Their Adobada is done just right and always has a generous chunk of pineapple. All their meats are flavorful and satisfying. They have consistently been on the best in terms of quality for the price. Which is more affordable than a lot of places. The tacos, baby burritos and mulitas are all tasty and the service is fast. I like how you can easily customize your order on the ordering touchscreen.
I devoured this so fast! The flavor from the pineapple was amazing on the signature taco, and the chicken quesadilla had a great char taste, genuinely awesome. It was a bit messy eating it and the bathroom wasn't the cleanest, but it was worth it for yummy Mexican food so close to the lake!
Delicious street tacos and cheese quesadillas. The tortillas are super fresh and the meat is flavorful. Our friend got the tortas and they are huge! I'm definitely trying that next time, but I was very happy with my order
Love this place! It's good for big groups, always clean, quick service and affordable. I've yet to have anything bad from their menu.
When you go in you can either order from the kiosk or to the front desk. I chose to order from the kiosk because it's my first time there and the kiosk has pictures of the tacos. It was fairly straight forward, click what you want, take a number, enter the number into the system, enter your phone number. Go to your seat and display the number so they know who to serve. The only problem is that it didn't have an option to text or print out a receipt which makes it hard to claim meals. Tacos had a good portion of filling. The cactus one (nopal) was unique but didn't have much flavor to it. I really liked the ones with the big pineapple slice on it (taco chukis) The chicken (pollo asado) one was ok too. Love the salsa that they put on. There is free self serve water at the pop machine. And after you're done eating, you have to clean up by yourself - garbage, compost, and plates/cups.
Once again, good ol reliable! Tacos Chukis never disappoints and as a taco enthusiast, I can safely say these are the best in Seattle. Coming from Cali this is a MUST GO every time I'm in town. I stick to the carne asada tacos and carne asada mullitas, straight 10/10! I love that they offer vegetarian options with the nopales and beans as options, my girlfriend loves the nopales mullitas too. Their service is always amazing, super kind and friendly to everyone. For a late night taco hunt, this is your spot! Tacos are fairly priced and flavorful every time. I'll definitely be coming back before my flight back home.
Fantastic unassuming taco spot, great prices, good food, delicious beans, even vegan carus meat alternative option. Horchata was delicious. Quick service although I'm ngl seattles cashless vibe is irritating a little bit. Clean and found parking quickly.
Tacos Chukis is a solid, affordable option for Mexican food. I got the beef quesadilla and the adobada baby burrito. The quesadilla was filling with plenty of meat, and the beef was juicy, although I wish it had been a bit cheesier. The adobada baby burrito was also good, with a generous amount of pork. The entire meal came out to around $12 and was more than enough food, which makes this a great value. The food doesn't take too long, as the staff is pretty efficient. There's a decent amount of seating at the SLU location, and I've always managed to get a table. While it's not mind-blowing, it's consistently good and a reliable spot when you want something filling without spending too much.
I used to love coming here until I realized they hired an absolute asshole of a worker to deal with customers. I ordered a chicken burrito asking for an "asado" burrito and ended up getting a steak burrito ("asada") simple mistake, I clarified I wanted chicken and should've said pollo before asado and that I don't eat steak. I had taken one bite of the burrito and asked if I could get the chicken burrito I ordered. The absolute dick pictured gave me massive attitude, refused to remake it and LIED to the cooks saying I just want a new order and I ordered steak and now wasn't happy. I clarified that's not at all what happened and the cook was kind enough to remake it for me, understanding the mixup. Beware of this minimum wage douche who thinks the food comes out of his own paycheck and will treat you with 0 respect. Thank you for the kind cook for making my right order. And tacos chukis - who you hire matters. This guy is not it.
Came to Tacos Chukis with coworkers for lunch. It was very busy, with a decently long line but moved pretty quickly. I got 4 tacos which was the right amount for me. They were really good. Next time, I may go for the Torta. There isn't much seating, so we kind of had to stand around tables until folks left, but it all ended up working out.
The first thing you notice about this location is how clean it is. What a plus especially when you're not expecting much from a taco venue. You can order it with the self-serve kiosk or there is a cashier if you need assistance. Ordering was super easy. The prices are great. Food comes very quickly. Man are these tacos amazing. They are as amazing as they look. The flavor meat is juicy you get everything you need on these tacos. I'm normally in Asada street taco girl so obviously I got two of those and they were great but what was even better was the pastor with the pineapple. Guacamole has a little kick to it, which is perfectly fine that's why you have the Horchata to cool it down. Their Horchata it was perfect. Great in flavor, creamy, refreshing. I'm coming back as often as I can !
One of my favorite taco shop around Seattle! Lots of flavor, great price, great portion sizes, love everything about this place. Highly recommend, especially if you're not from Seattle, I would come back.
First time visiting on a Friday around 12:30 PM. We ordered ahead because we knew it was likely to be very busy and this stood true. When we arrived, the place was crowded, with most tables full and a long line waiting to order on the screen by the door. We waited off to the size and my predicted pick up time was around 12:35 and the order was ready within 5-10 min around that. The restaurant would be a good place to casually eat, as it is quite lively and popular. I ordered a pollo torta and a cactus taco. The meat/fillings of everything were very good! The chicken especially was flavorful and very generous. I'm not a huge corn tortilla fan but outside of that the taco was solid, and I love that they offer cactus as a veg option. The prices are great, especially for SLU. I'll definitely be back!

During the month I lived in South Lake Union, I'm proud to say I made a weekend trip to Tacos Chukis, and it did not disappoint! As a taco lover, I'm always on the hunt for unique, fun flavors, and this place hit the mark perfectly. It's a classic spot with prices that seem almost too good to be true. The house special taco is so delicious, I could easily eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner without any complaints. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and check this place out! Tacos Chukis has always been a go-to spot for me, and their tacos never disappoint. This time, I stopped by for a quick bite and went for my usual favorites: the Al pastor and carnitas tacos. My favorite was the Al pastor because I love the added touch of the pineapple on top. The carnitas taco is also really good with meat on both tacos being super soft, juicy, and flavorful. Overall, tacos chukis is a super tasty and budget friendly dining spot especially considering it's in the heart of Seattle. read more
A great place from some quick eats when you're not feeling like eating an entire meal. It was pretty empty on a weekend afternoon, thus our service was quick. There are several tables and some countertop tables for seating. Tacos were delicious. The ingredients tasted fresh. The nopales was interesting to try, a bit juicy, crunchy and salty. Great spot to grab flavorful tacos and food after an early event! You can tell they care about flavor here for sure! Order in the iPad when you walk in or see Simone at the counter. Fountain drinks, jarritos, or cerveza! Well seasoned meat and fresh ingredients provide a perfect dance for your taste buds. This location was a tad dirty. If you're looking for great tacos and quesadillas to eat, this is the place to go! I heard good things about this restaurant so I was excited to try it. We got their carne asada tacos, tacos chukis, and carne asada tacos. Their tacos were pretty good. It came with guac sauce which I enjoyed. The amount they give you was good. Each tacos cost $2.95, but their tacos chukis cost $3.35 each. The tacos chukis came with pineapple, but I didn't enjoy how it wasn't cubed up. It was still good though. The quesadilla blew my mind. Very crispy and filling to eat. It was $5.90 each. I feel like eating two of their quesadillas should fill you up. My favorite meat was their carne asada. Full of flavor and delicious. I enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant. It's a place to chill and enjoy your tacos. The place is clean and organized. The service here was good. There's a kiosk to order from, or an employee can order for you. The food didn't take long to make. The pricing of the food is pretty fair, especially compared to other places. Overall, I'd come here again and will get their quesadillas once again. read more

It was good food for what it was. Conveniently location. Affordable prices. Good ingredients. Tastes good as well. Having said that it is not my favorite taco spot. It was good. Will we back? In a pinch it is good. You can order in person at the counter or via a tablet that is located in store. Recommend ordering the guacamole and also the hot sauce on the side. read more

I discovered taco chukis during my sophomore year of college about 2-3 years ago because it is a trendy taco place and I wanted to see what the hype is all about. They have multiple locations but the ones I've been to is Capitol Hill and SLU. I prefer the SLU location because it is super close by the lake and offers lots of street parking. I think the vibes and interior is nicer at this location as well. What I have gotten: - House tacos (comes with pineapple yum) - Carne asada tacos - Carne asada baby burrito - Quesadillas - Adobada pork tacos Not authentic but still tastes good and for around $3 a taco, so I always come back. Pay a lil extra for their spicy salsa because it hits. You won't regret it! 4.7/5 at this location! read more

So Flippin Good! This is the best taco I have had in Seattle, and it is not close. Not only is the food great, but it is also a great price. If I think tacos, this is the first place that comes to mind. Do yourself a favor and go check it out. I got the taco adobada, mulita asada, and the asada quessadilla. All three were phenomenal, and the abodaba taco comes with grilled pineapple, so good. I recommend the tacos and the quesadillas, but you cant go wrong. You walk in, order at the register, and they bring out your food. As you see in my photo, the food is best enjoyed with your beer of choice! The best tacos (5/5 stars) and quesadillas (5/5 stars) available in Seattle! As you might guess, the house taco is the best (5/5 stars) and the carne asada (5/5 stars), adobada (5/5 stars), and pollo asado (5/5 stars) are all great. The nopal taco (3.5/5 stars) and frijoles (4/5 stars) aren't as impressive. The burritos (4/5) are good but the torta (3.5/5) is worth skipping too. Overall, this is THE best taco place in the city and I'd recommend it highly (although perhaps not to vegetarians). Service is fast and the ambiance is concrete floor industrial chick. read more

It's located right across from Tanoor, the Lebanese grill I like. The street parking wasn't too bad on Friday around 4pm. Carne Asada & Pork Tacos - both 2/5. Prickly cactus taco - 1.5/5. The texture is like a kelp. No taste. Ambience - 2/5. It's a fast food joint. Service - 2/5. They are slow. Price - 4/5. It's only $20something for 6 tacos and 1 burrito. It's cheap. Would I come back? No need to unless someone wants to try it badly. For cheap Mexican food, I'd recommend El Rinconsito in Bellevue. I like their fast food Mexican 100 times better. read more
Great spot for tacos and burritos! This is a chain, so they have several locations throughout the city. I came to this one with friends on a Saturday evening, and they were quite busy. You order at the counter, and then they'll give you a number to take to your table. It took 25+ minutes to get our food after we ordered. I got two tacos and one babyBurrito. I've never seen the baby burrito concept, so that was neat (it's just a miniature burrito). I got a mix of beef and pork and really enjoyed the meat. They also had grilled pineapple on the tacos, which was a nice touch. Definitely a sweet kick to the tacos. In addition, it has salsa (not spicy) and guacamole. The prices seem super reasonable ($2.75 for tacos, $4.50 for babyBurritos), but the sizes are really small, so you probably need to order 5 items to feel full. read more

The highlights of my meal were the price ($9.10 for three tacos) and the fast service. I had one asada, one adobada, and one chicken taco. The asada meat was surprisingly tender given its nice crust. The adobada was a bit dry, as was the chicken. Fortunately, the sala and guacamole were tasty and moistened the tacos. The large pineapple chunk in the adobada taco was weird; I would have prefer that it was diced up. The ordering system is great for them; they don't need a front-of-the-house employee. You order off of a kiosk which is pretty straightforward. There is a ding on my rating because the counter I ate at was sticky and didn't seem to get cleaned very often. read more
This is my go-to place when I'm craving tacos! The service is fast and the tacos are consistently good. I always get the signature Tacos Chukis, which has pork and has a piece of grilled pineapple. The pineapple is juicy, sweet, and a great topping. The tacos are always very saucy and flavorful. The baby burrito was alright, but just alright and I probably wouldn't order that again. This place is definitely a popular spot for many, and I definitely recommend ordering online to avoid any wait! read more

Close but no cigar...3.5 stars overall for my experience. The meat was seasoned well...my favorite was to mulita adobada. Appreciated the slight crispiness of the tortilla and the mix of cheese, cilantro, guac, and meat were well balanced. So why was this place not a 4 or 5 star experience?...The horchata was good but tasted a bit watered down. Another issue I had was that some of the meat was not heated thoroughly and was coldish warm. The food is made to order, but the meat is already precooked in metal food bins and reheated on the griddle. If you're looking for a taco fix in the Seattle area, this place will definitely deliver, but it is not on the same level as Guisados in LA. read more

Talk about a legit taco place in Seattle! Coming from LA, we got our fair share of solid taco places. I just wish this place was open a little later. They close at 10 PM but could definitely see them making a killing if they were open just a bit later to accommodate all of the folks getting their drunchies on. I got a mix of tacos and the baby burrito and it was all phenomenal. The tacos each came with two corn tortillas and include guacamole. It's so simple, yet delicious. The adobada (marinated pork) was my favorite. The baby burrito was just the right size to pair with tacos and it's awesome that they use tortilla land tortillas. I also tried the taco chukis which comes with grilled pineapple but I'm not too big a fan. Nonetheless, tacos chukis is a solid spot to grab authentic tacos! read more

Always love Taco Chukis, but wish they had some deal or bundle. There are lots of smaller taco joints that have deals like 5 tacos for $7, etc to keep each taco costing under $1.50 which is amazing. The quantities are about the same too. Anyway, the thing here is that while pricey, the tacos taste amazing and quality is obvious. Even if you're not the biggest fan of pineapple, I highly recommend the house tacos. The grilled pineapple adds a beautiful flavor that pairs beautifully with everything and contrasts the lime in a delicious way. All in all, as much as I want to go all the way to 5 stars, as a college student, the price and value is a factor that I weigh heavily. When considering 2 tacos at a more average place to 1 taco here, it gets challenging to think Taco Chukis exceeds any and all expectations and competitors. read more

**vegetarian review** I have been to all taco chukis locations and generally default to getting the veggie tacos. Regardless to say - they are awesome. But recently I decided to try out other items from the menu - mainly torta. I am never going back to the tacos now. The torta bread is just so soft and perfect. And the stuffing is incredible (similar to tacos). I loved the proportions of the stuffing to the bread. Ah so good. read more

What I ordered: Tacos Chukis: special house taco, adobada pork, grilled pineapple, melted cheese onion, cilantro, salsa and guacamole on a soft corn tortilla. OMG, Bomb dot com. And I know that's corny as hell but wow I was craving this all week after I ate it. Rank this #1 Taco Asada: Steak, onion, cilantro, salsa and guacamole on a soft corn tortilla. This was so good as well. I think if you slap guacamole on anything, it makes it taste way better. Rank this #3 Taco Nopal: Prickly pear cactus leaf, onion, cilantro, salsa and guacamole on a soft corn tortilla. This was so different and slightly tart and I loved it. Cant wait to get this again. Rank this #2 Taco Frijoles: Vegetarian pinto beans, onion, cilantro, salsa and guacamole on a soft corn tortilla. This was good, if I'm not eating meat, this is a good alternative. Rank this #4 Horchata: So good, so flavorful. Now that I can consume cinnamon again without my throat closing up, one of the best horchatas I have had. I wish they had larger cups. We are huge fans of Tacos Chukis. The food is great and it comes out fast served by a super-efficient wait staff. This location is perfect for our needs because it's along Dexter where tons of businesses are located (ours included!); so it's perfect for lunch. Ordering online is great because you can special order things - no guac - add cheese, etc etc. In all of our many orders they have *never* made a mistake. Again, the speed at which the food is prepared is also a real selling point. You can order online from your car outside and by the time you walk in it is ready. [disclaimer: I haven't tried this during a busy lunch or dinner rush, but I'm sure it's still zippy.] We've tried most things: burritos, mulitas, tacos and tortas (big sandwiches!). My favorite thing is the baby burritos because you can wolf them down in the car as you drive home with your to-go order. We don't even say 'Tacos Chukis' any more, we just say 'Chukis Chukis Chukis' and people know what's up. We'll be back again [and again]. read more

Very cute spot, very quick service, and great food! The pineapple pork tacos were everything! The warm grilled pineapple which was perfectly sweet/ripe paired with pork... yum!!! I absolutely loved the guacamole sauce as well. The quesadilla was a warm soft flour tortilla, which was cheesy and full of flavor as well. We will definitely be going back 7/25/23 read more

Overall my experience here was great . Service was fast-ish but the food was freshly made so I'm not too mad . I feel the meat quality was also good and gave the perfect texture to the meal . I believe I got 5 tacos but I'm good at eating the food before I count it SORRRYYYYY lol . Ambiance is a busy ,casual , and overall fun place to eat . Clean , V fast and tasty . I know every restaurant is different when it comes to what they put on the tacos So that's the main reason it got a 3/5 . I personally prefer a guacamole on the side , and I prefer my salsa verde ( not available ) more lemon / citrus / savory rather than the sweet type of situation I was receiving . I really did enjoy my food but I would have love for me to have a different sauce choice : I can't forget the price point ! I was comfortable purchasing a variety of different things because I had a ton of options and reasonable pricing . I absolutely would come back and maybe just bring my own sauce . I think everyone should have a peak in and see how they feel about it because it's the perfect place to like kick - if there is space . And lots to do . Before a game / before an event down the street / meeting up with a friend . All of the things this is the perfect area . Eat some great food and then walk it off . That's all I got !
