The tacos are authentic and are served with pickled cabbage that is out of this world.I always get a extra side of the pickled cabbage because it's that good. They come with a green verde salsa that has a little kick not too much. The locations are all simple, clean and colorful locations that are noticeable from the street. The service is fast and friendly always smiling and very helpful. It couldn't get any better. The ambiance is a 5 depending on locations. I've visited three. They offer Jarritos and other glass bottled drinks like coke and sprite for a hefty price. Get your own drinks and enjoy your tacos under an umbrella. read more

I placed a call-In order for 5 regular tacos (3 chicken & 2 pastor). picked up my order by name, confirmed "5 tacos", . I got home and had only 3 steamed pork tacos, not at all what I ordered. I called back and let them know I got the wrong order, asked them to check the counter for my actual order, and sent my husband back to get correct order. and I guess my fault for not double checking the bag.. they refused to give him our order, or the remaining 2 tacos to at least get what we paid for. they had a record of my order and still refused ANYTHING unless we wanted to buy another whole order. Every time I get tacos (Birria with oil) they skip out on the slaw. The last time I went they also forgot all the cheese that I added on some of the tacos so it was just meat and onions and dry. Since I was eating outside I asked them about the cheese and his response was let me see the taco. As if I would lie about cheese being on my taco or not. They ended up remaking them but I am tired of either ordering tacos from here in person or online and the condiments and or slaw are missing. I also do not appreciate being treated like I am trying to get free tacos when I just wanted my cheese. Please make sure your service stays a good as it was when you first opened. This has kept me from going back. I wouldn't post this but this slaw issue has happened multiple times. And yes, I DO understand that it comes with some tacos and not others. If I order the special taco glazed in oil, the slaw is supposed to come with it. If I order regular tacos and special tacos, the special tacos are still supposed to have slaw. Ha! So many food trucks, and so many of them are excellent so when I pass the Tacos-N-Ganas truck on the corner of Central and Cooper every day I knew that we would have to be a regular. And ya gotta love the atmosphere in this well lit, loud music piped in, and ample dining area with covered tables, especially if you are into people watching --those going to Railgarten, Central BBQ, Knifebird wine bar. This place has the location. What this place doesn't have are the usual side dishes. No beans, no rice, no elote corn on the cob, heck- no chips and dip? What they do have is a solid taco assortment and some bottled drinks. The gannas refers to a beef bullion concoction that your supposed to dip your taco in like a french dip sandwich? We didn't care for it as it was over priced and tasted like canned broth... but you decide! I love Mexican food (I lived most of my adult life in Southern California and traveled extensively in Mexico) but have been disappointed with most that I tried in Memphis. These were the best tacos I had since I left Los Angeles, almost 20 years ago. I had given up on finding acceptable Mexican food in Memphis until I came upon taconganas . The shrimp tacos were absolutely delicious, just the right size with the best fresh ingredients. A family member had the cheese quesadilla which I tried and it was super. Can't rate the other food in our party since I don't eat meat but heard nothing but great comments about the chicken and pork tacos and especially the consommé.
