I was in the mood for a quesadilla so I decided to give Tacos Diablo a try. With that known, I ordered a chicken quesadilla and it was fine. To explain, the tortilla was fresh and cooked perfectly. However, the quesadilla was very thin and didn't have much in it. The only thing inside the quesadilla was chicken and cheese which led to it being a bit dry. The quesadilla definitely needed some type of sauce. At least the chicken itself was flavorful and tender. That being said, it was simply an average quesadilla. So heads up for three kids quesadillas a burrito and a set of three tacos and 5 drinks we spent over $100. Was not ready for the kids food which was mentioned was off menue to cost as much as regular adult orders. Honestly a bit absurd. For that cost and what we received we won't be back. The tortillas for my tacos fell apart while eating them the doubling it up isn't holding it together. Decent take out. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and added jack cheese to the included ingredients. He had a chorizo burrito with the hot salsa and enjoyed. We wanted variety and shared an order of three carnitas tacos- that was the hit for me. I liked that the tacos are double soft tortillas which keeps them from falling apart. A side of rice and beans at a very reasonable price but would love to know why the rice is green- maybe cilantro. It was all good. Overall decent at a fair price. read more

The place looks awesome! Though i only ordered online for pickup. The service is fast and person on the counter seems nice. I think this is more mexican fusion. I ordered the tacos special where they give u three kinds of tacos. They taste good but I think I prefer the authentic tacos taste. The elotes i ordered is good too. A cute lil Mexican restaurant with a limited menu that does the trick. They have around 2 locations and a food truck that you can find its locations on their website. Service was good and my only interaction was during ordering. The person who took the order was thorough, he detailed what each dish came with making the experience good. I was initially disappointed with the Elotte, as I thought elottes are grilled, but this tasted more like a boiled corn. If not for the Elotte, I would have given them a 5. We ordered the soft tacos and quesadillas. With habanero, corn and pico de Gallo salsa. I would probably stop by again to try out their churros and flan, with me being stuffed, I had to skip on the desserts. read more

Finally got to try this place after hearing all about it and thankfully, it lived up to the hype! My boyfriend and I visited on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and were greeted right away. I ordered the Bowlrito with chicken and my boyfriend got the three taco platter with carnitas. You can choose from various toppings and make it mid, medium or hot. I chose medium and my boyfriend chose hot. Both were the perfect amount of heat. We also ordered the Elote - Mexican street corn - and their homemade JaJalapeño Lemonade. Everything was incredibly delicious and fresh! The guacamole was by far the best I've had from a fast casual restaurant. The food was so good and the lemonade was delicious. Tried this place on a whim today after doing some shopping in the area. What a good choice it was! I ordered their 3 taco plate. You can either get all one kind and chose your own toppings or order their preset plate in which they chose 3 different tacos. The multi-taco plate is not listed on the menu. I chose the later. It came with pollo verde, carnitas and barbacoa. All were amazingly flavorful! I loved the carnitas with red pickled onions and queso fresco and cilantro. The pollo verde had corn salsa. All were delicious. My only complaint is the soft corn tortillas fell apart from moisture when I got them home. That could be the distance I had to drive with them in a closed container though. The service was friendly and polite. I will definitely visit again! read more

I've been to the Tacos Diablo in Nassau a few times but this was my first time at the Guilderland location. The place is really nice, the wall of Jarritos was cool. We ordered pollo Verde tacos, chef's choice tacos and a quesadilla. We've had the tacos before and they're always great but this is the first time we got a quesadilla. I was really surprised that it came with guac, pico de Gallo, corn salsa, chipotle crema and crema. The staff was friendly and the food came out quickly. read more

Tacos Diablo is amazing!! I can not recommend them enough. Since opening up in Guilderland, I have already ordered take out from them twice. First time I got a "bowlritto" with chicken. It came with a big portion of chicken. The second time I got quesadillas with chicken. The quesadillas came with guacamole, pica de gallo and corn salsa. We needed emergency tacos. Thankfully, though the weather was starting to be messy, Diablo was open and not crowded, so we loaded up a tray and settled in to enjoy. I honestly can't remember everything we tried, but it was 4-6 different things, and we really enjoyed everything except one, and that one thing taught me a lesson: never order street corn unless it's sweet corn season (late summer, maybe early autumn). Before you think these words make my review negative, note that I put 5 stars up there. That's because we both enjoyed everything else. Their veggie option, primarily roasted squash, was well seasoned and tasty, and I was SO happy to see something besides cauliflower. But yeah, the corn thing, I don't really know what I was thinking. This is a cool spot for a hot meal - okay, only hot if you order the food that way. The decor is simple but fun, and the "Wall O'Jarritos" is interesting. The menu is straightforward. The only thing about tacos is that you order 3, and it's either their special combo, or 3 of the same type. But they come out quickly, they're really fresh and tasty, and you can enhance the spiciness with some of the sauces at the tables. I had a vegetarian burrito bowl. They were able to sub guac for the squash which is on my never veggie list. On a warm day they had their garage door open and good music playing- nice vibe! The bowl was fresh and delicious and the perfect size. Guac had big chunks of ripe avocado. Only downside are their hours- tried to eat here many times when they were closed. But, even 80's new wave can't make the tacos hot. The presentation was excellent and the flavor profile was good. The meat was room temp and all the toppings were ice cold. Queso was flavorless. Tortillas weren't even warm. I've had street tacos and burritos, (on the street and brick and mortar), in Mexico, California, Florida, Boston, and New York City, never have they ever been cold. Warm tortillas, hot meat, hot grilled stuff, cool toppings that aren't right out of the low boy. You are able to reheat hot pre cooked items before serving in the moment. The onions were also cold and lacked flavor, which made the whole dish fall flat. The ordering process was simple to order and pick up at the window but sadly the food was a letdown. After reading another review, we visited Tacos Diablo tonight. On the way in, a man recommended we try the Mexican street corn. He was spot on! We each got a bowlrita, with carnitas, avocado salsa, and jack cheese for me, and pollo, pickled veggies, corn salsa, and jack cheese for my companions. The dishes were flavorful and fresh, with a mix of onions and cilantro. We also got chips and guacamole, and the street corn was exceptional. There was a short line, but it moved quickly and we got our food in about 15 minutes. We tried the guava and strawberry jarritos, which were refreshing and not too sweet. We'll definitely be back for the burritos, tacos, and quesadillas. The guacamole was also some of the best I've had! read more

Stopped in for lunch with a friend. A very clean and nicely designed and decorated restaurant. Super friendly staff. The owners are there working and very accommodating to special diet requirements. Gluten free? No problem! We ordered salads. Mine with barbacoa and my friend with carnitas. Of course, we topped them with salsas & cheese. They top the salads with fresh corn tortilla crumbles and give you dressing on the side. The flavors of the meats were indescribably delicious! We also had the fresh tortilla chips and guacamole. First time trying Tacos Diablo in Guilderland. The inside is small, a few tables and high top tables....counter service. Service was good, and informative, helpful. Ordered large chips and salsa...1st issue is you get the same size small bag of chips whether you order a large or a small of salsa, guacamole etc....I asked for another bag since i ordered a large salsa, and they looked at me and said u only get 1 small bag...I responded but I ordered a large etc...so I should get 2 bags...if I ordered a small salsa then I understand getting 1 bag...it was strange to me. Plus it isn't a salsa...it's a Pico-De-Gallo which is not the same...if you know, you know...it was just ok. The chips weren't that great, not fresh, or seasoned properly. Ordered a Chicken Tamale....that was ok, nothing special. Also ordered a Bowlrito (like a burrito bowl)...upcharge for Barbacoa (braised beef)...and upcharge for guacamole in it...added everything that was free in it. That again was just ok...nothing special. Got the med/hot guajillo salsa in it...couldn't tell. Got the supposedly very hot Habanero salsa on the side...it was tasty...but not hot at all.....bottled water to drink. Total $29....yikes...overall ehhh... probably won't be back. read more
