I won't be eating at this place again! The food upset my stomach really bad, caused frequent bathroom visit. I was hesitant at first because on google it shows a restaurant. This has been on our short list for their Birriea tacos, for quite some time. We have been on a search for the best Birriea tacos in the FW area. So we ventured out on a weeknight and found them easily. Just off 820 on Hwy 377 in Haltom City. It looks like an old fast food building they converted. We were the second set of customers inside at 7:30 for dinner. The menu is slightly confusing so be sure you ask questions. The girl taking our order at the counter didn't speak English so another employee came over and helped us through our order. We made our order and sat down. Unfortunately had to change tables twice because both tables that appeared clean were dirty. My arms were sticking to the table tops. The third time I sat down at I used a few wet napkins and wiped off some brown stuff. It also "appeared" clean. Moving on we got our order about 15 mins later. We both ordered the quesa Birriea tacos. We shared an order of the ramen noodles. I got a side of the borracha beans. They were ok. Sadly the meat in the tacos just didn't have a lot of flavor. That is the most important part of these tacos. Some seasoning of the brisket would do wonders. The beans were good but also lacked more seasoning. The noodles were good. Piping hot too! Came to get tacos but when attempting to send a zelle it says there was a problem. i was confused but told the young lady i was going to the gas station (i went to the walmart gas station, so close) to get cash and before i went i asked if she could break a $20 and she said yes! i came back and it was a sign saying they were closed 3-4! why did the young lady not say the business was about to close for a hour before i went to get change? wasting my time lol. i called my bank about the zelle and turns out my zelle account isn't the problem, yours is! so y'all might want to call and fix that. yall should also just get a way to where we can just use our card like yall had at denton highway so i could've avoided this whole situation. read more

Good birria tacos (we got with cheese) but the consommé isn't doing much. I would skip the more expensive consume plate and just get the tacos. I also tried the birria ramen but I wouldn't recommend it. Didn't knock my socks off, no. Was it a perfectly fine lunch, sure. Compared to other taco shops with consommé this one needs to work on their depth of flavor but the tacos, cheese and meat are nicely proportioned, cooked, and taste perfectly fine. The interior can accommodate a variety of groups, but I would consider carpooling as there is not much parking. My favorite thing at a restaurant when I walk in, a friendly staff that greets me. This restaurant was very welcoming. The parking: it may be packed on the weekend so be prepared to park on the grass. The decor/ambiance: It's simple with lil taco piñatas haging here and there. The tables are nice and clean, and the mexican music in the background playing was nice to listen to. The food: they only sell beef. There's no other meat options at all. Look no further - the best Birria in DFW! We have had the privilege of trying different Birria spots across Dfw but always gravitate towards taco vida. We have been to taco Vida many times, but I wanted to wait until I had reviewed as I know competition is steep, and new places pop up every quarter. I stopped to pick up some Quesabirria after work on a Friday. I did not go into the restaurant, but it is conveniently located off of Denton Highway and 820 N. It is a small casual place. My order came in good time, but it was definitely freshly made. Though I am a HUGE fan of both authentic Mexican and Tex Mex food, my first time to experience this meal was at a taco stand in Playa del Carmen, just this year, so I am super happy a teacher friend told me about this restaurant. My Quesabirria order came with a flour tortilla quesadilla filled with some crazy flavorful beef and a melty white cheese! I'm not sure how they flavor the meat, but THAT made this meal outstanding to me. It was tender and flavorful. The tortilla was cut into three pieces and was accompanied by a small cup of consommé or red broth. The broth had a NICE spicy flavor! They added chopped cilantro, onions, and a few limes in my take home box, as well as two small containers of hot sauce. The green one was a guac, cream type sauce, and I didn't try the other. I was just SO happy for the new flavors I was experiencing! It was a fair price, but the portions were generous. There was a good amount of beef and cheese for sure. I ordered an extra cup of the broth and shared the meal with my husband. SO satisfying! I will definitely add this to my list of Favs! read more

The place is very clean. They were out of charro beans and a tile when we arrived at 6. We ordered 3 Birria tacos and the Ramen with a boiled egg. Service is timely with each of the tacos made to order. This was my 1st time having proper Birria tacos and my 1st time was very enjoyable. Initially I tried a bite with no embellishment, just the taco. The meat, cheese and tortilla were delicious, but when you add the accoutrements, the flavor is next level. The consume, cilantro, onions and lime combine to give you an almost perfect bite. It was also my 1st time having Birria Ramen. I've had plenty of traditional ramen bowls, but this fusion of Mexican and Asian flavors will make you very happy. Get 2 eggs and enjoy the goodness that this place has created. They don't skimp on the cilantro and onions, and the 2 accompanying sauces are very flavorful, our favorite was the red, not quite as spicy as the green. Make sure to check the hours of operation and get there early so they're not out of anything. I'd suggest ordering ahead for take out or just to save time and eat you call ahead order there. The dessert menu looked very good but we had no room. Hint, take the leftover ramen home and use a package of your noodles at home to have another bowl of the excellent soup. Definitely had a bad experience with this place today. Lacked management as most of the employees were just standing around. Come on Taco Vida you were so good out of the trailer! 1. Most of the tables were dirty with only two customers in the restaurant prior to me arriving. 2.Consome was favor-less and cold. One of the other patrons also received cold consome so it definitely wasn't a one off issue. 3. Birria was also lacking flavor and needed salt. 4. WHAT NO BIG RED! Drinks were very limited and no sweeteners were available for the only tea they offered which was unsweetened. Disappointed! read more
