    Cute table decor

Cute little diner conveniently located off of hiway 81 in Hagerstown. We stopped for an early dinner and was kindly greeted at the door with smiles. The tap beer was cold and refreshing. Fun menu with options for everyone's cuisine desire. The steak panini was wonderful, and the pizza had a great crust and nice flavor with a little kick. Fries came out undercooked but our server Brandon took care of that! We ordered desert to go for our hotel destination treat so cannot comment on it at this posting but it looks divine! Will keep this spot on our list of favorites as we travel through again!

We started with the Bao buns, so good! I had the Korean Pork rice bowl, and he had the short rib burger. You know the food is good when you are moaning and rolling your eyes toward the heavens! Service was outstanding as well! Thanks for a great lunch! I had already dug into the rice bowl so no picture.

This place is a nice dinner establishment in Hagerstown where you'll have solid options from pizza to sandwiches to soups to salads. Food: 4/5 I found that the soup was very tasty and the Ahi Tuna Salad (4.5/5) was cooked perfectly medium rare which was refreshing to see with the watermelon radishes Additionally, the tacos were great (4/5)! I felt that the food here was solid and would definitely come back. Service: 4/5 - Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow. We were seated a bit in the backside of the restaurant but regardless, the service could be improved a bit. Cleanliness: 4/5 - The place is doing everything to be covid-19 safe. Ambiance 4/5 - The ambiance looked quite nice between a date spot and a casual eatery. Cafe Del Sol is a great lunch place! They have excellent Paninis, wraps, sandwiches and salads. You can also get burgers, pizza, pasta etc. Their house made chips are good. I think they would be excellent if they had Old Bay Seasoning on them. Today they had a lunch special of 1/2 a panini, a side or chips and soup for $12.99. It was very filling and good. My son loved the crab soup. The inside is very clean and the service was good.

    Endless pizza menu!

One of the best restaurants in Hagerstown, lunch or dinner. Food is always well portioned, fresh, and delicious. Highlights include the Cabo (flatbread with grilled fish, mango salsa, slaw, and other sauces), the Cuban (although ask for less mayo and more mustard if you want it more traditional), really any pizza or calzone, salads, and soup. Okay so I kind of listed the whole menu but you can't really go wrong. Lunch special is every day and includes a sandwich, soup, and side for $10.99. Last but not least, their tiramisu is my faveee I've had in the US. Must. Try.

Tomato Gouda bisque & bao buns. Chicken quesadilla in the back

Other people in my party got the adobo bbq chicken salad, Baja fish tacos, chicken quesadillas, and chicken Parmesan. Everyone loved their meal. My absolute favorite was the bao buns; I'm definitely coming back for more!! I also got the strawberry tres leches. I wasn't blown away by the tres leches nor the tomato gouda bisque; they were decent, but next time I'll get something else. Tiramisu was divine Service was a bit slow at only one point in the night, but it was while the restaurant got quite busy, so I'm not upset by it. Our waitress was very friendly. Restaurant was very clean.

Ordered a Club panni, which was good. Comes with fries, not good at all. They were burnt, couldn't eat them.

Big Papi's believes in keeping things real and fresh by incorporating high-quality ingredients and bold flavors. The place was very clean and has a tables to dine in as well. I ordered the Barria tacos and they were so good, comparable to food I eat in the DMV area. I loved the red spicy sauce that comes on the side, the tacos were cheesy and the meat was so tender. This Papi's looks good, but tastes only "ok"…read more We were tired on a Sunday early-evening, (Jun 2026), and the staff of the Big Papi's location in Hagerstown seemed unmotivated, maybe worn out from towards the end of their day. We got a birria taco, a rockfish taco, a vegetarian burrito, and a guacamole. The fresh-made guac was quite good! Creamy, fresh, and generous. The Birria taco was good. Flavorful and tender and generous. But inexplicably they did not include a side of consommé sauce for dipping. Lots-of-sauce is a key part of a messy juicy birria taco. That would have just been a disappointment. But the fried rockfish taco, meh. It tasted fresh, but it tasted like something had burned in the oil. The fish seemed too chewy, overdone. The coating was overly-hard. The bean and rice burrito was also meh. The dull rice seemed too chewy, either overdone or cooked until it was too dry. And there were only a small amount of black beans, and no added veggies, so there was little flavor. Overall, we were disappointed in the Big Papi's location in Hagerstown. For over $35, we only liked $8 of the food. What was good, was very good. Maybe they were just having a bad evening. We might try Big Papi's again, but probably not this location.

The host mentioned they also have a Spanish nightclub downstairs on nights and weekends, which adds to the cool vibe of the place. We ended the meal with dessert. I ordered the flan, which I didn't care for--it was too firm and just not my taste. (I make flan at home, and mine's better!) But the other dessert we tried, pictured, was absolutely incredible. I'll definitely be back for the pupusas and the atmosphere--just skipping the flan next time.

Music is a bit too loud for my liking, but not unbearably so. You walk up to order off the menu board posted along the right side wall of the restaurant. Good in theory, and keeps with the modern styling of the place. However, as soon as there's anyone in front of you in line, you can't see the whole menu until you get to the front. So unless you've been here before or figured out what you want online in advance, you're still figuring it out by the time it's your turn to order. This slows things down on the front end. Then because I assume everything is made to order, it takes a long time to get your food. Literally took 21 minutes from when order was placed until it came out. And like I said, we didn't have a huge or complicated order. Not to mention there was only one guy who'd ordered before us in the dining room. The food was good overall. The carne asada was my favorite. The birria and street corn tacos were also good but there was a lot going on with them. The ingredients were kind of competing with each other whereas the simplicity of the Carne Asada taco made it delicious and a standout on its own. I love the fact that they make their own tortillas. I always appreciate when it's a freshly made tortilla. My husband said his Ramen was good. The only disappointment was the churros. They weren't good. They looked overly done and they kind of were. The outside was overly done, but the inside was underdone. Plus, they had a greasy taste to them. I love churros so I was super sad these weren't good. We will definitely be back as there are several other things I'd like to try on their menu. Hopefully, they'll figure out a way to speed things up a bit.
