TLDR: Excellent spot for drinks and Mexican food. Home to the 45oz Margarita, amazingly friendly staff, and a nice patio! (Slightly) longer review for those not in a hurry: Taste (5/5) : I ordered the Botana Platter which had chick taquitos, jalapeno poppers, and yucca fries. I LOVED this. Although a bit pricier, it was well worth it. Everything was very fresh and the textures worked perfectly with the flavours. They did note when we seated that their dishes aren't spicy, but still authentic (I asked them for spicy recommendations). I figured that since Niagara Falls is such a touristy area, they had to make things less spicy for those less spicy people! They had an in-house hot sauce that was real spicy though, so my spice craving was still satisfied. I also ordered the steak fajita and fish tacos, all of which came piping hot. Everything was delicious, but the flavours were still fresh and stood out dish between dish. Definitely recommend! Place (4/5) : I'm not a drinker, so I was only able to oggle at the 45oz margaritas other people were ordering (it was the size of a medium bowl of pho). The patio was great and open though, and the bar area was festive. I can see this spot being quite nice even in the winter months with the closed patio. We had lunch here while visiting Niagara fall. If you in the area I recommend try this place out. I can't believe I can find a good Mexican food in this area. Went there Aug 2025. The vibe was good. the outdoor patio was huge and busy. The bathroom was in the basement and not convenient to access. Ordered the trio nachos and had plenty of salsa, dip, quac, but insufficient chips, so we asked for more chips and got hit with an extra $5 charge. The food was good and location was good. We had the chipotle chicken bacon quesadillas and the chicken with mole sauce. The mole dish came with rice and beans, the quesadillas did not. Very cute space with great day of the dead murals. The service was ok. They were a little slow on bringing the cheque. The quesadillas were good. Cheesy and had enough bacon. The mole dish was a different story. The beans and rice were not hot and the rice was dry. The mole sauce was - to me - very sweet for a chicken dish. It took halfway through the meal to get water refills. Lesson learned. Don't get Mexican in a non Mexican tourist city. By the way we love Niagara. They also have a lot of vineyards here. read more

We arrived to find a massive line to get in, so we were very relieved to have a reservation. We got the Chorizo tacos and Barbacoa Beef tacos. They both tasted pretty good, but the combination of flavours within each taco did not seem to have a lot of thought put into it. Even though we each got three tacos, they were so small that we were still hungry after we ate them. I felt that for the price we paid we should have got tacos that either tasted better or were more filling. The fries were excellent and stood out to me from the fries at a lot of other places. We didn't want to stay too long so we ordered enchiladas and churros to take home. We weren't able to order until a while after we finished eating because our waiter never checked on us so I had to wave him over. We waited at least half an hour for the food and then we got home only to discover they forgot to give us the chocolate sauce! The churros were mediocre so the chocolate was sorely missed. However, the enchiladas were quite tasty despite being a soggy mess. If the high prices and poor service were expected to be justified by the experience, then I think they needed a live performance. The music they played was so loud you need to be a skilled lip reader to have a conversation. The drinks were big, flashy, and instagram-worthy, but that's not enough to make this restaurant worthwhile. Do yourself a favour and go to Lost + Found Taqueria instead. read more

Taco N Tequila is convenient because it's close to many of the hotels in the hyper-touristy area. You can check in, park the car, and then walk there, which is precisely what we did. To be frank, I'm not sure I would categorize their fare as "Mexican food", but perhaps Canadian-style Mexican ( ?). In any case, the taste was average. My wife had the fish tacos (which were ok), and I had the burrito flojo with chorizo (which was not so tasty). On the other hand, our drinks -- a passion fruit mojito and a coronarita -- were great! Though I think that the prices are higher than they should be. I get that when you are in a tourist area you are expected to be of a certain price. Don't get me wrong the food was good but really it was just good. The host on the other hand was very personable. He made my wait manageable it was like we had known one another for years. And he was able to explain a 'Mexican-Canadian' term that I had never heard in all of my food network years of watching... in a hot dish there was a reference to "mice". Of course I had to ask. I was told that it refers to jalapeno poppers...and of course that's where my mind should have gone. Silly me! However, after that explanation I went with the chorizo quesadilla and for dessert there was a cheesecake churro that was delicious! The food is okay, kind of pricey for what you get but that's just Niagara Falls pricing. We got the chimichanga to share and the carne asada fries. Both super filling and enough for two people. Stopped in here while visiting Niagara Falls for dinner. Portions were large, service was great, and the food was decent. My favorite thing was the taquitos, and the chips with salsa. The food wasn't anything special and was your typical chain restaurant quality. Lots of beer and cocktail options made it the perfect place to sit back, and relax after a very long day of walking and hiking around the area. They missed the mark for me. Had to wait a bit for seating and the tables are so close together that you feel like you're dining with the people next to you. Our server, Solome, was fabulous. Unfortunately, the frozen margarita was a pre-mix, semi frozen and not great with an odd aftertaste. The chips and salsa were amazing!! Fresh and warm chips with a delicious salsa. I wanted to order a cheese enchilada but was told they could not do that - only chicken or vegetables - that was odd and really disappointing. Instead I had some weird, huge burrito filled with beans, rice and odd veggies. Not great. I also ordered beans and rice expecting the usual Mexican rice and refried beans. I got a very mild rice and black beans. Husband had fish tacos which he reported as "fair" though he really liked the beans and rice. The server who attended to us noted that the resto moved location within the last year. We had a bit of trouble confirming this was the same establishment, but it certainly is bigger and brighter. I'm not sure if there was a change of management, but the music and ambiance certainly was kicked up a notch. We did not have reservations but after a 15 minute wait we got a nice table and our order was taken reasonable quickly. The margaretas had choices of regular for about $13.00 for a double shot to a huge size for about $26.00. The server did a good job of upselling to a second one and another $4.00 pineapple juice. They were ok but for the price the size was quite lacking (see pic). The guac came on its own without salsa and while good, a few additional sauces would have been pleasant. The burrito was bland and filled with beans and rice with little meat. In addition, the hard tacos were straight put of the box, with standard beef filling you can do at home. Overall, a good option to sit outside, have a few drinks and enjoy some great music. My husband and I were really looking forward to trying this spot. But ewwwww n never gonna be back. Salsa from canned tomato paste, cheesy queso dip was runny, fish tacos were over cooked w/mango sauce from a jar, n no lime. Canned beans and instant rice. The el pastor was not seasoned correctly n the chicken was rubbery I tried 1 pice of chicken n was like no that's horrible, Nothing from this place was authentic, or appetizing. My husband and I didn't bother to finish our meal, the service was good, since the wait was not long due to a 90 min mealtime limit. We would not be coming back, we were pretty disappointed, we knew it wouldn't be as good as anything close, or compared to southern CA options, but honestly was way worse than we expected. A Taco Bell would have been a better option as this place seems all meals are frozen n would not be able to substitute any part of your order. I initially wanted to substitute the chicken taquitos to shredded beef which you would assume would not be a big deal, but I guess if your not making them and it's most likely frozen I should have put that together. My friends coworker recommended this place and it did not disappoint! My friends and I got a veggie nacho to share. The portion was massive and the chips appear to be freshly baked. There were plenty of guacamole and other vegetable toppings. It was very flavorful, definitely one of the better nacho dishes I've had. BEST place for a night out drinking. Busy place with a lively atmosphere. Went here for a Saturday dinner while staying at a hotel across the street. It was busy so I suggest making a reservation or joining the wait list early if you're planning to eat here. The host and server were very friendly! We ordered the pollo al pastor tacos, shrimp tacos, and chips n guac. For drinks we had some shots of 1800 coconut tequila, and a glass of their blue margarita on the rocks. The chips and guac were a great starter! Chips were warm and crispy, and the guac had a great lime flavour to it. The guac was super smooth and almost had a slimy consistency, which I wasn't the biggest fan of because I prefer chunks in my guac. Shrimp tacos were our favourite out of the two, perfectly cooked shrimp with a bite of freshness and sweetness from the mango mixed with it. Pollo al pastor was very flavourful, however I found the chicken a bit dry. We got it with beans and extra guac which helped to add some kind of moisture to it. The blue margarita was great! Not overly sweet and just a hint of tequila (very dangerous LOL). Overall, we enjoyed the experience and the food. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the Niagara Falls area! read more

The red sauce is literally a canned tomato sauce and by no means is an enchilada sauce. The chicken is moist but does not make up for the awful taste of the sauce. Don't order this!! I asked the manager (Sheila) to replace my dish with something else or take it off the bill, she refused to help at all. We drove by this place a few times on our stay in Niagara Falls and decided to try it for lunch. Upon walking in, the environment was great! Music that was just loud enough and a very friendly staff. We were immediately seated and the waitress brought us a pitcher of water and two glasses (I drink a lot of water so having the pitcher was great). I opened that menu app (because physical menus were not available) to see that chips and salsa were $10. I don't know about you, but I've never been to a Mexican restaurant where they didn't give you chips and salsa upon being seated. So to have to pay for them, we opted for the salsa, queso , guac trio since it was just $5 more. Still super expensive for the portion size. We were conservative with the chips because if we needed more, it was an additional $5. I understand we are in a tourist town but that's a bit high in my opinion. On to the entrees. I got chorizo tacos which were more like street taco size with small portions of meat. They were less than impressive. You then got rice OR beans, which again, I've never been to a Mexican restaurant where you didn't get both. I opted to buy both to give them a try. The rice was blah but the beans were fantastic! Some of the best refried black beans I've had. My wife got a chicken quesadilla which was grilled very well. It was juicy and cheesy! She also got a strawberry house margarita that she thought was good but very sweet. She would get one again. Great spot, close to hotels and casino. We made a reservation for our anniversary and were not disappointed. Looks great inside, great mural! We were acknowledged and sat quickly. Waitress was awesome, extremely helpful. Menu hits all the important items you would expect and has a couple surprises. I had the coconut shrimp tacos and my wife had the tacos de pollo. Both were very good, rice and beans were good too. They had a pair of drinks sent to our table along with a card signed by the staff for the occasion. We were surprised, it was very thoughtful. I had very high hopes after hearing so much about this place. We went around 4pm on a Sunday to try to avoid the line, we only waited about 10 minutes. They were only seating on the patio so it's pretty uncomfortable on a super hot day, but margaritas will cool you down! Service was quite awful, we sat waiting over 5 minutes before anyone came to our table, another table who were seated after us had their drinks before a server had even come to our table. He finally came and we ordered drinks (jalapeño margarita for me and coronarita for my husband) and an appetizer, the three amigos (tortilla chips with salsa. Guac and queso) it took forever for our drinks to come same with our appetizer. Our server said he would be back shortly to take our food order. We waited probably 15-20 minutes and he hadn't come back, so we had to flag someone down and ask them for help, they got us what we needed right away. The food was ok, my flautas were a small portion for the price and they don't come with any sides. They are drenched in the green sauce which is very sour, and the bed of lettuce is a soggy mess. If there was less green sauce and more sour cream it would have been a lot better! My husband enjoyed his Barbacoa tacos. And we loved the churros with dulcet de leche. I would probably come back again and try something else. They do have an amazing drink menu. read more

The queso was good when hot but as it cooled has a weird taste. I got taquitos served with more of the gross guacamole which again were good when hot but as they cooled tasted weird. My friend has barbacoa tacos that weren't very flavorful at all, she was piling on all the toppings in an attempt to add some flavor. Also kind of expensive for the sub-par food. Came here for dinner as Mexican was wanted and the coupon was for a free chips and dip. This restaurant does not provide complementary chips at the table. Started with my pictured Margarita and a well stacked nachos with chicken (+$2), cheese, jalapeño, beans, and a dollop of guacamole. This was complemented with the free chips and guacamole dip from the coupon. The stacked nachos were $21 Canadian which I thought was a bit overpriced. However, these chips were just freshly made and were some of the best chips I've ever tasted. Actually, anything just fresh out the door tastes better. This is why we all suffered from overloading on chips before the entrees came out. If we knew how big the stacked nachos were going to be then we could have just stopped right there. Kids and wife all had a chicken chimichanga and I had chicken fajitas. The chimichangas were huge and they all liked how it tasted. The kids did not like their side salads because the dressing was not on the side. My fajitas were well done, but the tortillas were overdone. I ended up just eating right from the skillet after only getting one tortilla to come out ok. Still, had good amount of food. We all had food left over, but decided to not take it with us. We made a big mess, and again we had chip comas. The guacamole was not that great; I make a better one according to my wife. Service was fine - mostly teens in their first jobs and they were as efficient as possible. $165 Canadian for two Margaritas, 4 entrees, 1 appetizer, 3 sodas, including tax/tip. Pleasant, not 100% certain to return, but the portions were large, and food decent. Chips were 10 Stars! I'm rounding my 3 1/2 Stars up this time. read more
