I really thought this place was very good. We had the chicken tacos and it wasn't smothered in sauce. Perfectly seasoned and accompanied with a light salsa. Counter service was quick. Definitely plan on returning.

Carnitas burrito, chicken chimichanga, chicken fajita tacos ... all delicious! This place is really good and all items we had were fantastic! Rice and beans were good and the guacamole was also great. The pork was something I look forward to getting again , I also loved the fajitas. The only negative, which I would deduct 1/2 star would be that they charge extra for salsa a hot sauce and they don't give you any ,they did give some pico with the chimichanga but it was awful, watery onions and sone tomatoes. Their some hot sauces on the table that is sufficient but it's bottled. Definitely go here ! I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu.

Welcome to another addition of my 15 year old daughter's quest to finding the best Birra Taco If you haven't seen my previous post, I'll explain. She tried Birra Tacos for the 1st time in TX during the summer of 2021 and ever since everywhere we go she trys the local Birra. So far Texas and Carneys Point NJ is her favorite. Today she gave Tacos by the Shore in Rio Grand NJ a try. We called and ordered one order of Birra, one order of of guacamole and chips, and my son who is 11 years old, and eats like an 11 year year old, order steak tacos (11 year old version which is soft taco, steak, sour cream and Mexican cheese) They were polite on the phone and told us order would be ready in 10 minutes. Cool! My daughter said, "how cute" when we parked in front of Tacos by the Shore and ya know what? She was right, it's a cute little place with a surfing taco on the sign. Inside was clean and our order was ready as promised. We received a hello and a thank you from the friendly employee at the register. On our way home the car was filled with a mouth watering smell that made me regret not ordering anything for myself! We got home and my family all tried the chips and guacamole. Everyone agreed the guacamole was very good and the chips were all full size, very little broken crumbs that can't be used to dip. You may think that what my son ordered is impossible to mess up, unfortunately that's not always the case, but today he was happy with his steak soft taco. Being a good dad I had to sample the steak, it was flavorful but on the dry side. I liked that it was cut small because it was easier to keep the meat in the taco. The side off rice was very good better than most places. My daughter enjoyed the Birra Tacos, she would have liked if the outside of the taco had less cheese on it but she was very pleased with the taste overall and the dipping sauce was way better then her last experience while we were in Rhode Island. The sauce was full of chunky onions and her opinion the sauce is very important when it comes to enjoying a Birra Taco. She ranked this Birra Taco as a close 2nd to her favorite. We will be visiting again and trying different menu items I will be sure to post.

A friend and I actually went to a restaurant for a lunch next to Tacos by the Shore but we noticed several people were waiting for the food so we walked over there and so glad we did. The lady behind the counter was so gracious to walk us through the process of ordering. This is a build your own taco place. We ordered three shrimp tacos and they were delicious! My husband and i are visiting from out of town but next time we are here we will be visiting Tacos by the Shore again.

During my trip to Cape May one of my friends suggested we get Tacos nearby. We randomly stumbled upon this place and I am so glad we did. I got the vegetarian tacos with grilled veggies, corn and onions on 3 soft tacos and it didn't not disappoint! It's been so long since I've had an authentic homemade tacos like this! We also dined indoors and luckily it was all empty at the time so we didn't need to sit near anyone. I would highly recommend all to try this place when visiting Cape May!

Cute and tasty taco spot! The guacamole was fresh and had chunks of avocado. I ordered the coconut shrimp taco with beans and rice. My husband ate the beans and rice and said it was good. The coconut shrimp taco was crispy and had a tasty sauce. The meat for the tacos were also moist and flavorful - the onions and cilantro was fresh. I will be back when I'm back by cape may!

I love Tacos by the Shore. I've been coming here every summer since 2018. The food is great, and I try something new every time. Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious. It is very authentic Mexican food, which is rare to find on the East Coast. You won't find better Mexican food. I usually dine inside, and the staff are all very nice. Tacos by the shore is a must when I'm in Cape May! I love it here and I am always excited to come back.

Hubby loved the enchiladas con verde salsa con carne asada. The food tasted authentic and believe me, he's a harsh critic being a native Mexican! Excellent portion size and value for your money!

Top notch Mexican food! We stopped in for lunch and from the moment we walked in I knew it was going to be good. The women working the front were so nice and friendly and helpful with the recommendations. We got gauc which was delicious, chicken, pork, and beef tacos. All we're delicious, I liked the steak and my husband liked the la pastor the best. They have outdoor seating that was very spacious and comfortable. We didn't have to wait long for our food at all. We cannot wait to go back and try out the birra tacos!

It has taken me forever to try this brand-new ice cream parlor, but I FINALLY got to try it out,…read moreand I'm so glad I did. They have a fairly small menu, but honestly, it's perfect. They offer a milkshake version and a sundae version of their three main desserts. You can get simple milkshakes or just scoops of ice cream as well! I got the sundae version of the Salty Sweet, and it cost fifteen dollars. Oh my god, it was completely worth every dollar. The sundae is not just ice cream alone, but a smorgasbord of several different desserts, all fitting into the theme of the sundae. The ice cream was salted caramel and pretzel and was so wonderfully creamy. When you've eaten enough types of ice cream, you can instantly tell the difference between a high-quality ice cream and a low-quality one. This was fairly high quality! Scattered within the sundae were Cracker Jacks, chocolate-covered pretzel nuggets, and pretzel bits. It added a fun bit of texture to the sundae and gave some nice crunch to each bite. There was also a salted caramel chocolate chip cookie, and I really wanted to know where they got them from, because it was delicious. I honestly would buy a baker's dozen of just the cookie! They also put in two slices of baklava cheesecake. I have never had a baklava cheesecake before, but wow, it was so amazing. The baklava parts weren't overly soggy, and the cheesecake had the perfect texture. The cheesecake was still slightly frozen in the center of it, but I personally love to eat frozen cheesecake, so I didn't care. The whole sundae was packaged up securely, so it safely made it home. There was SO MUCH sundae, I couldn't eat it all. I ended up saving half of it and putting it away in the freezer in one of my ceramic storage containers. They seem to be using eco-friendly takeaway containers, so I was a bit concerned that too much moisture would make the container come apart after sitting for a day in the freezer. Even after being frozen and then slightly thawed, it was still just as delicious the next day! My only very minor nitpick is that the interior of the shop was pretty dark. I think it was meant to fit the "Prohibition/1920s bar" vibes. It also was super bright outside, so the transition from very bright outside to fairly dim inside just threw me off. Again, it's extremely minor, and could also just be me being used to overly lit shops. Anyway, the woman working the counter was super sweet! She had a lovely conversation with us the entire time she was making the sundae, and it was a treat to talk with her. I look forward to returning to try all of the other flavors!
