We had a late lunch, so only wanted something light I had the caprese salad. My bf had a Caesar salad. We both enjoyed them. We sat in a comfortable booth in the back. Happy it wasn't loud despite many tables being full and a good band playing outside in front. BIG shout out to our super waitress, Emma. After we were seated, we asked if we'd have time to eat and be back to the hotel in time for the fireworks. She said yes. We had nearly an hour, but she hustled like we only had 20 minutes. Emma was friendly, professional and did her utmost to get us out on time. I was really impressed. We're only here for two days. We researched several Italian restaurants in the area prior to trying my My Cousin Vinny's Italian restaurant. We ordered the chicken Parmigiana and even though the chicken itself was a little thinner than I prefer the Marinara sauce was amazing. The sauce is house made and very flavorful. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant atmosphere was great. Carbonara was pasty and gluey. It came out so fast it must have been premade. We took 2/3 home and added 3/4 cup of cream and reheated it. Much better. Service was really good. My husband was craving spaghetti and meatballs, so we decided to try My Cousin Vinny. Driving up, we were amazed at the beautiful plants surrounding the front of the building. Once we got inside, however, we weren't as impressed. All the upholstery is in need of a good clean. Our server was very friendly and helpful. I'm sorry I didn't get his name. My husband ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, with two extra meatballs, and I ordered the spaghetti carbonara. We dined at My Cousin Vinny's in fall of 2022, and enjoyed it so much we included this restaurant in our visit this year. This is home cooked Italian comfort food at it's best. We ordered baked lasagna with a side salad and warm focaccia bread. The meal, as expected was delicious and filling. The decor is old world, warm, and inviting. Patio dining is available in warmer temperatures. There is live music on certain evenings. Sarah, our server was friendly, conversational, and attentive. Not good, but if you're going to get anything, get the pizza. Look- there are very few options in Niagara Falls. It's a tourist town full of mostly 1.5-3 star restaurants so you can't expect much. But thankfully, they were open until 11 when we arrived late into town. We ordered a pizza and pasta to share. The pasta was not good. It wasn't very flavorful but we were hungry and it served it's purpose. On the other hand, the pizza was actually pretty good. The crust had a nice crisp and we enjoyed the carmelized onions and crispy meats. We had two servers during our meal. The first was hilarious in that he couldn't remember a thing including what was in menu items but it was close to closing so he gets a pass. Our second was super friendly and sweet which was very appreciated! Super yummy! Traveling here from the US and it's difficult to find somewhere that's not 100% tourist while also not having to pay for parking. We got sat quick and there was a good drink menu (drafts, cocktails, wine, etc.). The pasta was very good and there's a good range of food items to choose from. They have vegan and vegetarian options as well (not much but a few). The atmosphere was nice, there was an outdoor band that was playing but it was too hot to sit outside. Some strangeness eating at Vinny's. We were a group of 10 people but they wouldn't all seat us together. Regardless they charged us a gratuity for being a group. Hmmm. A bit sketchy with that in my mind. Charging gratuity for a group is pretty common practice but would be nice to remind the diners before getting the bill. Anyway, the waitstaff were all fine. The food came pretty quickly. The bruschetta tasted good & the bread was nice & crispy. I tasted a bite of hubby's meatballs on his spaghetti. It was okay, not mind blowing though. I had the penne bolognese. The gluten free pasta doesn't taste that great. I know some people will say gluten free pasta doesn't taste good anyway. But I have tried some that taste good. The sauce is just average. The food is lacking in flavour in my opinion. The place got busy the longer we stayed there. It looks like a nice restaurant. The decor, large outdoor patio, indoor washrooms were all clean & nicely arranged. They even had a live band playing. The food just didn't impress me that much. I'm a very picky eater. It is an italian restaurant. Hard to go wrong. Good food. Good service. My family was very hungry after walking 8 miles on the river walk. Being famished, I was able to completly eat the speghetti and meatballs I ordered. They had a live band outside but we decided to enjoy the air conditioning inside after being out in the heat all day. This is up from the vernicular from the river walk. Next time staying at a Hotel near the vernicular would be better to more readily sight see. read more

Why efficiency is awesome, it's as though the food was already prepped and waiting for it's next table...not so fresh, home cooked. Our waitress was nice but the other waitress/server that stood behind our table had such a scowl on her face (even when you tried to smile at her) made the meal not such a friendly atmosphere.
