I love Taco Mexico most of the time but I ordered the taco salad for the first time and I couldn't eat it. The shell was soggy with grease, the lettuce was wilted and the toppings were so bad I couldn't stand the taste. I got the beef, which was both fatty and chewy. Ew! Bottom line, I took 4 bites and chose chips and salsa for dinner. I love the chimichangas and enchiladas, so not sure why the fail, but I have to warn others because this restaurant is not cheap.

I am originally from California, and as most Californians know it 's not easy to find Mexican quite like the Mexican food in California. I would say that Taco Mexico comes the closest. Recently we stopped in and they have expanded the restaurant. It's always clean, the staff is friendly, and the service is quick and consistent. My mom had the two tacos plate with chicken. I had the chimichanga with carne asada. Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious! The only complaint I have is on my chimichanga. It was mostly beans. The carne asada was tiny bits and there was not much of it. I doubt if there was a quarter of a cup of meat. Not very California like. For $15.99 I'd expect more. All in all it was still great and I highly recommend eating here.

We live in Polson and have been looking for a good Mexican restaurant and we were delighted to find this wonderful place. From the homemade delicious salsa to the wonderful main dishes and good wine and nice selection of beer, we could not have been happier. The decor is very colorful and clean and the staff is just the best. So glad to have found our new go to place.

Update your yelp and Google. Page says u are open till 9pm. Drove from Trego for chili Verde and u are closed till 1/15/18! Don't rely on phone message!. Tried to call, busy, then nothing. Finally called again when when we were driving... ugh. Post dates and hours on all accounts!

Not the best and far from the worst. We both had beef enchiladas. The mild red sauce was tasty. Beef was like a roast beef, not really seasoned. Added salsa for flavor. Beans and rice were good. The service was efficient. Prices were reasonable for a resort town. This is all I have to say!

Great Mexican - don't be fooled by the hand made sign it's delicious. The enchiladas with cream sauce are wonderful. The same goes for the taco salad - it comes in a wonderful crispy bowl with great chicken on top. Worth a try if you're looking for good basic Mexican food in the Bigfork area. read more

Looking for legit Mexican food in Montana? Should try this place out. Carnitas tacos, beans and rice were great. Personally I think the chips and salsa could be better but I'm just glad we found it. Will definitely be back. read more

Worst Mexican restaurant EVER. I don't find joy in posting negative reviews, but this place is nothing short of a joke. The only positive was the guac. Not bad at all. We ordered the queso and chicken fajitas to split and both were terribly sub par. "Queso" was a plate of melted shredded Colby Jack. If you're that lazy, at least melt a Mexican cheese. The chicken fajitas were strips of chicken, onion and peppers in a greasy, tasteless red sauce. The one waitress for the 10 tables, who was also bussing them and taking phone orders did her level best, but overall our experience here was a disaster. AVOID THIS PLACE! read more

Pretty good. Really the question is, is five stars really attainable. 7 of us art at this restaurant and they did a good job on every plate. They definitely have there own style of cooking Mexican. I finished my whole plate so that is saying something. My wife was happy so that is a extra star. read more

This is the best Mexican food you will find in the Flathead Valley. I grew up in Los Angeles and understand what good authentic Mexican food is. If you want fruity margaritas and lavish decor -- this is not the place. The restaraunt was impecably clean and the staff was very friendy. The prices are reasonable and the portions are large. The appeitizers, chips and salsa were good. This was our first visit and everyone in our group was very happy with their food. Average price for each meal with drinks was $15 and we brought home leftovers. They have a decent selection of Mexican beers and sodas. Overall, we were all very pleasantly surprised and will be back when we are near Bigfork. read more

Ok so this place is just fine. Unless you a huge Mexican food savant you will be fine here. I had the carne asada and it was very good. Plenty to eat and food came out hot and promptly. Just beer and wine no margarita's. Service was good. read more

Best Mexican food in Bigfork. Truly authentic. The cooks and wait-staff are mostly Mexican and they know Mexican food. Can't beat it. Mexican immigrants and migrant laborers eat here (not at the other fancier place down the road, for gringo tourists) so you know it's authentic. Simple atmosphere but clean and comfortable. Or order and take-out. Service is friendly and fast. Prices very reasonable. If you know authentic Mexican food and like it, this is the place. read more

i understand the market this place is in, and that ok, but most of the foke's that live here full time are not used to hot/spice food. So as a bussness owner ( David ) trys to find a happy medium. But if you ever get to know him he will bring out the spicy stuff. To see my rating of good Mexican food in western Montana look at my other post's, you will not be disappointed. read more

Freaking fantastic. I'm always happy when I eat here. The enchilada sauce is amazing! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they don't make their own chips. But they do make their own delicious salsa! Seriously, eat here. You won't be sorry! Or hungry! read more

If you want authentic Mexican food this is the place. Their food is delicious! It is worth the drive to Bigfork. I love their asado burrito and they are the only ones who make Chile rellenos like my hubby likes. Yummy! read more

I eat here regularly, and love it! It is a nice casual restaurant with authentic Mexican dishes. My favorites are the tacos and enchiladas with some yummy chips and fresh salsa. The rice is some of the best I've ever had which makes it really hard to leave behind ... although I must because the portions are huge! The service has always been polite and very fast, and I can't help but imagine that the one poor review here had a personal axe to grind. read more

A great find in a small town in Montana! This is the "real deal" and not the ground beef laden, cheesy Mexican/American variety food that you find in nearly all towns across the country. For a truly excellent,traditionally prepared chile relleno, tamale, taco or you name it, this is your best bet. Real Mexican food in a traditional, nothing fancy, family owned and operated restaurant. They also serve beer and wine. read more
