Was happy to have found this restaurant on yelp. I was in the mood for some street tacos, and these really hot the spot! They have 2 sauces, a green and a red. The green has excellent flavor with a hint of heat. The red sauce had a weird taste, but was quickly overwhelmed by the heat. I put a dash of the red for its heat, and a splash of green for the extra flavor. It was an excellent mixture. Beans and rice were both nice as well. I saw something on here about the cup of corn, so had to test it out. It was quite tasty as well! I will say, if you are trying to be calorie conscious, you may want to stick to the whole cob! I switched to a fork in order to keep the flavors but drain away some of the extra butter and other liquid. Staff was very friendly and courteous. By far my favorite Mexican go-to restaurant. I've tried many places and i always come back to this one cause it's that amazing!

Definitely not the best tacos in the area!! My boyfriend and I gave this place a second chance to see if the tacos were really worth it, but they disappointed us once again. The tacos could use more seasoning, the meat portion was really small on each taco compare to other taco shops we have tried. The pollo tacos were a huge disappointment because the chicken wasn't even grilled, it was just boiled chicken (really?!?) also, there were small pieces of bones in it, big no no! We don't see ourselves returning to this place in the future. People work there were nice so I give one more star. read more

I've been to two of their locations, one in Cedar Hill and in Grand Prairie. Both are good but the one in Cedar Hill is larger and they sometimes have a DJ and Karaoke. In Cedar Hill you have servers to take your orders and the service is good at that site. In Grand Prairie I had to go up to the register to place my order. Both places have good food read more

This is the old Cesar's tacos. The ppl there are friendly and the tacos are good and cheap, especially if you're in the mood for a quick lunch. It's always busy when I come and everyone is super nice! It's one of those hole in the wall places that wouldn't normally stand out to me normally but I came in because I've heard my friends raving about it. Not a fan. I did a Togo order and ordered a quesadilla. I went in to the restaurant to see they sell "quezadilla" or something like that and it was NOT what I wanted or thought I was ordering. Maybe it was my fault for not looking at the menu but they literally dont have an option for a traditional quesadilla. And it didn't even taste good. read more

Hard to go wrong here, but we are only judging by the tacos and have only been once (we plan to return to try other items). The crunchy taco shells were quite fresh, perhaps even fried as I ordered. Some of the meats we tried were dry, but all were flavorful. We'll be back! read more

Now I will just have to make a pit stop at the grocery store so I can have a never ending supply of Valentina or Mexican hot sauce to keep at home. Elote = yumminess. I really like their tacos, but the elotes could be a little better. Not sure why you get a discount for purchasing only the steak or chicken tacos, but as of so far the steak tacos are great with the hot sauce. I also love that they do not charge extra for their flour tortillas! Their corn in a cup (elotes) has a weird cheese that is added into it, so I always order it without the cheese. Normally I see Parmesian cheese used with it, so if I order to go, I just bring it home and add my own and it's delicious! The only other downside of it is also the hot sauce that comes with it...most taco or elotes places makes their own authentic hot sauce and I love it. But this one comes pre-made in a bottle...almost like Tabasco sauce, which I'm not super fond of. read more

Updating my previous review. Still currently the BEST street tacos I've had in Texas. The chicken was really juicy and the tortillas were crisp to my liking. The rice and beans, since continuously coming, are very savory. I think my first visit wasn't the best impression and since I haven't seen any flies in the vicinity (there was the first time I came). Well I gave 2 stars because it wasn't gross, but there's absolutely no use of spices. I got chicken tamales and the masa is white, no use of any type of chili powder, garlic or even salt-completely bland. At least it wasn't greasy. Chicken is white meat, but again-bland! My bf got a gordita and tacos-greasy and bland. I have yet to find any tasty tamales in the DFW area since moving from west Texas 6 years ago :( read more

The food is good from my experience. However as a dine-in restaurant, it could definitely use a renovation. While this is a small dive restaurant inside of a gas station, the dining area and booths are tattered and torn (very uncomfortable). But they do have a drive through and all the food I've ordered from there tastes great! I couldn't decide between 4 or 5 stars, but to help a local family business I gave it 5 stars for the food, which is VERY good and authentic. Please see what can be done about updating the dining area. I don't particularly like having to get posole or enchiladas "to-go". read more

Pretty authentic if you ask me, I go there mostly for the tripas fried extra crispy. Only thing is that they don't have fountain drinks but only sell bottle sodas or waters (or store made horchatas in a cup). My brother in law loves the chimichangas there. He said the Al Pastor chimichangas are really good. My kids loved the Mexican rice's they served there. Very good price also. Taco Bell served a small tiny bowl of rice for like $1 something. The food taste great at Taco Azteca for the price. I feel that in the area, it is easily the best tasting tacos I have had. There was a time when Taco Azteca was my go to restaurant in the area because of the taste and the price. So why the 1 star? Well, a couple weeks ago, I decided to eat here after classes. Afterwards, I ended up with food poisoning for the next 10 days. I have heard in the past that this was an issue but I never experience an issue so I thought nothing of it.
