This was my first time eating here. The workers are very friendly and greet you right away. I ordered a quesabirria combo which comes with rice and beans and a huarache. With two sodas the total came out to $40. That was pricey but didn't know why until the food arrived to my table. These plates are huge and will fill you up for the rest of the day. My thoughts on the quesabirrias are mixed with good and bad. They are the softest quesabirria you could get. The meat and tortilla are very soft. However they put too much onion so when you are eating them, all you can savor is the onion and grated cheese sprinkled on to them. I couldn't get the flavor of the birria and if it wasn't for the consomé I wouldn't have been satisfied eating those tacos. The restaurant only has 3 tables because of the size of the place but it's a nice area to eat. I definitely want to come back and try their huarache for myself with some horchata. I recommend you give this place a try for when you're very hungry.

Really nice place to grab some Mexican food and agua frescas! The workers were really nice, great salsa bar! The chipotle sauce was amazing! The red/roja sauce is very mild though. Ordered a carne asada huarache, tacos, and a Al pastor quesadilla (came with beans and rice). Out of the three the quesadilla was my favorite, good flavor, meaty, and delicious with the chipotle sauce. The tacos were just okay, definitely not the best I've had, basic street tacos. I'm mixed on the hurauche, which is like a Mexican flat bread. The carne asada was really dry and the beans were dry as well... after throwing it in the microwave it was delicious!

Huarache with everything 1/2 carne asada and al pastor

The Food was amazing. I got the Huarache with carne asada/al pastor and some sopes with cabeza. Everything was made fresh and with care. The lady up front was so friendly and ended every sentence with "friend". This restaurant is truly a hidden gem.

The portion size here is huge!!! Service was also fantastic, our cashier was so nice. Quaint restaurant but plenty of tables and seating. The salsa bar was also super clean. They have a peanut based salsa which was interesting! California burrito - huge! Enough to feed 2 people. Next time I'm going to request no beans and rice in my California burrito. Typically fries and carne asada is sufficient in a California burrito, adding the rice and beans threw off the taste in my opinion.

First time in, I go to a Tatoo shop on Main Street all the time and all the artists love this place. I finally stopped by and was not disappointed, while the carne asada torta gigante was being made by the most amazing team member she pointed me to the salsa bar. I love salsa, these salsas are awesome and I wish I grabbed more but I digress, torta was great, service was great, and I have to try everything else on the menu now...thank you sincerely!

I first tried this place at my son's open house. It was so good. They told me they have a store front so here I am. I LOVE their salsas. It's one of the best I've ever tried. Red is my favorite. Spicy but still flavorful. We also ordered 4 tacos but my husband and I ate them before I could take pictures. The place smelled good when we walked in and felt authentic. Tacos were $2.75 each. Burrito was $9.95. They had a special going. Buy 4 tacos and get a free drink. We'll definitely be back.

Amazing food & flavor, service was great amazing vibes, definitely will come back. The red sauce had to be my favorite, not to spicy and hit the spot

I'm gonna keep this review simple, because there's just so much I can say about this place. I've been here multiple times, tried different dishes, and it's always been a hit for me. Food tastes fresh and flavorful. Prices are good for the portion size and staff are friendly!! It's a little gem in the corner of a small strip mall.

    1. This is my first time trying huarache, and it was amazing delicious! The red sauce brought the heat, but the horchata brought the comfort! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes! 3. The staff was amazingly friendly to everyone, and they have great interactions with the regulars! Note: The spot has a self-serve salsa bar! Photo: Horchata-Aguas Frescas and Huarache - Carnitas

Updating review again. The Mar y Tierra burrito went up in price again to almost $22. I do think that it is a little outrageous for the price to have increased that much in such a short span of time. Businesses that frequently change their prices are not our favorite because it's annoying to pay more for something that you just paid less for not even that long ago. Dare I say that we're glad the chicken burrito is still $10.

Absolutely delicious. We have seen King Huarache multiple times when we go to Costco across the street and finally had a chance to try them. Staff was very friendly when we first walked in. They have a kiosk so that you can order the food yourself. They have a variety of items on their menu but we really wanted to try one of their machetes or huaraches. We ended up deciding on a machete this time, and all I can say is that we were not disappointed at all. It was quite a bit of food, especially if you're eating alone. The machete comes with a side of rice and your choice of pinto or black beans. We chose the pollo machete and it was delicious. Make sure to grab some of their fresh salsas too. They make all their agua frescas fresh and their licuados as well. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area

Decided to drop in and was delighted to know their Taco Tuesday special is $1 street tacos for a select handful of 8 protein fillings and $2 for 6 other choices. Even their regular price is still very reasonable. There was definitely a line around 6pm but it moved quickly. Love that they also have a self service taco condiments bar and area on the side of their truck where you can top your food with the freshly sliced or pickled veggies/chilis and slather on various taco sauces to your heart's content. Especially loved that they use a rotating gyro style meat grill for some of their meats. I also noticed they had another truck/van parked nearby where one of the staff would go to replenish some of their supplies for their taco truck. What an efficient way to keep up with demand by having a mobile/secondary vehicle that you can use for storage of stock to keep up with the high demand. I loved all the street tacos that I tried: carnitas, fried fish filet, al pastor, carne asada. Flavorful and done right! Definitely recommend this spot any day of the week when they're open, but especially for their Taco Tuesday specials.

We learned that the owners here are the original cooks and siblings of the late owner of the first location, which made the experience feel even more meaningful. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted. Since it was our first visit, we took our time looking over the menu, and the cashier was incredibly patient and never made us feel rushed. We ended up ordering a burrito combo, a chile relleno combo, a hard taco and enchilada combo, two taco combos, and a few horchatas. The portions are definitely generous, and everything we tried was packed with flavor. The restaurant itself is clean, spacious, and has plenty of seating, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. While we were waiting for our food, one of the owners came over and chatted with us about the restaurant's history. He shared that after the original owner passed away, many of the longtime cooks and staff decided to come together and open this new location, continuing the recipes and traditions they had been serving for years. Hearing that story, along with the genuine warmth and hospitality we experienced, made us appreciate the restaurant even more. It's not often that you find great food paired with such sincere customer service. They made us feel like regulars from our very first visit. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, generous portions, and a family-owned business that truly cares about its customers, Los Grandes Originales is definitely worth a visit.
