Not worth the exorbitant price. If you order a steak taco dinner they charge you $1 extra per taco. They don't give you salsa, that's extra. How can you not give salsa with tacos? First time trying Taco Pros and I was pleasantly surprised! My co-worker and I headed there for a quick lunch break and it happened to be Taco Tuesday. Two tacos for $4.99, score! I went with the veggie option and they came out super fast. Albeit on the smaller side, the presentation was most excellent. Rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, and fresh avocado with a drizzle of sour cream (American style). I couldn't wait to dig in, but we had to walk back to the hospital since the inside is not necessarily inviting for people to dine in. Once I tried the tacos with the green sauce/salsa I believe I fell in love more with the salsa than the taco. It was one of the better salsas I've had. The taco was definitely yummy, no complaints there. However, like someone else mentioned there is too much rice! Give more beans and less rice! This is my taco joint. Have been coming here since it was Taco Bros and absolutely love the food and service. The best tacos around. The servers are the sweetest and always take great care of me when I come. The two ladies up front know my order by heart and are the kindest, hard working women I've come across. Ordered two of the taco dinners with 2 horchatas. I chose 3 different meats. The chicken had no flavor but ok. The steak was good. The barbacoa was completely inedible, very soggy in texture and made me gag after the second bite. Who made the green salsa? This green salsa is so angry. It gave my mouth some first degree burns and made me cry but I must love it since I keep coming back. I have tried nearly every taco place in the Chicagoland area and Taco Bros is authentic food. The green enchiladas are too angry for me. I might have to try the red enchiladas next time. I want to love this place bc the ingredients are good and they have the best green salsa in town but my vegetarian burrito consistently has no beans. I've ordered three times, the second even asking for extra beans and there's still none. Then I resorted to paying more for a combo so I could add my own beans and they gave me about 1/3 cup of beans and rice for an extra $5. The pics are of my veggie burrito on two different occasions. It has no beans when beans are the main thing in a veggie burrito. I also paid for extra cheese and there is no extra cheese. There was pretty much NO cheese and almost no sour cream. Expect a sad burrito of just rice. Listen.... I got spoilejd living in Houston for several years, and they don't play about their green sauce. I order from this place because they seem to be the only restaurant with it and that can perfect it... but I'm sick of ordering food that is tough as hell.
