there boxes (asada was carnitas and vise versa). Pretty disappointed and hope this occurrence is not the norm.

The person at the counter taking our order was helpful, efficient, and their enthusiasm carried over into the dining portion of the visit. My rule of thumb is that if a place has Cochinita Pibil on the menu, then they can be counted on to do things right. My CP taco had just the right amount of spice to leave me with a pleasant, warm feeling inside, about a half hour after we left. The horchata was cool and soothing, even though it had a wonderful, over-the-top cinnamon flavor. Having tables with permanently assigned numbers, and having your table assigned at the time you place your order makes for a spectacularly efficient way of getting you settled, and getting your food to the table in short order. Their artwork adds to the joyous ambiance - photo tributes to entertainers makes it fun.

The food here is incredible. The calabazitas are amazing (sautéed zucchini, onions, corn, tomatoes,…read morepoblanos) as is the carnitas. The beans are very well seasoned and delicious. Chips come out fresh and warm. I was very impressed. The place is busy and packed, and the inside is pretty warm. We were luckily able to sit outside which was cooler than inside, even on a warm day. My little gripes are that you can't order a side of any of the proteins on its own, and you can't add a different kind of protein to a bowl, even though they have an option to add protein. The cost adds up pretty quickly - it was about $50 for two of us, for two bowls, two drinks, a taco, and chips, and we didn't really have leftovers. I actually think they charged us incorrectly (I asked to add chips to my bowl and they put it in as a side of chips instead). Overall, the food is delicious and I'm looking forward to going again!

It is the kind of place you instantly feel comfortable settling into. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind, and the service was genuinely great throughout. We ordered the Quekas with vegan chorizo and black beans and they were SO good, honestly a standout. The chips and guac were also a hit, and I loved that the guac was actually cold. Such a small detail that makes a big difference. The Citrus Salad was super fresh, crisp, and delicious, which balanced everything out perfectly. I also tried the NA classic margarita and it was so refreshing. I loved the subtle touch of orange juice. Overall, such a lovely spot with amazing food, great vibes, and thoughtful details. I will definitely be back!

Also, fyi, on apple map, it lists the new Beaverton loc as only open 7:30-10 pm, this is not true. I confirmed it with the employees at the food truck. We are so happy we tried this place. We almost didn't, because we have been let down so many times trying to get good Mexican food. Maybe that is the way to try out something new, with very low expectations. In this case, it really worked. We got chicken burritos. I confirm also that it is chicken breast, and it is grilled. Wow, it's crazy good chicken, so much flavor. This is as good or better than El Jefe. The burrito was large and I finished it all. I think they forgot to add in some of the things to have everything included but even with that it was still the best burrito we have had in PDX. I think it was missing cilantro, pickled onions, sour cream and maybe cheese and still it has so much flavor. Can you imagine how good it could be. We will be back. They use whole peruvian beans, that's a nice touch. Good salsa too. No Jamaica. It would be great to list the Beaverton loc on the website and list phone numbers. We really wanted to try it, but thought it was closed. I'd like everything to be hotter too. Everyone was friendly.
