Have not been here since the new ownership maybe a year ago? They were more fresh-mex before and now they are more taqueria style. I ordered the chicken chimichanga $8.50 and the shrimp taco for $4.50 to go. Was going to get the 3 taco combo but it did not include the shrimp option. He said I could get ala cart and it was on a bigger tortilla. Much to my shock, it is a standard street taco size. It had onions and bell peppers. I liked it but it was horribly greasy. The Chimi was also very greasy but you expect it be somewhat. It was a tad overdone but inside was good. I really liked their red and green sauce that added a lot of flavor. So I ding a star for price... a smidge on the high side and they charge .35 to use a card. And I have never had such greasy mexican food in my life. I went through plenty of napkins!! But flavor was there that my tummy was satisfied and that I would go back again.

Tacos aren't just to be eaten on Tuesdays. You can have Taco Tuesday tacos any day of the week. Taco Tuesday is the name of the eatery in West Sacramento. It located in strip mall next to a gas station off Interstate 80 near the Reed Ave exit. A lot of businesses and not enough parking. So during peak lunch times, finding parking is a challenge. You may have to park along the main Street and hoof it a bit. The eatery is under new ownership. I went for the first time last weekend. I enjoyed the food, service, pricing, and place. As I walked in, a staff person greeted us. I told her it was my first time here. So she advised that we order at the counter and food is brought out. She handed us menus, there are no menu boards. She was great; wonderful smile and attitude. On a crazy hot summer day, the AC was cranking and was a comfortable cool temp inside. They have 4 TVs playing, all on different channels. Nice. When hubs was watching sports, me and another patron was watching Fast n the Furious something. Modern, eclectic interior. The $1.99 special of the day was a potato taco with a crispy fried shell. I've never had a potato taco so I ordered one. Yum! The shell was fried perfectly, no greasy mess. The potatoes were delicious, thick pieces with a creamy melt in your mouth taste. Delicious! Lengua soft street taco $2.79 was good. Plentiful Nice moist chunks. Complimentary chips were not bad. They were served with a red sauce. It was flavorful with a subtle kick. In addition to fountain sodas, they have cold bottled Mexican Cokes in two different sizes. Ya!The Mexican Coke's are made with real cane sugar. No HFCS. They also have bottled beers. If I'm on the area again, it's a solid choice. #tacotuesdayresturantwestsacramento

Taco, taco, tacoooooo, taco, taco, tacoooo!!!! Where taco Tuesday is everyday. Small little shop with a few good size tables to eat here or take it to go. Inside was clean and employee was helpful. Pretty simple menu, we stopped by from shopping in the area and the name sounded good, cause who doesn't love some tacos on Tuesday or everday. They have tacos obviously, burritos and quesadillas, loaded fries and a few specials they put out. We got some tacos asada and pollo. They were decent and come with the usual onions, cilantro and salsa. We got the green salsa on the side and was told the red was hot and the green was mild. That day the green was spicy hot. Tasted great though.

The meat was hard and old and no flavor. Waist of my money ,

I came here from San Jose to do some training at my new job, I guess my standards for good Mexican food are too high (in comparison with the other reviews) The food was HORRIBLE!!!, the tacos the lengua and birria are uneaten, the meat was sticky hard and not eatable at all. I feel a bit nauseated, I hope I don't get sick. And the bill was tricky they add extra dollars (I was not given any advance notice of this extra fee that I had to pay) for crispy and for meat selection.

    Chile Relleno Plate

The Chili Relleno was great. Requested delivery to Hampden Inn. Delivery was outstanding texted me as soon as it arrived. Very fast but no compromise on food quality. Good value. Abundant tortillas. Wish I had ordered a little more food though. Perhaps a taco as well.

Only special they have for taco Tuesday is buying 3 tacos and getting the last free. I usually would think that tacos would be discounted whether it's fish or anything particular. Nice little high chair seating to watch some TV or kick back at a table with several chairs if you come with a larger party. Cashier/server was really nice, but the food wasn't. 5 stars for the plating though. By the looks of it, i was expecting to be satisfied but I left unsatisfied. Like, it looked very appetizing! Had drool coming out of my mouth but the drool went right back in. Fish taco, shrimp, potato, asada, and chorizo. Nothing stood out. I would've enjoyed Taco Bell more. Even their complimentary chips and salsa was a disappointment.

    Tacos!

Came here after work because I was hungry. Ordered at the bar and food came out pretty fast. It was delicious. I will definitely go back for more.

It's the reason my family and I have been coming here for months. Unfortunately, the service has been consistently disappointing. Maybe our most recent visit wasn't the best timing since we arrived about 40 minutes before closing, but this isn't based on a single experience. We've been regular customers for months, and the service has almost always felt unfriendly. During our last visit, I asked for a refill on my horchata, and the reaction made me feel like I was asking for something unreasonable. It was genuinely uncomfortable. Most of the staff don't say "thank you," "you're welcome," or even acknowledge customers with a smile. While not everyone is like this, I'd say the majority of the staff come across as unwelcoming. I hate to even wonder if my family and I are being judged because we dress casually and speak Spanish when we come in. I hope that's not the case, and I may be reading too much into it. Regardless, as loyal, paying customers who genuinely enjoy the food and continue to support this business, we simply hope to be treated with a little more kindness and courtesy. If you're only looking for great food, this is absolutely the place to go. You may even have a different experience depending on how you come across. But if customer service is just as important to you as the food, this is an area where they leave a lot to be desired.

And a beef taco with only cheese. So I got pictures of both, but I did not taste the beef taco. Normally the beef taco comes with cheese and lettuce on top on a hard shell. He wanted only cheese on a soft shell. The Carnitas taco comes with guacamole and pico de gallo. He only wanted meat. I'm a sucker for that little guy so I let him get his order exactly that way. I was surprised by the prices, however especially given that his Carnitas taco was just a tortilla and meat. But to be honest with you, those tacos were jampacked with meat, overflowing even. He was full with just the one Carnitas taco and save the other one for later. I really liked the crispies of the Carnitas. But I. Prefer the meat to be a little bit more flavorful/salty. Perhaps with the guacamole and pico de gallo it would have been balanced perfectly. The meat inside both tacos was cooked fresh and so hot. You could see the steam coming out of the taco. I like that too. I would definitely go back to this location to try out more of their items. We took our stuff to go so I can't comment on eating at this location. I noticed the drive-through had a sign for pre-orders by phone only.

There are plenty of tables and benches for many parties here and a lot of much-needed napkin dispensers. The prices are also very competitive, especially for the quantity. There is also a salsa and chip bar. I do miss an avocado salsa. There is only green and red here. The green was pretty vinegar forward.

Veggie Taco Salad $14.75: Fired flour tortilla, pinto beans, grilled vegetables, avocado, sour cream, roasted corn & greens. It was very tasty. We loved the grilled vegetables. They were fresh and hot in the bottom of the taco salad on top of the pinto beans. The sour cream was drizzled on top of the avocados. Under that was a little bit of lettuce. There could have been a lot more lettuce. I would order it again. Mulita $7.55 regular price. $5 during happy hour, we sadly missed happy hour by minutes: stuffed corn tortilla, choice of meat, melted cheese ,with sour cream and guacamole on the side. I don't recall there being guacamole on the side, I think they put it in it. The Mulita was chuck full of meat, it was overflowing. It was very tasty. Though very messy. It's hard to eat with your hands alone. We cut it up into small pieces and ate it with our hands. We'd order it again. The ambiance was good. People were cheering for the USA. It was a fun environment. Subdued compared to other watch parties we've been too, but it was still nice.

The shredded beef was tender, and it had just the right amount of cheese. It came without the dipping broth, which I had to ask for separately, and she did bring. The broth was perfect for dipping, good enough that I drank the rest of it, and there was even a good amount of meat inside the broth. The nachos were very good sized, and there was a very generous amount of toppings . The Carnitas had a very good flavor, there was a large amount, and none of the toppings overplayed each other. The burrito was also a very generous size, and it had a good flavor and they were generous with the shrimp. The shrimp were delicious, and they were not breaded or fried. Just standard shrimp. I got two meals out of the nachos, and two meals out of the burrito. All of this food, with a soda and a tip, and I was out 40 bucks. When we entered the service was great ,the menu was wide , and the place was clean. Me and my husband ordered the 3 enchiladas plate . He got the red salsa I got the green salsa. We also ordered two margaritas . When we sat down they had my favorite salsa which is a sour cream salsa ! I always look for that when I go to a Mexican restaurant. The salsa bar was amazing and the chips were hot. About 5-10 minutes our margaritas came out and they were HUGE for only $10 ! They tasted amazing ! A few minutes later our food came out and the presentation was good. The green salsa I got on the other hand was very sour compared to others I've tried. My husbands red salsa was amazing though! When I went to take a bite of my enchilada I couldn't help but spit it out because the chicken had absolutely no seasoning and the chicken was almost like brown. I thought if I add my favorite salsa that it would cancel out the flavor but it didn't... I was extremely thrown off because the plate was $22 and we had spent $73 at this place just on two people. So I was very disappointed. The beans and rice were okay and my daughter ate most of it . But as I was eating my chips and salsa I would catch a whiff of the chicken and it's smelled really really bad. It was almost like it was old or something. My husband said his salsa cancelled out the chickens lack of flavor. When I go to a restaurant I expect the chicken or literally any meat on their menu to be seasoned. I should let have to ask if the meat is seasoned it should be mandatory. This is what I see very common in some Mexican restaurants. I would come back not for the entrees but for their drinks as they were big and low price, and also their salsa bar. I'm saddened because it was so close so I had hope.
