Wow I was hesitant about trying this place because of the mixed reviews but so glad we did. We got the birria burrito and it was so good! My daughter devoured hers and she's usually really picky about her food. We got 6 birria tacos too they were also really good. But the burrito was definitely the star of the show. It is pretty expensive though, paid a total for $40. Definitely double check your receipts, just like the other review says. They charge you for things you don't ask for. My husband never asked for an extra consome and green sauce, and it was on the receipt. That's the only reason I'm taking out a star. read more

Holy crap! Really bad ass tacos here! That barria burrito is on point! The tortillas seem to be home made and the meat is amazing! The beans and rice are fantastic too! The eice was a tad bit oily for me but not enough to deter you. I also ordered cgicken tacos and the chicken alone had little flavor but in taco form was super good! Love this Taco truck! Super fresh and delicious. They have a Mexican restaurant too if you want to sit and have nice meal, highly recommended!! They have this green jalapeño salsa that I have never seen before anywhere else and it's too die for!! It's a Kinda creamy green sauce that is really spicy and I love it. They don't skimp you on the meat for your tacos like some places do, and they have the best horchata. Their horchata is way better than most places cus it's not all powdery. I am an avid taco truck eater and found myself at Mexican Food El Itacate this afternoon. Eager to find a new taco spot, I am saddened to say that this will not be it. When I arrived, I was greeted by a woman who took my order- a 3 taco combo with carne asada. After paying, I received my food within 2 minutes. I thought this was a little strange, so I opened my container just to make sure everything was right. It was an absolutely gorgeous presentation, of 3 tacos laying on a bed of Mexican rice with a side of beans. The plate was steaming hot, so I knew my food was prepared correctly, just rather quickly. I took a bite and was not impressed. Their carne asada lacked in flavor, while their salsa was pretty mild. The cotija cheese on the beans was a little much for my particular taste. Overall, I ended up eating only one taco and a few bites of rice and put the rest in the fridge for my fiancé's lunch tomorrow. This place wasn't horrible, just average. Service was average, food was average, the experience was just plain average. Would I recommend eating here, not particularly. I don't find myself ever coming back. read more

They charged me for SUPREME burritos I received nothing of that sort. The burrito I got was disgusting very dry and extremely small almost completely bread and rice. I thought it was great! The place was clean and festive. Kind service. I had the house beef burrito that came with a side of soup/dip. So good. The only complaints would be that the burrito did not automatically come with sides of beans and rice and my husband said it was too heavy on the cilantro. Very avid Mexican food connoisseur and the day I went, I was craving a burrito. Not too familiar with the Lacey, WA area and just fueling up at the Costco across the street I saw what appeared to be a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow; a taco truck just as I was desiring a burrito. Growing up in California and half my family living in Mexico, I have been used to some of the best coming from trucks or stands. Unfortunately this was not the case with this truck. The location and ease of in-and-out was favorable. The girl who took my order was nice and she did not expect me to speak and order in Spanish, but I noticed she became much more friendly once I established I am multi-lingual. I ordered the carnitas burrito with avocado, no sour cream. As soon as I was offered sour cream, my faith in it being authentic decreased significantly. I got the burrito fairly quickly with a smile. I at at the provided tables and chairs. It only took two bites to realize that it was "Americanized" and mostly fillers (rice and refried beans) with very little pork and avocado (extra charge). As most people who eat authentic Mexican food, a burrito has just meat inside and can be smothered in red or green sauce with melted cheese on top. I paid over $9 for this burrito so I was going to finish it. That was tough as the pork was bland, the salsa tasted like it was just tomatoes with no spices, and the consistency of the Mexican rice was like slime as if it has been sitting in the pot overnight. There was very little meat too. This truck is on my list of will not return to. The 2-stars was for the friendly service, speed of delivery, and having tables and chairs for eating at the truck (good touch). read more

Our new favourite taco spot in the Olympia area. We had a plate each of carnitas and cochinita tacos and shared a cup of consomé. The tortillas were delicious, perfect texture and taste, warm and a little crispy with no oily flavour. Cochinita came with pickled cebolla and a habanero salsa that I wished would have been a little spicier, and carnitas with a salsa roja, though verde would have made more sense in my eyes. The consomé was delicious, very broth-heavy with not much fat, and a really clean flavour. We'll come back and try the birria next time! read more

I was nicely surprised by how authentic the food was, how fresh the produce seemed and even enjoyed the accompanying salsas...rounding out the food was a wonderful customer service experience that made it worth coming back.
