What brought us here was not only their rating on yelp and their reviews but also the fact that they were dog friendly. It was also close by to the bowling alley we were at that day. I've been pretty meh on birria because I've had it at other places before and I've always thought it was fine. Not bad, just not amazing. This place does it so well!! Get the quesabirria you will not regret it! It is super flavorful and crispy! Food can take a while to come out. I think we waited like a good 15 mins+ after we got out quesabirria for our burrito to arrive. We got an al pastor burrito which was solid, but not as amazing as the quesabirria. I really appreciate the variety of sauces, and I believe they put on this one special sauce in a container that is REALLY spicy, but has like that Mexican candy flavor. My friend was able to snag one for us to try, but when I tried to get up to get one for my partner and I, I didn't see any left, so I assume they restock it periodically. Decent amount of parking just for the restaurant.

Decided to drop in and was delighted to know their Taco Tuesday special is $1 street tacos for a select handful of 8 protein fillings and $2 for 6 other choices. Even their regular price is still very reasonable. There was definitely a line around 6pm but it moved quickly. Love that they also have a self service taco condiments bar and area on the side of their truck where you can top your food with the freshly sliced or pickled veggies/chilis and slather on various taco sauces to your heart's content. Especially loved that they use a rotating gyro style meat grill for some of their meats. I also noticed they had another truck/van parked nearby where one of the staff would go to replenish some of their supplies for their taco truck. What an efficient way to keep up with demand by having a mobile/secondary vehicle that you can use for storage of stock to keep up with the high demand. I loved all the street tacos that I tried: carnitas, fried fish filet, al pastor, carne asada. Flavorful and done right! Definitely recommend this spot any day of the week when they're open, but especially for their Taco Tuesday specials.

I used to come here on Taco Tuesdays only because the tacos were $1 and the line at El May is always too long. I chose convenience over taste, but in the end, this place offers neither. On my last visit, I waited about 40 minutes for my tacos. I ordered six and only managed to eat three before realizing I had overpaid and that the $1 tacos weren't worth my time or the effort it took to chew them. I threw the remaining three straight into the trash. I genuinely chose to go hungry rather than finish them. The meat and tortillas were both bad, and the portion sizes were pitiful. I honestly don't recommend this place at all, especially when Tacos El May is literally right next door.

I was already mellow on cloud 9 to be able to handle this penurious character. I told this cheap sk... to keep his sauce and toppings. I can guarantee that neither my family nor my staff team will ever be eating here again, be expecting them to review your business in kind. I cordially told him that I took the right amount of salsa needed for the 4 paid tacos and chips, contained in 1 quarter of a small sandwich bag which he handed me. So later I can evenly distribute this portion into 4 empty sauce cups along with another quarter of a sandwich bag of misc vegies: 1 spoon of diced onions, 3 thin slices of carrots, 2 chilli peppers, and 4 slices of lime, all mixed inside one-fourth of that bag to be splitted among 3 different staff members. Yet this taco tickler kept grinding at my eardrums three times "ONLY WHAT YOU NEED" in front of other customers. As if he assumed that I'm the one eating these tacos, when they're for my 3 employees. Taquería Mexico: The Incredible Shrinking Taco…read more I remember when this place had lines out the door. Cinco de Mayo, I'm craving tacos, I show up expecting chaos. There's 3 people ahead of me. Jackpot, right? Wrong. They move so slow that a line forms behind me anyway. 15 minutes later I finally order: 2 carne asada, 2 al pastor to go, onion + cilantro on the side, salsa included. $2.65 each, FYI. Get home, crack open the foil, and... are these tacos for ants? I'm not crazy, so I did what any rational adult does: pulled out a food scale. Three tacos, weighed the meat. All came in at _under 1 oz_. Normal tacos run 1.5 oz. These are missing a full half-ounce of dignity. I usually need 2-3 bites per taco. These? One bite. I tested it. Slid right in like a communion wafer. Flavor? Aggressively mid. Carne asada tasted like it gave up halfway through cooking. Pastor was just... there. Nothing offensive, nothing memorable. Like a beige PowerPoint slide. Sides? Salsa bar? Pickled onions, grilled jalapeños, radishes? Nah. This place is a desert. You get foil, meat confetti, and the crushing realization that $2.65 bought you disappointment. Now I know why the line died. Taquería Mexico isn't even phoning it in -- they hung up. Orange County really is the undisputed champion of mid tacos. I live 1 mile from the LA County line and I'm forced to cross it like a taco refugee. Sad, because I _want_ to support brick-and-mortar spots. But not when they're actively shrinking my dinner. Giving them 3 stars on Yelp because I was raised right. Real score: 4.8/10. The pics on their site are pure fiction from 2012. Don't believe me? I took a pic of the meat on my scale as evidence. CSI: Taco Division. Do better, Taquería Mexico. This is shameful.

Only thing missing was that most toppings were running out or running low. Most salsa's were tasty but all were spicy. Nowhere to sit, so we sat in our cars to enjoy our snack. Was in next door and had drinks so looking for some solid good late night foods. Went here and was behind 3 people but it move quite quickly. Typical taco food truck menu I would say but they do have 2 separate bars: one for the sauces and the other is for the veggies and they have plenty of it plus it well clean and well stocked up. Service is nice and friendly, not bad for waiting. Ordered a burrito ($11) with 1/2 marinated pork (which is quite good), and 1/2 with tongue (interesting, not bad but I wouldn't do it again for the burrito, for taco - yes) w/o cheese & bean - basically meats w/ rice and everything else. The portion is quite HUGE, 2 people can finish w/ that for sure. Overall, it was very tasty burrito w/ a lot of condiments, she even gave me grilled onions with it l, which are sweet & delish. Glad that I decided to stop by to give it a try. Will definitely come back for more.
