Had a slow start but maybe I was just in a mood. Have to say the waiter was spot on recommending the margarita with the regular tequila. Of course he could have upcharged but he was right. Well balanced. The steak fajitas fed two. The kids almost finished their tacos. The croquettes are one of my absolute favorites and they really were great. We all sampled each others food and I would come back if I was in the area again. The shrimp on garlic sauce had some heat. All around great place. Parking in the area was rough. Enjoyed a very tasty dinner at this spot, but just beware when ordering cooking will take a while! We were seated on the patio, which was nice, felt more airy. The interior of this restaurant is very small, with limited seating. I'd say patio seating is the best. We put our names in and were told it would be 30-40 minutes, so went up the road for a drink...as our drinks came out, the table became ready, in only about 20 minutes, so we had to drink quick and head back. We got back and a server took our drink order, they took a bit to bring them out and then we placed our order. We ordered a chicken Paella to share. The menu did note paella would take 45 minutes to cook, so we also got a few appetizers, ceviche, guacamole and Patatas bravas. After about 2 minutes, we had to flag down the water again and check the apps were coming g our first, and not everything at once...he went to check and then began bringing them out. The wait was long, but they were all good. As they began taking away appetizer plates they brought a hot plate for the paella and a bowl "for the shells"...at this point I reminded him we got the chicken paella, he agreed and took it away, it was then about 45 minutes later (1.5 hours total) that he finally brought them out chicken paella out, acknowledging the long wait and informing us he accidentally put the original order in for for seafood paella. Nothing the long wait and the Erie, he told us the paella would be computed and profusely apologized for his error and the long wait. We appreciated his honesty and making things right by not charging us for the main dish after such a long wait. The paella ended up being very good and was way more than the (4) of us could eat. Overall, the food was good, service could use some work on their communication, but they did right by us. I'd try it again if ever in the area! read more

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Patio Andaluz. We had the seafood paella and the baja tacos. If you plan to order a paella, plan to let the servers know as soon as you arrive because they say it takes around 45 minutes to make. While we waited, we had their complimentary chips and the tacos, which were so delicious. The fish was amazing, and they added all the perfect toppings to go with it. The seafood paella was not as greasy or salty as other places, and the rice was also more cooked than usual. It suits our preferences, so we loved it. The staff are all extremely friendly, and the restaurant was incredibly lively with loud music and lots of people drinking on a weekend night. read more

Typically I am not too fond of Mexican food as my system can not handle the spices. Let me tell you their fish Paella dish was to die for close your eyes and you think you are in Spain. Their Sangria as well was excellent I had the one with white wine, yummy. A very busy location but the service was fast and prompt, our server Carlos was amazing and really a cool guy. The place is very nice with an outside patio and an inside seating very well and tastefully decorated to suit the Spanish Mexican Ambiance. A one hopping place I must say, please reserve as you won't find place to sit and this is on a Tuesday a rather quiet day. Cheers and enjoy. read more

Really cute Spanish restaurant where the inside decor and patio transported me! We ordered the seafood Paella which looked impressive and definitely was more than enough food for 2 people. I'd suggest 3-4 people to share. However, their paella was REALLY greasy and the rice was absolutely drenched with oil. Really cute place that we stopped by for dinner. Not a long wait, and the patio was covered and had great vibes. We ordered 2 dishes and 1 drink and they were all fantastic. We noticed the seafood paella would take about 30 min to make, so we made sure to put in our order prior to ordering any drinks or starters. Highly recommend ordering the paella first because it does take that long - but it is so worth it. The best paella we've had with plenty to take home as well. The saffron notes were there, and it was delicious, but quite salty. We stopped by St Catherines on a day trip to Niagara on the Lake and have 0 regrets at randomly deciding to pick this restaurant. Service was a little slow, but there were many parties of 4 around us (party of 2) but honestly the food made up for it. Would definitely recommend this place! read more

A purely lovely place. Finally had its soft opening after a long wait. Family owned and operated. He is a Spaniard and she is Mexican. Lovely atmosphere and music. Food is great. Just like being invited into their home. I'll attach the menu. Everyone working at the place seems to belong to this newly added hem to Port Dalhousie. Stopped in with high hopes of a great local Mexican place, didn't take long to be disappointed. When we entered we were greeted with a sign that said please wait to be seated. We waited, and waited, the restaurant wasn't busy but we waited. After about 5 minutes standing in the door of an almost empty restaurant I walked around to the bar to be told sit anywhere. Face in palms we found a seat. The menu is very small, and that's usually a good sign, well not here . Ordered nachos as a starter and they were just OK. More chips and salsa with some cheese, very little veggies on it. At least the salsa is house made and quite good. They should offer bowls of it with chips as an option. Ordered beef taco and fish taco, this is where it all went wrong. The beef was so so, but the fish taco was served with a frozen supermarket fish triangle on it. Are you kidding me lol. The sauce and veg on it was good but frozen fish. What can I say, I've had fish tacos all over the world but never with a Captain Highliner fish stick. Dam what would Gordon Ramsay say lol read more

This was the worst dining experience I've had, possibly ever. We came in for a glass of wine and snack. We ordered 2 items from the tapas menu: fried calamari and ham/cheese croquets. Our waitress said it was her 4th day on the job. She got our order wrong. We waited over 45 minutes; we finally got calamari. We asked about our croquets. They never came. Almost an hour into our wait, a cheese and meat platter came (not ordered) with no bread. We asked for bread. It took another 10 minutes. We watched at the bar as 3 waitresses drank margaritas. We ordered our own from the bar...and waited another 10 minutes. When our drinks finally came, they were not margaritas. We sent them back. The waitresses started drinking our drinks at the bar. We gave up and asked for the bill and a box. It took another 10 minutes for both. It was over $109 for food/drinks we didn't order and what we did order was incorrect, along with a terribly long wait, and even worse service. We would never go back. read more

A great little place in Port Dalhousie that will be an absolutely amazing space when they're able to open the patio! Warm, friendly service from the proprietors is immediately welcoming and that same care clearly extends to the food. We started with guacamole followed with shrimp croquettes and garlic aioli - both were great. The Tacos Baja were fantastic and the flavours of both the Tacos de Asada and Tacos al Pastor were perfect though the meat was a bit dry. The nachos with steak were also very good though I think ours were unfortunately served without jalapeños. We finished up with an amazing piece of tres leches cake. It took a really long time for the food to arrive and the waitress pretended that she hasn't heard me when I asked about the 18% mandatory tip. ( We came as a group of six, I didn't know whether it is common knowledge that the tip should be 18% mandatory. Worst experience at this restaurant last night! Had been super excited to try it and have to admit, was extremely disappointed. Our waitress seemed like she didnt want to be there and had better things to do. Took 45mins to get an order of chips and salsa. Salsa came in a tiny paper container that is meant for condiments. Margaritas were watered down and could not even taste the alcohol! Food arrived after another 35 mins of waiting. Son ordered steak fajita and food came out dry and cold. The iron skillet that it was in wasnt even hot. Tortillas were super greasy. We weren't even done with our meal and our waitress comes by to ask us if we want our bill. We arrived with great expectations as we saw it had been rated as a 4+ star restaurant. However we were very disappointed. We were a party of four and waited for over an hour to be seated. After being seated, another couple told us thst they had been waiting for a long time to place their order. We ordered drinks & after waiting again for a considerable amount of time we finally left. Unfortunately the table next to us did not like their choice of food which really surprised me as we had some of the same dishes and they were amazing. A bit of s disappointing experience. A family owned business that is small and quaint. Daughter was not on top of things regarding service- frequently checking her phone by the bar. Service was slow. The special of the day was put out on the blackboard outside and was not ready for lunch service, neither was the ceviche - both which we ordered that day- disappointing being that especially being a new restaurant they should have everything ready to go to get the business going. Tacos were not all that tasty. More spice and even Mexican cheese would add some "spice" to them. Also more salsa with that tacos would be great. read more

Very disappointing. I had Enchiladas de shrimp for $23 and the shrimp were minuscule and tough like small pebbles and our platter was like warm. On each of our dinners we were served what amounted to a small handful of romaine lettuce and two teaspoons of Spanish rice, both of which are not expensive to purchase and should be given in larger portions. My husband had the Pollo de Molè and for $25 was served a small chicken leg with thigh attached, smothered in mole sauce. The prices are too high for what you receive. Staff were kind and cleaning up to regulations. We had a forty minute wait on a Saturday which wasn't a problem and to be expected. Our margaritas helped make our time here more worth while. Unfortunately we will not try this restaurant again. read more
