Delicious, authentic Mexican food can be found at Taco Taco on Washington Blvd. in downtown Ogden. Chips and hard taco shells are hand made and are delicious if not a little bit bland. They are made of the same ingredients. Salsa is tasty. The tacos we ordered (Fish, beef and chicken) were all equally good but again a little bit bland. Still good flavor and all the meats were seasoned and cooked well. I have heard great things about their other offerings but have yet to try them. Service wasn't great unfortunately. There was only a single guy working the tables and the register and one guy in the back cooking. There were only 2 tables plus ours and our server was very slow regardless. We asked for water and never got any until we were done with our food. He apologized and brought the water which was nice and appreciated but too late since we were already done with our food. Overall, I'd have to give 4 stars for the food that we have tried thus far, and 3 stars for the service since I understand one guy being there alone (although only 2 tables). Anywho, aside from the service go check this place out for the tacos. We will visit again and sample more of their menu and update!

I have no clue how this has such bad ratings! This was our first time here and I already want to come back tomorrow. I got the pastor tacos and my husband got the enchiladas rojas and we loved both! The green salsa on top of the tacos made it perfection. Chips and salsa were super good too. Our waitress Rosa also gave me a drink to go to which just topped our experience. We will be back VERY soon.

Chile Verde Platter, not worth $9+

Taco Taco has been around a long time. I believe the last time I ate here was about 15 years ago, I wasn't impressed then and I am not impressed now. Customer service was odd, I was told to seat myself as I entered, even though the place was empty it took awhile for the waitress to come by with chips and to take my drink order. Chips seemed homemade but they were really thick and chewy and the fresh salsa had little to no flavor. The menu is large, it took awhile to read through it but I finally ordered the Chile Verde Burrito platter listed on the menu for over $9. The food was delivered in a minute or two. My first thoughts, hmmm that burrito is a bit small and cool it has cotija cheese (too bad it is only a light dusting). I quickly dug into the burrito which was smothered is a thin tomatillo sauce. It was filled with a reasonable portion of shredded pork so I was optimistic. My optimism died quickly, the pork was wet, mushy and had no flavor and it appeared to be wrapped in a store bought tortilla, the tomatillo sauce didn't add much flavor so the burrito was a bust. On to other parts of the platter, the rice was overcooked, mushy and flavorless, the beans were the star of the show, unfortunately the show was a really bad B-Movie. The restaurant is run down and filthy, some may try to call that authentic or rustic but I don't believe those need to be achieved with dust, dirt or grime. Service is awkward and the food is flavorless, undersized and overpriced. If you are looking for good authentic Mexican food, there is a far better option with flavorful food at half the price just two blocks down Washington Blvd.

Best Posole and chicken and cheese quesadillas! Comes with chile caribe, radish, cabbage, lime, and onions, all prepared fresh! Served with tortillas and chips and salsa.

Was looking for a little spot to enjoy our Taco Tuesday. We went on Yelp and decided to give this place a try after reading the updated reviews. We live in Layton and have tried most of the Mexican restaurants that were local to us and wanted something a little more authentic. This place was so enjoyable! We have a daughter under 1 yrs and this place was great for children. They were also very accommodating with recommendations based on our heat preferences. We love spicy! Also, the chips are warm and fresh served along with a very addictive salsa.. We ended up ordering some guacamole and were not disappointed. Our waiter even asked if we wanted some fresh jalapeños added to it to spice things up! He kindly chopped them up and was not bothered by the extra requests. You can tell this restaurant takes pride in their services, they had clean restrooms, and were happy to meet any requests. The food was memorable, warm fresh homemade beans topped with cojita, and meat to meet any mouthwatering craving. Give this place a try, and support local businesses. Prices were great, and the menu had a lot to offer along with homemade soups of the day. We are already looking forward to coming back next week!

We got a "to go" order. Food was pretty good considering travel time in a box and the portions were decent. The green salsa was great.

For a second I wondered if they were closed, but someone eventually came out and seated me. That initial vibe had me a bit concerned, but I stuck it out. I started with the chips, corn, and guacamole, which was decent, nothing mind-blowing but fresh enough and got the job done. The Cadillac Margarita ($20) was a disappointment though. It was basically a glass of ice with way too much lime juice dominating everything; I could barely taste the tequila. The Michelada was better, solid and refreshing, and the service was about the same: friendly and attentive enough once they got going, but nothing standout. But holy smokes, that asada stuffed burrito saved the whole meal. The asada was ridiculously tender, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. Juicy, smoky, melt-in-your-mouth beef wrapped in a solid burrito. That one item alone made me glad I came. Overall, the place has some hits and misses. If the asada is what you're after, it's worth it. Just maybe skip the Cadillac marg and don't expect a lively atmosphere on a slow night. I'd go back for the burrito.

They were awesome. Luke and Brooke were amazing and not flustered by the rush as the drink orders kept coming. We watched them give the same amount of attention to every drink and garnish; each one looked perfect when it left the bar. My wife had a Rosa 75, on the menu, it had a Mexican gin in it that was phenomenal. No big juniper taste, bright tasting and beautiful. She also had a custom creation of Luke's called a "Sassy Marg" that used Ancho Reyes Verde liqueur. It gave the drink just the right amount of spice. I had a classic margarita and then a. Pina Colada that was dangerously tasty. If you ever go here0 make sure to visit Luke and Brooke at the bar. Well worth it!

Decided to give them a call to see if there were any tables, just in case. To my surprise there was! I got so excited. I arrived at my reservation time of 615 and was promptly seated... in a near empty restaurant. Why the need for reservations? Anyway... after placing our quickly order (since we had studied the menu at home)... finally AN HOUR LATER our food arrived. The server apologized and said we got stuck behind a large party. Now, I'm no scientist, but wouldn't you assume if the restaurant required reservations and their system was showing a fully booked house, including a large party, wouldn't you bring on maybe just one more chef? Anyway... the food was great. Service, not so much!

After a quick morning flight to Ogden, UT to visit our besties, we found ourselves hungry and…read morecraving some Mexican. A quick Yelp search lead us to No Manches Way. THE LOCATION: This is where things got a little tricky. Street parking for No Manches Way is basically nonexistent. There is a small lot in the back through a narrow alley alongside the building. THE ATMOSPHERE: Eh... Awkward is a good way to sum it up. There's a tv with a DJ, in what looks like his parents basement, blasting club music. It was much louder than it needed to be for any restraint. Especially during the day. Aside from that, there were some neat murals on the walls and a variety of seating. THE EATS: Having caught wind of the birria craze back in Colorado, I was excited to see that they offered this here! Yay! So I eagerly ordered up a quesa birria (which is essentially a cheese quesadilla with a dipping au jus). My husband chose to nosh on a massive asada burrito, and our friend chose the street tacos. The meals definitely satisfied the craving and filled our tummies. THE DRINKS: Since they're across the street from a church and located in Utah, you will not find beer or liquor here. They do feature Mexican Coca Cola, Parrot juice drinks, among other things. I opted for a Pink Guava juice drink. It definitely paired perfectly with my meal. THE SERVICE: There's no table service here. You place your order at a counter in the back of the restaurant and receive a tray with your food when it's ready. Being the first time I've had birria, I was a little disappointed that how to season the broth was not explained more to me. It came with a plethora of cilantro and onion that I was unsure of how to use. Oh well. No Manches Way was A-OK in my book. I wouldn't be opposed to stopping by again next time we're in town and checking out more of the menu.
