Should be rated higher. From presentation to taste, very solid Mexican in downtown WP.

Even though we had already enjoyed dinner, a week in Palm Beach would not be complete without sampling the flan. We sat at the bar and watched the staff carrying Rube Goldberg-esque platters of well appointed tacos, suspended from wires and ready to be plucked and eaten. The richness of the flan was to such a degree we knew the correct venue had been selected. We enjoyed every bite while marveling at the unique bottles of tequila, lined up mysteriously along the mirrored bar. It would have been a superb choice to have enjoyed our entire meal there but, unfortunately, there was only so many days to carefully select venues and sample their wares. If we ever return, Tacos Del Cartel, with their humorous name and very worthy tacos will be visited again. Except this time we will opt for the full fare and not settle for the wonderful, but short, finale of dessert.

Love love love this place. From the birra tacos presentation and the tequila sampler presentation. The drinks are delicious and inventive. The presentation of the special cocktail makes you want to try them all. This place is quite the unique experience and they do a great job making any occasion feel memorable. The staff was inviting and came around often to check on us. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and makes you feel like you're sitting in a park. I will be back and the staff always remembers me and all come over and say hello.

This is $18, just one of these. Am I crazy?

I really wanted to like this place, I will say the look of the place is 5 star and a really cute place to bring a date. However, margaritas way too sour. The food was decent but for the price, not so much. Example: tuna tostada literally is two tablespoons of tuna at best and it's $18 for ONE of those. ONE lol.

I had really high hopes for this place. I will say it's decorated beautifully. The most redeeming part of this dinner with the performance of happy birthday. The birria tacos were good, but 4 of us at the table had the same thing and it was not consistent across the board. We made a reservation about a week ahead of time for 7 people and were crammed into a 6 top. To top it all off, their drinks were incredibly overpriced. Ultimately, this was a flop for us and we will not be back.

The amazing Trompo Al Pastor. Perfect for 2 or 3 people to share.

Delicious and Fun! We had a wonderful lunch here! The atmosphere is so fun in the restaurant. The decorations are big and beautiful, with lots of stuff hanging from the ceiling. Our Waitress, Lily, was WONDERFUL! she helped us navigate the large dinner and brunch menus. The menus are backlit like computer screens and they are so easy to read. The Trompo Al Pastor was spectacular! The pork was perfectly cooked and deliciously seasoned. And the presentation made it a truly memorable experience. I highly recommend Tacos del Cartel!

Tacos Del Cartel has been around only about 5 months, and it is a great addition to Clematis St in downtown West Palm. Went there with the whole fanily and we tried several tacos. First the chips are freshly made and come with three salsas. The spicy one is HOT. Be advised. I loved it. I put the pics up of the tacos we had and they were scrumptios. Really good. Most are $16-$18 per a serving of three, which is not bad for a downtown upscale taco joint. We sat outside and the ambiance both on the sidewalk and indoor is chic/cool. Great bathrooms too btw. The service is super friendly and impeccable. Definitely going back and a must try if you feel like tacos on Clematis.

Looking for something cute a fun to do in west palm beach this is the right place for the cute decor super fun and pink all over! Great for birthday parties or any fun event with friends and family . I had the pleasure of witnessing a birthday celebration and they were all super involved in the singing and serving them . The food was good but the main opportunity was when I order a non alcoholic drink and after 40 mins it still was not delivered to the table unfortunately we had to cancel the " drink order" and when we asked for the check the server said " oh I can put the drink in a to go cup " which it didn't make much sense , so we respectfully declined.

I live nearby and have seen the hype since opening. Huge lines, flashing lights, margarita flights, so I finally decided to give it a try. There were three of us and I made a reservation for 6pm on a Friday night on Open Table. We get there just before our reservation time and a Huge birthday party was being seated. Came to learn we would have to be in a tiny table right next to the large party. Thankfully, the night was breezy and cool and the hostess offered us an outdoor table that was perfect. For the inconvenience they even bought our first round of drinks! Service, especially Eddie, was great! On to the food. Everything was beautifully presented but my mother put it perfectly, salt or any other seasoning, on some dishes, would have taken it further. She said, instead, they douse it with hot sauces that don't elevate the taste, they attack your taste buds. We got the frozen margarita of the day which was strawberry and passion fruit with Tajin on the rim. Best frozen margarita I've ever had! For starters we got the corn croquet and rib eye guacamole, both were good. The guacamole could have used salt. For entrees I got the trompo al pastor, my mom got the fish tacos, and my friend got a sushi roll. Mine had the most flavor of all dishes. A1 on presentation, drinks, ambiance, and service, they just need to make the food more flavorful and not mask flavor with spice. I gave it four stars, I will DEFINITELY return to try more options.

We came here to celebrate my sister's birthday. The place in the inside is beautiful, filled with flowers and art. The service was good. Our server was very patient with us since we went there for our first time. I had the rosanova drink and it was delicious! For apps we share the guac and the queso dip. They were good but nothing outstanding. For main I had the shrimp tacos and they were yummy as well. We ended with the churros for dessert and it was freshly made and delicious.

Tried this restaurant today while visiting West Palm Beach and I'm 100% going back! Laura was our host and server; she made us feel very welcomed. The way she handled herself made me even ask her if she was the owner - GREAT service and beautiful ambiance! The food was also great. We had a Mexican Bowl, Fish Tacos and a truly delicious Tres Leches. Everything was fresh and ssssoooo yummy. I can't wait to go back.

I'm sorry to report that my initial review to this review are not the same. This time around was a true disappointment. We Ordered the tomahawk. When it came out they typically put on a show. This time it wasn't as grand as what I had initially saw during the opening week. We were sitting at the bar as we had no reservation. When they brought everything the fries were cold. I asked the bartender if she could get us fresh ones. As she was coming around to get the fries outta the way I asked about the fire show. She was completely clueless as to what I was referring to. Maybe she's newer to the staff and didn't see the initial presentation. So she had the manager come over to talk to us. In the time he came we realized the corn elote was cold as well as well as the tomahawk. The manager comes over and explains why no more fire presentation due to fire code etc. Ok totally understand that. I proceed to tell him that the steak is Luke warm, fries and corn were cold. He said they could put the steak back on the grill and I said no because it's already over cooked for requesting medium temperature. For the price you pay for a tomahawk at $150+ this should NOT be the way it comes out. The manager was nice enough to give $50 off the bill but to be honest none of it was even worth $100. Not sure if I'll be back. Maybe for happy hour at some point but not for dinner. I understand the rent downtown has to reflect the prices, but at this point from this experience for the most expensive menu item , if it continues to come out this way I'm not going to be the only customer disappointed. Not to mention all the empty dishes sat in front of us at the bar. I had put them all together so that someone working the bar could clear them, but that never happened. I can only hope there is learning from this experience for staff and management. All the staff was nice though.

I was having a great time, enjoying my meal and drinks, when disaster struck right at the end. I had literally just finished eating when a huge roach crawled right by my feet on the couch area. It was massive and absolutely disgusting. I jumped out of my seat so fast, thankfully I was done with my food, or I probably would've lost it completely. I didn't scream (which is a miracle because I definitely would have at home), but it was such a gross turn-off. I get that this is Lake Worth and Florida has its bugs, but come on, a roach that big in a dining establishment? That's not okay. You really need to step up the pest control. Also, the bathrooms could use some serious help. They're outdated and feel neglected, definitely in need of an update or renovation to match the rest of the cool vibe. Overall, the sushi shines, the drinks are spot-on, and the atmosphere is fun... but that roach ruined the ending for me, and the bathrooms don't help. Fix those things, and this place could be amazing. Hoping it was just a one-off bad night!

I'm not here to diminish anyone else's experience, but rather to share my own honestly and constructively. Situations like this should serve as a learning opportunity for upper-level management, especially when the level of service and leadership falls below even basic expectations. We ordered a filet mignon that lacked the tenderness I would expect from a restaurant claiming this caliber of dining. We also ordered the salmon, which unfortunately had that unmistakable metallic, pungent flavor that immediately signals the fish is not fresh and should not be consumed further. We brought the issue to the attention of the manager, who acknowledged it initially but never returned to follow up. To their credit, the salmon was removed from the bill and an alternative dish was offered. However, the overall experience still fell far short of what should be expected at this price point and reputation level. What disappointed me most was not simply the food itself, but the complete lack of genuine hospitality and ownership from management. Strong restaurants understand that service recovery matters just as much as the meal. There's a reason establishments like The Capital Grille or Flagler Steakhouse have earned reputations for professionalism and customer care. Sometimes I genuinely think managers at places like this should spend time training in environments where hospitality is treated as an art form rather than an inconvenience. The following day, I was still disappointed enough to write this review. At a certain point, guests should not have to spend over $200 while simultaneously educating a restaurant on how to deliver proper service and quality control. With an abundance of superior restaurants nearby, this is not a place I would return to, even if offered a complimentary meal. Don't chance it.

Came here with my bf while we were visiting the area. It was a Sunday afternoon and they were BUSY…read more The hostess was no where to be found for a while but finally we were able to put our names down for a table. The wait was pretty long but the bar was first come first serve so we hoped to snag a spot there instead. The restaurant itself is tight. It's long but thin and the waiting area is like nonexistent so you're basically all huddling around people's tables. Luckily we were able to get drinks while we waited and the drinks were delicious. I ordered "The Crush" which had green grapes in it. It was so refreshing and delicious!! It's been a couple of weeks since we went and I'm still thinking about how good that drink was. I forgot what my bf got to drink but he enjoyed it as well. Finally some seats opened up at the bar and we were able to sit there and I'm so glad we did. Our bartender, I believe his name was Sam, was on point. Just exceptional service from him. He was great at his job and we also really enjoyed our conversation with him. To eat we ordered the deviled eggs, the tuna tartare and the Emerald Kale Salad with Rotisserie Chicken. The salad was just so incredible we ordered one to go as well. The food is absolutely worth coming back here for, the tuna tartare was also fantastic. The deviled eggs were okay, but I'm not a good judge for them as I'm not a huge deviled eggs person. Next time we're in the area I need to come back here. So good!!!

Small, limited menu, but all items are properly executed and taste delicious!!…read more Our table ordered a bunch of things and shared them all- the dip duo (jalapeño queso and guacamole with chips), chicken meatballs, crispy chicken sandwich (homemade torta, Swiss, tomato, spicy slaw), the burger (with a side of spicy mayo), deviled eggs, shoestring fries with seasoning, and the prime rib sandwich (with Jack cheese and horseradish). My favorite items were the chicken meatballs (perfect texture, with the right amount of spicy mustard) and the prime rib sandwich (the bread was soft, steak was juicy and tender, horseradish was creamy). ALL of our dishes, however, were soooo good, and I'd order any of them a second time! Small seating area inside (just a few tables and bar seats), and they don't accept reservations, so expect to wait a little bit. The inside is dark, with warm lighting and big leather booths; you don't feel like you're in south Florida anymore, it's a northern cozy vibe. Service was nice, but didn't check in often enough (often times having to flag someone down for utensils, plates, etc). I would definitely return here for dinner!!

It was definitely not packed for a Thursday night on clematis but it's also off season and we were promptly seated when we got there. I made a reservation but you definitely don't need one. Our waitress immediately brought us water and was able to take all of our orders all the food and drinks came out super fast. I did ask for my salad dressing on the side which wasn't done which is why I'm taking off one star but that's ok. It did end up getting a bit loud once we were about to head out around 9PM so we couldn't hear each other but definitely more people started to come in. All in all we all paid about $30 each for this special which is not bad at all since it included a drink and very good portion sizes. That blackened chicken was divine and so flavorful!
