Our food was AMAZING! Best mex I've had in a long time. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff was so attentive and friendly. We got a lot of different dishes including various tacos, street corns, guacamole, loaded fries, and a special birthday dessert. First time here and it's pretty tasty. I got three different tacos, husband got chicken ramen, and we got Churros for dessert. Super cute modern aesthetic, clean dining room. Music is a bit too loud for my liking, but not unbearably so. You walk up to order off the menu board posted along the right side wall of the restaurant. Good in theory, and keeps with the modern styling of the place. However, as soon as there's anyone in front of you in line, you can't see the whole menu until you get to the front. So unless you've been here before or figured out what you want online in advance, you're still figuring it out by the time it's your turn to order. This slows things down on the front end. Then because I assume everything is made to order, it takes a long time to get your food. Literally took 21 minutes from when order was placed until it came out. And like I said, we didn't have a huge or complicated order. Not to mention there was only one guy who'd ordered before us in the dining room. The food was good overall. The carne asada was my favorite. The birria and street corn tacos were also good but there was a lot going on with them. The ingredients were kind of competing with each other whereas the simplicity of the Carne Asada taco made it delicious and a standout on its own. I love the fact that they make their own tortillas. I always appreciate when it's a freshly made tortilla. My husband said his Ramen was good. The only disappointment was the churros. They weren't good. They looked overly done and they kind of were. The outside was overly done, but the inside was underdone. Plus, they had a greasy taste to them. I love churros so I was super sad these weren't good. We will definitely be back as there are several other things I'd like to try on their menu. Hopefully, they'll figure out a way to speed things up a bit. read more

Had dinner at Tacolicious this weekend, two of us for the first time. According to the two who had been there several times before, the selections keep changing as they fine tune the menu. All four of us enjoyed our selection of tacos and ramen and appetizers. There was a lot of food! The flavor combinations were imaginative and the proteins delicious. I have two suggestions: cut the pork belly app into bite sized pieces before serving and get rid of the hard rind; and wait to heat the tortillas until they're needed otherwise they get hard. It seemed like they were griddled in advance and stacked awaiting need. They were way too hard and crunchy making it hard to eat the taco without everything falling out. Or give people the option of hard or soft tortillas. I look forward to watching this place grow and evolve! Great service and tasty food! Can't wait to go again! Also, make sure the counter staff knows what's in the food they're serving. I wondered if the beans had meat and was told they didn't but there was definitely meat, maybe bacon, in the beans. read more

Excellent food and service tonight at Tacolicious! Tonight was our first time visiting and we were excited by how many vegetarian options they had. We ordered the chips and guacamole which also came with salsa, a vegetarian chorizo burrito, falafel tacos, and a cheese quesadilla. I took my family of 8 adults and 1 baby for brunch. Ambiance was fine and music (80's) was great. Jay was very nice. Service time took long....close to an hour after Jay took our order. Food was warm and presentation was fantastic. The taste was mediocre. This place has potential....just not making the cut right now. read more

Food was pretty good, BUT: It took forever to receive our food though- almost 30 minutes. We asked about margaritas and all they have are the non-alcoholic variety. I feel like that should be better advertised. I didn't realize non-alcoholic options are my ONLY options. When we asked the waitress she was annoyed and said she couldn't serve us alcohol because she is only 17 anyway. My friend that was with me paid with her credit card, (it took forever for them to process our cards), and that same night got a ton of fraudulent charges on the card from local businesses in the same strip of stores this business is in. Another friend tried to pay with a $20 and they said they can't give change on anything. I'm not going back. There are plenty of other great places to eat in our area. read more

sorry, no need to come by. service was lacking... a lot. food was mediocre. the guy play acting as a server just sat behind the counter. i brought my dog and was told that since she doesn't have a service animal vest, she can't come in again. he said something about maryland board of health and i said local and state law is trumped by federal which says the ONLY thing one can ask is what service does the dog help me with and how does my dog help me with that. he wouldn't listen. free refills on soda but he never came back to table. no refills on water either. read more

I had lunch at Tacolicious today for the first time. The restaurant is nice, the décor is pretty, but apparently, they are very understaffed. They have one person in the kitchen and one waitress. The food was appealing looking and the presentation was good. I went, at lunch from work, with a group of seven people and it took forever to get our food. I was there over almost two hours and the others were still at the table eating when I left. I order from their menu: two tacos without meat. They came back and told me their Tofu was not ready (which was to come on the meatless tacos) so I asked to substitute beans instead of the Tofu. They agreed. I said, "I would have all the other things that come on the taco." According to their menu, the tacos were to come with cheese, pico, lettuce, tomato, and onion. I also added guacamole and sour cream. They brought the food and I got only one taco, not two, and the taco crust was not warmed at all. It was straight from the package out of the refrigerator. They had no tomato, lettuce, sour cream, or cheese on the taco. It had some pickled cabbage on it and guacamole, only. The beans were in a separate little bowl. But, when I tasted them, they were so salty you could hardly eat them (please cut back on the salt, many people are on restricted salt diets. Let everyone salt their food.) I had a teaspoon full of pico on the side of the plate. I asked about my other taco and the waitress said, "You wanted two?" She came back out and told me they were super busy and the other taco was not ready. So, I said, "cancel it." I told her I did not get anything to speak of on my taco and asked for the cheese and sour cream I had originally ordered. I waited and 15 minutes later, I still did not have it. I finally was insistent, as I had to go back to work and she brought some out. When we were ready to go I got a bill for $12.95. It included extra lettuce and tomato (which I never got any of) and Falafel at $4.00 which I never had or requested and several other add-ons, I did not request. After I spoke with the waitress, she corrected the bill to $4.50, which she said was the menu price for one taco (the menu says it is $3.50 for one taco) which was still kind of steep for one taco with a cold crust and a little filling. Also, when I went to pay, they could not cash a $20 bill as they had no change and I would have to wait for the manager to return to get change. Luckily, I had some smaller bills. Saying all this, I would consider eating there again. But, they need to fine-tune their operation. By the time I left the restaurant, there were seven additional people in there at three other tables and I felt the waitress and cook were being vastly overworked. My friends were still at the table eating their food, when I left as I had to go back to work. I know they are owned by BJ's Diner which is on the corner there of the shopping center and in addition to tacos they have their big breakfast menu too, which is a lot. I don't see how one person could handle making all that and thus they are messing up. One suggestion: They should consider offering complimentary chips and salsa if they want to compete with other local Mexican Restaurants (El Ranchero, etc. in the area). They don't give you any chips and salsa at all. Which is always a plus with Mexican food. read more

I never review anything, but I had to this time. I went here today for takeout lunch. The lady up front is very kind. That's the only good I can say. I got the 2 taco deal with chips and salsa, I got 2 chorizo tacos. They tasted nothing like chorizo and had not heat at all. The salsa was literally vegetable soup. It had the exact consistency as soup and tasted just like cold vegetable soup, and the chips were absolutely disgusting. But as bad as they were they tasted the best out of the whole meal. Weekends is brunch only, and a vastly different menu. It's good value for your money but I was less than fussed with the options. I came to a taco place hoping for tacos, not a regular breakfast menu. I had the meat lovers tacos and the brisket burrito. The tacos were lacking flavor, unless eggs is the flavor you're looking for. If you just want water to drink, they only offer bottled. Would not recommend for a brunch location. read more
