I love a good falafel - who doesn't? And being a vegetarian, it's very hard to find solid vegetarian food on the road, so I was stoked when I found this spot in Yelp. I'll start with the set up - it's in this cute little area with two other food trucks (which also looked good...but not falafel good) and it was very much food truck clean. Bonus, they even had a bathroom nearby! The folks working there were super nice and cheerful - I love that. But the most important thing - the food. OMG. It was amazing!! Soft, pita wrap (I'm strongly guessing homemade) perfectly crispy veggies, a light delicious sauce and some of the very best falafels I've ever tasted. Ever. Consistently excellent food from an unassuming little truck that you might pass by if you were unaware of the wonders within. The falafel, sabich and shawarma (my favorite) are all incredibly good, and you can't beat the prices. Either of the fry options are good - hand cut or sweet potato - and they are both served with a delicious garlic sauce for dipping. Mmmmm! They do have several vegan & vegetarian options available, as well as list of salads, including tabouleh. And yes, there is baklava for dessert! The outdoor location is shared with a few other food trucks and a coffee shop. It's on a busy corner (4th & Plum) so sometimes the traffic makes it kind of loud. There are tables around so you can sit and eat without having to go back to your car. Staff has always been friendly. My husband and I were looking for food while our car was being worked on in the area so we walked up the street to check out the food trucks. I was told that this place has good Greek food, and they definitely did! My husband saw shawarma on their menu and instantly wanted to order. We both got the shawarma wraps with beef and lamb and a side of fries that we fixed up with feta cheese, sauce, and shawarma beef and lamb meat. The wraps were SO GOOD, better than a regular gyro in my opinion. They really pack it with meat and there's a nice variety of vegetables inside. The garlic oil sauce and seasonings they put in the wrap really made the entire thing come together well. The fries were great too, maybe needed a little bit of salt but the meat, sauce, and cheese made up for it. Driving home from an aborted backpacking trip because of smoke, we looked at Yelp for suggestions in Olympia, and were immediately intrigued when we looked at the options listed on their website menu. The food did not disappoint. The whipped feta was a highlight of several dishes. The restaurant is upscale and we wished we had more than our hiking duds, but Olympia is low key and the servers were very accepting. We just ordered starters and were pleased with our choices. The carrots were a star, the green beans were quite tomato-y, and the cauliflower was crisp and tasty. The chickpea fritters were a little bland, we probably should have put more sauce on them. If you're just looking for tasty on-the-go type food, this location fits that description. I didn't want to sit anywhere because I really just wanted to walk around downtown Olympia. I got the Assyrian version of egg rolls/lumpia, came in a packet of 3. Perfect food choice for a walk. I also got the fried cauliflower, which came with a yummy dipping sauce. That wasn't as easy to eat while walking but they were hot anyway so when I finally stopped to eat them, they were the perfect temperature. Will definitely return. read more

I've loved their food truck for years, and excitedly checked out the restaurant today. It does NOT disappoint. First of all, I absolutely loved the design details from the jump - the old silverware & napkins tied with baker's twine on cute little china plates etc. So much care clearly went into all of it. I also had no idea to expect the existence of a large separate lounge in back w/ full bar. We ordered 3 dips, the wings & the cauliflower and everything was FAN-FREAKIN'-TASTIC. Everything. Amazing food truck serving authentic food in Olympia. I wish I knew about this food truck before. Stopped by around noon to order and they are popular. We ordered their chicken shawarma sandwich, falafel sandwich, fries with garlic sauce, fried cauliflower and everything tasted fresh & great. Food comes out pretty fast and they also have some beverages to select. Their sandwiches are pretty filling even without the sides. The only one feedback - I asked them for hot sauce to be added in my sandwich and it still wasnt spicy at all. Nonetheless, the sandwich was flavorful. Highly recommend this food truck. Fattoush salad par excellence although I will ask for my olive oil on the side...because that's just me. I got chicken shawarma ($7.75) which was different then standard with a hint of curry in the seasoning, swell flavored, juicy chicken slices balanced with pickled vegetables. Fries ($3.99)- steak cut style, with garlic dipping sauce that was bomb!! Service- standard. Fair wait time for food truck food 5-10min. Ambiance- came on a nice sunny day, benches around to sit and enjoy food. I have never been to Olympia but now I have a reason to go! We were famished after a long road trip and found this gem of a food truck to quelch our hunger. Despite standing in the pouring rain for a bit waiting for our sandwiches, every drop was worth the wait. The wraps are absolutely HUGE. My partner is very particular with his swarma and he would return as well. I got the falafel sandwich, the falafel was crispy but not dry, and the only thing I would have changed was to have it a bit more spicy (I asked for extra hot sauce but it still wasn't enough for me). In all honesty I was following google maps to California Taco Truck next door to pick up some lunch on my way into work from Tacoma to Olympia. When after placing my order at California Taco...I walked over and saw Nineveh Assyrian truck, walked over saw the menu and POW right there 3 down on the Menu Swarmma...I Instantly ordered it, regardless of the giant size burrito ordered already at California Taco next door. I had the burrito at work, but couldn't stop thinking of the Swarmma, but at the same time hesitant....what if it was lackluster in flavor, what if it was a disappointment!?! We ventured in on a rainy and blustery day and ordered the baba ghanoush, fries and shawarma salad and it was plenty for two! Since it wasn't super nice out, we stepped inside the cider shop Whitewood Cider in the same lot and enjoyed our food over some crisp cider. Ordering was easy and the employees were very pleasant. I enjoyed my lamb shawarma sandwich (although it tasted very little like lamb) very much. It was tasty. The Fried Cauliflower and the Sweet Potato Fries I think would have been delicious except...I phoned the order in on my way to the truck, drove the five minute drive STRAIGHT there and then STRAIGHT back home - and they were both stone cold! Now, I'm not talking cooled off. They were completely cold like they were fried an hour before. Soooo disappointed with that because I LOVE cauliflower. The real downfall of the meal was the Hummus. It was lacking acidity - it needed more lemon but that might be a personal preference. Unfortunately, the predominant flavor was rotten garlic. It was SO strong. I love the bite and spiciness of fresh garlic but this was just awful (almost rancid) garlic flavor and REALLY strong. That whole thing went in the trash. The Baklawa was good but was very potent on the cinnamon. So - good customer service but lacking a lot on the food quality. Such a disappointment as I had been looking forward to trying them for quite a while. I'm hoping it was an off night because I'd really like to try that cauliflower again sometime. read more
