I will preface this by saying that I don't normally order flautas so may not be the best judge. But I really enjoyed them. We came and got food for our family of 6. The Lengua tacos were great . The down side was the onion and cilantro on the side was forgotten. So I sent my Husband back. Then had to send him back a second time for silverware to eat the rice and beans. The rice was good . I moved up here from Pacoima in Los Angeles, a place where the sidewalk in front of Target is lined with taco trucks and the curb in front of the Rite Aid is where you go for the most legit Mexican hot dogs, so it's no insult if I say the flavors at this truck are okay. They really chop up the meat instead of there being fair sized chunks which is what I'm used to. Love that the burrito is a full sized burrito. Not the same fat burritos that you'd get in the Mission District in San Francisco, but you feel like you're getting your money's worth. The great thing about this place though is that there are a few stationary trucks around it and they share bench style picnic tables so there's a nice laid back vibe there if you just want to hang out. Plus if you want a little of this or that, you can grab an arepa, some dolmas, and wash it down with a boba or cider from the other businesses there. read more

Horrendous. Ordered Lengua supreme burrito and carnitas burrito. 2 soda and chips. $45 for two. At a Mexican food cart. Tasteless burritos with wilted lettuce inside. Cheese in the Lengua burrito (why don't they ask or tell you what's inside?) Both burritos dry, could barely stomach them. I've been eating burritos for my entire life at food carts, these were by far the worse. And then, the kicker. Asked for some hot sauce and they want to charge even more. After hammering me for $45, they want to charge for a thimble of hot sauce. Most places give it to you, free, with your order. Surprised they didn't charge for napkins. Overall bad experience, can't recommend. read more

We ordered a California Burrito, 2 lengua tacos, and 3 carne asada tacos. The cali burrito was mostly lettuce with cheese, not crispy fries, meat that wasn't carne asada, and avocado. We didn't realize that lettuce came in cali burritos in Washington. If it wasn't for the lettuce, the burrito would have been tiny. The 2 lengua tacos were FANTASTIC!!! Meat was so tender and juicy! The seasoning was just right! All the tacos were served with red salsa, lime, and carrots. The salsa was also good. The 3 carne asada tacos were not good. The meat was almost like a cross between ground beef and beef stew. The flavor was good, but the texture was all wrong. Also, we tried to order el pastor tacos and they said we couldn't order just the tacos, we had to get the plate. We spent $26 and change plus a tip for 1 burrito and 5 tacos for reference. (The burrito does cost more than a taco given it has a lot more than just a taco). The truck was the busiest one out of all the trucks that park there in a Saturday around noon. We will be going back to try some other things off the menu. read more

Call ahead - closes early! A couple weeks ago we went to the 4th ave location at 6:30, they were posted as open until 8, and they had already gone home. This is the second time I've tried to go there around 6 and they were already closed. I've only had food from this location once, but that was probably because I ordered online and picked it up around 5:15 immediately after work. It tasted great. Parking isn't as bad as it looks. Ordered delivery using ChowNow. Saw the reviews and thought heck I could use a good Carne Asada and Al Pastor Taco. Boy what a waste of $50. So I am from Southern California and I love street tacos and burritos. If you are trying to get an authentic California style taco or burrito, consumer beware, this is not it. I wish I could give 20 negative stars. The food was so stale, old, and hard. My mouth literally rejected me from chewing and swallowing any of the food, I think the fear of getting sick. Here is what we ordered: Carne Asada Tacos, Al Pasta Tacos, Regular Torta with Al Pastor, Regular Burrito with Carne Asada, Mulitas, and Fries. Carne Asada and Al Pastor Meat was soooo tough it almost appeared to have been cooked hours ago and reheated for our order. I was afraid of getting my family and I from getting sick so we didn't eat any of the food. I contacted ChowNow for a refund. But got Doordash and they weren't much help. Eventually called the food truck and spoke to Danny. He said I had to bring the food back in order to get the refund. Guess he didn't trust me when I literally called him after 10 mins of the food being delivered. When I arrived at the food truck Danny tried to blame the DoorDash driver for missing the Coke. Its always the restaurant or business to ensure the order is complete not the driver. I would stay away from this location of Taco California. Not sure of the others. MSG disaster!! Who thinks a fajita burrito would have MSG??? What the heck are they thinking putting that poison in our food? I was sick for 5 days with migraine, intense headache, fatigue, and nausea. Are we living in the 1970's? I tried calling their office numerous times with no success. California Tacos, now with 4 locations! Olympia, Downtown, Lacey, and Tanglewild. How informative their flashy light board thing mounted on the inside of the taco truck is! This one is just like the others: yummy, cheap, fast, and filling. Unlike the others, this is located dangerously close to my house. Dangerous for my waistline that is. It's in the parking lot with the Filling Station Espresso, right by a little spot with the Star Wars mural and a couple tables. For some reason the meat doesn't seem as good at this one compared to the Lacey and Westside ones though. The adobada isn't as spicy, and the chicken is a little overcooked. They are also terrible, terrible people for misleading me with a sign saying they have Aguas Frescas, when really, they carry no Horchata, Tamarindo, or Jamaica. read more

Today I flew in there on my lunch break of a super packed day! I ordered my Burrito and threw a tip in the tip jar and ran out of there. Two hours later I realized that I accidently threw the only $20 bill I had in the tip jar! That $20 was for my daughters school pictures being taken TODAY!!! In utter panic I ran back down there and explained the situation to the man whom at first tried to tell me he only had $1's. With tears in my eyes I asked him to believe me and showed him the Picture order form. With just a little hesitation the man gave me back my $20 and I put in what I originally meant to give him. Edgar and Angel will make some of the most authentic and tasty Mexican food and at a super affordable price. Today was my final day here unfortunately. I have been coming here since it first opened. I ventured off my normal and wanted a Mulita. It comes with Avocado (1.25 if u purchase on the side). I wanted to substitute it for sour cream (.99 on the side). I was shocked that I wasn't allowed to do that. Very unprofessional and was told they couldn't because they don't have a substitution button on their register and they have to track everything. I guess if that's what you call customer service. I would've had to pay extra for it instead of substituting. You guys lost a very loyal customer today. I will be recommend everyone that comes my way to Ramirez. read more

I grew up in San Francisco and frequented ALL of the Mission district's best burrito joints. This truck makes the best burritos outside the birthplace of the modern foil-wrapped burrito. Sure, it lacks the ambience of the Mission's drug dealers, panhandlers, and street walkers, but it more than makes up for this shortcoming by providing delicious bulk value. If La Parrilla Suiza (now Taqueria Cancún) was a perfect 10 and El Faro is an 8, then this taco truck ranks a solid 9. My rating is based solely on the only thing I ever order: a regular carne asada burrito with extra onions. read more
