OMG Sooo pleasantly pleased- my tacos and rice & beans were delicious! Everything was fresh, well seasoned and made quickly. Excellent service and value for the price.

I love Taco Pete's tacos and I'm glad they reopened. I made it right before closing and ordered 2 beef tacos and a drink. I like how their soft shell tacos are still slightly fried giving the tortilla slight crisp.

I was really looking forward to trying Taco Pete since it's the one "from California", but I ended up pretty disappointed. As someone who's from Cali, I was not impressed at all. The quality of the tacos just wasn't good. I don't like that they use shredded meat for all of their tacos -- I'm not a fan of shredded or ground meat in tacos, and it makes them feel even less authentic. For a spot claiming California roots, it's definitely not giving real California-style tacos. I'm not sure what the hype is about, but I won't be back. There are plenty of better taco and Mexican spots in the area that feel more authentic and offer way better quality. The service was actually pretty good and the man who was taking orders as very friendly but other than that its mid.

OK this places really does taste like the TP in L.A. They must be affiliated!!

Food: Great Service: Haven't had a issue yet so, good Ambience: Walk up (to go orders only) Food was the same ol school taste as usual but, only issues I had was my beef burrito was only like warm & my fries were not freshly made. With that being said, they were cold! Not good TP...yall know I put on for my state "S. Cali" but you did me wrong today. Yall have done making up to do on my next visit! For Real

This is BS the tacos have shrunk! This was a child's/kids taco it was literally three bites. I am so disappointed!

Brand new renovation. Bigger and better!

I recently went here and was wonderfully surprised at the new renovation to the place! Food was still on point and delicious! Being that they serve Mexican food adjacent to Taco Bell, and typically have a line compared to Taco Bell speaks volumes. My go to is the hard shell beef tacos and their chicken quesadilla!

I come because I see some picture and for the name I was thinking was authentic Mexican food . First the don't have a place to eat the food ,I ask for tacos they horrible looks like dog food instead of stake And I ask no onion they put onion ,they put all in one bag they even put a place or anything it looks horrible I will never come back and the tacos are so little and I order a hamburger I'm a woman and I finish it in 4 bites .

Waited a long time for them to open the location up after the construction and I really hoped the food would be the same.. but sadly it isn't. They gave me the smallest amount of rice I think I have ever seen. I had to go back and ask was that the correct amount. The asst manager fixed it, but she shouldn't have had to do that. It should have been correct from the beginning. My wings were just ok.. maybe they need a little more time getting back into the groove.. and the parking lot is still super congested. I was hoping they were going to make that a little bigger..

Just reopened.. Stopped here for lunch and ordered shrimp quesadilla, cheese quesadillas and 2 beef tacos.. Everything was really good and fresh, and cooked to order.. Friendly staff but needs to work the kinks out of the operation stuff.. Gave me the wrong order and ended up giving me the right order, and came back to give me tacos sauce that was left out the bag.. Pretty good overall experience and definitely will be back again.

Solid. Nothing too crazy but for the price and the quantity, it's not bad. Had the beef taco salad which is basically their nachos with lettuce. It was very filling and my coworkers really enjoyed it too.

I'm from California and was looking for a pastrami sandwich it took me a while but I found it it was good you got a faithful customer

    Did not finish

This was NASTY. WOW.... I'm surprised. Burrito soggy and nasty. Chips were the circle kind you get from the store. Rice tasted like white rice with tomatoes. The guac was good. Salsa tasted store bought. Would never come back and no I did not finish my food.

Here it was all about enjoying nice craft beers, specialty cocktails, local arts, crafts, and live music. It is free to attend. It was held in Grant Park which is a large public greenspace in Atlanta. It's address is 800 Cherokee Ave. It is just south of Oakland Cemetery. As with all public festivals in Atlanta, alternate transportation is recommended because parking is limited. Uber or Lyft are good ideas. So is biking, or walking in on the Beltline. I had a $25 gift card from Yelp which I won on Instagram. I redeemed it at the entrance at information center. Thanks to Jim how helped me at the desk. Thanks to Yelp in giving me an opportunity to explore this beautiful place. If you're craving something fresh, healthy, and delicious, you'll have to try some of their award-winning soba noodles at Island Noodles Atlanta. I love their unique style, taste and presentation. There were food purveyors from across the southeast. They had everything for vegetarians and carnivores alike. There were about 50+ trucks in the park. I would be back again next year.

Thanks, Grant Park Food-o-Rama! Several great things about this event - pre-sale tickets were only $5 (yes, there was a small admin fee), tickets were mobile, so I didn't need to waste paper, the trucks were not cash only - they operated as usually and had credit card capabilities. Also, they were well placed within the park and the lines were not out of control. By my estimation, there were probably about 40 food trucks - with about 7 or so being dessert trucks (who were placed together) and there was such a wide variety of trucks, it was very hard to decide what I wanted to get. From hot dogs, to lobster rolls (two lobster trucks, in fact), to filipino food, to french fries, to crepes, to cheesesteaks, to donuts and everything in between. We were lacking for nothing! There was live music, some vendor booths and plenty of park area to bring a blanket and sit and eat and enjoy the atmosphere. It was 9 hours of food, fun and more food. I cannot wait for this event next year - let's hope the weather is as amazing next hear as it was this year. Thanks, Grant Park Conservancy and Indie South Fair!

This location is in the Summerville area which is heavily changing. There's a new Publix across the street and many new things withing walking distance. They have an outdoor patio behind Pete's Hotdogs but also some cozy inside seating if you like the old hamburger shop with countertop service. Their burgers are worth noting as well as their breakfast sandwiches. They add a bit of their own flare with a pepper jam on their breakfast sandwiches, which if you're into putting jam on your breakfast biscuits, that might interest you a bit. I'm not big into that, and I still enjoy it. The burgers and chicken sandwiches are also using fresh buns with fresh ingredients which you can't really find a lot of places in the city making their own buns. Most will use Martins, which i'm not complaining about those, but to find a fresh made bun hamburger in these times is amazing. The sesame seed bun seems to be made from scratch, and is crusty on the outside and chewy and fluffy on the inside. The pork sausage patty is moist, tasty, and juicy without falling apart, and very well seasoned. The egg was fried to perfection, and although there was a bit of runny yolk, it was not so much that it soaked the bun or made the sandwich needlessly messy. The sweet and tangy Hero Pepper Jelly is the perfect foil to the fried egg, cheese, and sausage, and for lovers of all things sweet and salty (such as myself), it amplifies the flavors of this sandwich to the next level. Finding out they now have a food truck parked at a Shell station on Howell Mill genuinely made my week. The variety here is the real selling point--there's something for everyone, whether you eat meat, skip it, or somewhere in between. My go-to has always been the vegan Philly, and I went straight for it on my first visit back. Beyond meat, loaded with veggies, creamy cheese sauce, soft roll. Just as good as I remembered, maybe better because I missed it. Also, this thing is massive. I got two full meals out of one sandwich, so the value is very much there. The biggest flex? The hours. Late night food options in Atlanta that are actually good are rare. If you're catching a show, getting off a late shift, or just have a craving at an inconvenient hour, this spot has you covered, especially if you're on the westside. As for ambiance: it's a food truck at a Shell station. You walk up, order at the window, pick it up, and eat in your car or keep it moving. No frills, just good food. So glad they're back.
