Honestly I would have given El Taconazo a 5 star rating, but on my personal opinion I gave it a 3 star. If you are like me and can't handle certain types of meat such as pork, then this is not the best option even though there are vegetarian options I still love my carne asada. I order three tacos of carne asada and as I took the first bite I saw pieces of pork in my taco and it automatically gave me a stomach ache. Great place to grab some carne asada tacos , birria tacos , & quesadillas . This place is kept very clean and has in door and outdoor seating . They even have there own small parking lot , which is very convenient. Bathrooms are spot less and located outside . Staff is very friendly and welcoming right as you walk in . Came out here with some friends and heard this was the best taco joint in TJ. I think it was pretty darn good! The environment was very trendy and clean and modern. The service was good as well. I had two abodoba tacos and two carne asada tacos. They didn't have chips for the quac but they brought out little tostadas so we can eat and it was just as good! People serving just work like machine , just take your order and walk away and when they bring the food you have to ask for condiments as sauce, radish and onion......just to find out it is extra when you would sit in the past it was free!! Stopped into this place after wife and I stocked up in Costco. Saturday afternoon and it was packed. Always a good sign. Ordered a few carne asada taco's and a few adobada's. Best adobada taco's I have ever had. Period. So good that two days later we decided to stop and stock up on Costco stuff to take back home. This place is one of the better taco spots you can find in TJ. It's fairly close to the border (just a short ride away) and they're open 24/7! Service is awesome! The guys taking your order are patient and don't rush you. And the waitresses are always making sure you're doing a-okay and checking to see if you're in need of a refill on more tacos. Each tacos is $20 peso so that's just a bit over a $1 USD with the current exchange rate. My family and I have been coming here for years. This space is very large and service is very quick, but be warned, this place gets VERY busy especially on weekends.
