Everything was fresh. This is the best Mexican food I have had and I eat a lot of Mexican food. Highly recommend the margarita and the street tacos. We had barbacoa, lengua, and shrimp. They were all incredible. The service was awesome, the atmosphere was inviting and vibrant, and we even got to hang out with Thomas, the owner, and share some laughs. We were downtown Bigfork shopping and decided to try this Mexican restaurant. We both had lunch portions and ordered a margarita. Our lunch came to $42 each. The food was OK. The service was good. Their salsa tasted pretty good but came in a small container and the margarita was decent. The margarita was in a 16 ounce pint glass was $15...too expensive for us...I think $42 before tip for lunch each is high and for this reason we won't be going back. read more

We walked in and didn't get much of a greeting at all. Was not busy at all and we sat at the bar for a while. I asked him what flavor margaritas they had and he told me to just "choose a flavor and he'll tell me if he can make it or not". My boyfriend ordered a beer and he asked him which modelo he wanted and seemed annoyed when my boyfriend asked which kinds they had. Ambiance was basic. 5/5 - margarita was fantastic. Tasted fresh. 5/5 - fresh brewed iced tea was perfect. 3/5 - four street tacos with fish. Tortillas were excellent, the fish was seasoned well. Filling was a tiny portion. 3/5 - shrimp asada was a good portion with very tasty and nicely cooked shrimp. 1/5 - refried beans were cold. Not good. 1/5 - rice is bland, very disappointing. First time trying this restaurant and it was delicious! I'm not originally from Montana and have been on a search for the closet thing I can call "authentic" Mexican cuisine. You will find that here. Food: birria street tacos with a side of rice and beans. The street tacos were delicious and filled with tender beef. They could be bigger for the price but it specifies these are street tacos. The rice was fluffy and seasoned well. The refried beans were creamy and seasoned well. The chips and salsa are to die for!! They also serve delicious house made cocktails! Price: $14 for the tacos and $4 for each side. Total of $22 Service: our waiter Francisco was amazing! The owner was kind and greeted us. Ambiance: nice open space. Beautiful location. I have been waiting to go to this location for over a year. The food is not bad. The lack of personality and friendliness is why I would never go back. Not everyone that comes to this truck is a local and many are from out of state and know good TACOS TACOS are my best friend and these were like a best friend fight that hurts your feelings and leaves you wondering if you will be friends in the morning. There were 9 of us on 6/16/25, a very slow night for this restaurant. they brought out chips and salsa which were good. Margaritas were not very good. We ordered and after 15 minutes they brought out to meals for my wife and I. We had the flautas and they were dry, tasteless. I had the shredded beef and my wife had the chicken. The side of rice was under cooked an very crunchy. Ten minutes later they brought out 2 more meals. ten minutes later, 2 more meals. Getting the picture? Staff w.as friendly but they had no choice. It was a disaster. One member of our party ordered another drink and they failed to bring it for 20 minutes. When they did, the comped it. For the money we spent, this was absolutely awful. Crazy good empanadas and wow, just so cool to have an authentic taco truck in Montana. The dough on the empanadas is perfectly flaky and fried GBD. The filling is generous with cheese. I chose chicken but there is also pork and beef. You gotta get an empanada here absolutamente. Carne asada was good, not the best I've had but still really good. Salsas were fresh and home made. Loved the tomatillo! We also tried the Mexican corn, burrito, and tacos birria. All wanted to come back for more. I read other reviews about the service and I did notice a bit of reservation and a wall put up. But life is hard, winters are abismal in Montana and there is a lot of racism here so I chalked it up to that. So give them some love and enjoy the food! read more

Re Taco Loco: Heard this was a good place. Not our experience. We were the only customers and the food took a long time. Everything was watered down for some reason! Soda was watered down and barely carbonated, they watered down the salsa with the chips served it in a sample cup. That was a first. Sour cream was watered down. Consistency was like buttermilk! Big turn off. Maybe it was mayo/ water? My food was cold in the middle, beans and rice Luke warm. Sent it back especially at those prices My husband's guacamole had turned bad and was fermenting. You could see and smell it was bad. He also received the incorrect meat with his order. Our server was sweet and apologetic, but I had to go find her. We weren't trying to cause trouble or are difficult patrons at all but it was really bad, and especially at those prices. Owner/cook came out to say it was free. Turned out she only meant the sample cup of fermented guacamole. They gave us a 10% discount. Server checked with the other owner and he said 10%. We paid and left -will not be going back. read more

Seeing lengua on the menu is a good sign when looking for more authentic fare, and it's a big plus that their guac and salsas are made in-house. We visited this food truck twice in a 4-day timeframe. The tacos are authentic and delicious. We had chicken and steak on both corn and flour tortillas. Additionally, the pupusa was out of this world. My son ordered it and I couldn't stop digging my fork in. The prices are reasonable and the couple that runs the truck was so friendly.
