My daughter and I decided to eat Tacos 4 Life because we had not eaten here in a while. She got the chicken quesadilla as she always does. Her quesadilla was good and fresh. I tried the loaded fries and my go to steak taco. I ate my food, but I was not pleased. My food was not as good and fresh as it usually would be. Overall, tonight was just ok. Saw the photos on Yelp of great-looking corn tacos and just assumed that's what I'd get-- nope, unless you specifically request corn you'll get deep-fried flour shells. Was confused (and disappointed) but just ate the contents (not bad). Asked about it after and discovered they offer several different tortilla options, they just don't ask you. Huh? I ordered the half size chicken nachos. We had to pay in cash because their system was down. Luckily I had some cash. Now I know it was an omen. It was a mess. I had 2 strips of chicken the size of a child's pinky and 1 was burnt. The chips were soggy not crispy at all. I couldn't recognize the rest! I got sick from it. This place is disgusting! I had the 2 Tacos and a side combo. The Blackened Mahi Mahi taco and the grilled shrimp taco with the queso rice as a side. I will say that after our first visit here being a disaster, the next 3 trips have been amazing. Today's blackened Mahi Mahi Taco is by far my most favorite taco ever. The grilled shrimp taco was nothing special but still very delicious. The queso rice, which I expected to be very generic, was in fact very delicious and not overpowering. Hands down a 2 thumbs up trip. Next time I'll get 2 of the blackened Mahi Mahi tacos. read more

First time visiting a Tacos 4 Life. My wife and I were spending the day together and stopped by. Both of us had the Hawaiian Shrimp tacos. I had the Guacamole dip and she chose the cheese dip. My shrimp were grilled as they were supposed to be and I had them just like the menu showed with everything. Absolutely delicious. I was amazed as coming in I was skeptical but they won me over. My wife ordered hers with fried shrimp unfortunately they were not they were grilled. No biggy but did cost you a star. The server was fast and very friendly . They had this quick drive thru window that made it real appealing to stop by especially when you're on a road trip. Chicken tortilla soup: what made this place great was the convenience and packaging for to-go customers. They separated the tortilla so it wasn't soggy. Once you got a bite of this soup, this umami flavor envelops your mouth. Grilled shredded chicken in every bite and makes you feel real cozy inside. Corn: this was my fave! Seasoned to perfection. Creamy and cheesy. Honey lime juice: perfectly tart, sweet but also bitter. Refreshing for a nice hot day. Korean bowl: I liked this bowl due to the portion however I wish they did better on packaging this for the to-go peeps. Like the soup, it would have been better if the sauces were separated so I could control the amount I got. Now you should know that I'm a sauce fiend, I mean sauce everywhere on all my meals but this was a lot even for me. I would've loved to have been able to pick the amount for this one. read more

Came across this place while scrolling thru Yelp. It caught my attention because it has a drive thru and the reviews were good. I can tell you the reviews are right. This place has a variety of tacos to choose from. The tacos are loaded with topping so no skimping. I got the chicken bacon ranch and it was meh, It just wasn't all that to me. My favorite was the Hawaiian shrimp and the steak fajita both were extremely good. I got a side of Mexican corn and it was different than what I'm used to. In their Mexican corn they used creamed style instead of whole. Now I not complaining it was different but good. Also, I like how they package my taco, each one individual package so I'm just tasting that particular taco and not the other way around.I definitely want to return to try some of their other tacos. read more

My experience was not very good. It took 20 minutes to make a fried chicken taco. Everyone got their order way before I did and I felt like mine was forgotten. I've had this happen to me twice, and I don't know why it took that long to make a taco. I would not recommend this place. The employees looked severely understaffed and they weren't moving fast at all. I wish I could have my $10.96 dollars back for how bad this was. It felt like I wasted my money. read more

We love Tacos 4 Life, but this location has become terrible. The past few times we have gone they have messed up our order and then acted like there was nothing they could do to fix it. The past two times they have completely forgotten one entree and it has come out after the rest or our group has finished eating. They close at 9:00 on a Friday night but were cleaning the dining room at 8:20 and we got the impression we couldn't get out fast enough. This is a hidden gem in Jackson, TN! I'm traveling for work and stopped in for a quick lunch. Right off the interstate but a little confusing to get to. It's amidst all the car dealerships! I ordered the lunch combo which included two tacos and one side. I got the Mahi Mahi taco, the chicken taco, and the cheesy rice side. The food came out fast and hot and as soon as I bit into my mahi mahi taco I "mmm'd" with delight. The aioli is what makes that taco and it is so so good. The cheesy rice was also an A+ for me. I could have eaten two servings if I pushed myself. The chicken taco was crunchy and creamy but not nearly as tasty as my seafood taco. I wish my stomach could fit seconds because I would go up and order again! The atmosphere is also very fun, casual. The chairs are mix matched and the walls are bright colors. There was a few people in line and he would take one order, cough in his elbow over food and take peoples food out. Repeat.... GROSS!!! No hand washing after collecting money or coughing. I recently visited Tacos 4 Life while driving through Jackson on the way home. The restaurant looked so adorable from the interstate, so I knew I had to try it. Even though it is a fast-casual concept, I loved that they had a drive-thru for a convenient but fresh dining option. I noticed the extensive variety of tacos on the menu and decided to get the combo to try a few. Unfortunately they were out of carnitas, so I had to change my order. I tried the grilled chicken taco (house-made queso, lettuce, sour cream, pico de gallo on puffy flour tortilla) and a korean bbq steak taco (Korean bbq sauce, cabbage, wonton strips, yum-yum sauce on our soft flour tortilla). The combo comes with your choice of house salad, mexican creamed corn, refried beans or cilantro pesto rice. I appreciated the option to have a salad as a side, but I wish chips and salsa was an option as well. I ended up adding a personal-sized chips and salsa, but this made my meal a little pricey for such a casual concept. I wanted queso as well, but I did not want to keep increasing the price. I was seated and my tacos came out within about ten minutes. I was impressed by the size of the tacos - they were loaded with toppings! I enjoyed my side salad in its cute mixing bowl with southwest ranch. Both of the tacos were also great. I really cannot complain about a chicken taco topped with queso, and this was no exception! If I visit again, I'm definitely ordering a side of queso! I loved the concept and delivery of the korean bbq steak taco. Normally I am weary to order steak tacos since they often come out tough and chewy, but this taco was tender and easy to eat. I loved the teriyaki glaze on the steak, the flavorful yum yum sauce, and crunch from the wonton strips. The chips and salsa was also yummy and the perfect amount of spice. Ordered the Korean Taco and Mango Habanero Chicken Taco with the Mexican Corn. Everything was really good and this is a small chain so it was above average for fast food for sure. On top of everything this place has a mission to feed children. How can you go wrong? Order a meal and feed 2 hungry kids. Very disappointed to see bad reviews that do not pertain to the food or customer service. I'd reccomend that everyone try this place. Just happened to see this place off I40 when we were thinking about lunch, so we stopped. Probably some of the best tacos I've ever eaten! We had mango habanero chicken and carnitas - terrific.
