Beef burrito, not very big long or thick compared to chipotle. It came with lime yet the limes were dried up.

I don't do food truck meals, too often, I went off reviews from other websites for the top burritos in my area, and this place popped up. One of my main base lines for Mexican food is a good burrito. Lots of variables what's considered a good burrito This is definitely food truck, connected to another food truck(look at picture). Told him my order over the phone. He took the order in very detailed manner and things they could come with it. My opinion, there weren't many/any beans, very little tomato and small round chunks of meat/chicken(not shredded which I typically get in restaurants). Sadly, the size and quality is definitely less than say a chipotle store. Exterior the truck could certainly use a good cleaning. But it does sit in a parking lot for a tire change place. The staff seemed incredibly nice and even with a cold snowy environment, there's still people there ordering. I'm going to enclose pictures of a chicken burrito without guac and a beef burrito without guac and let you decide.

My order: Spicy Pork Burrito x2 Quesadilla (chicken x3; cheese x1) Shrimp Tacos x3 Chicken Tacos x5 Total bill: less than $60 (damn!) My experience: I loved the pork burrito. It was so goddamn amazing. The chicken quesadilla was also good. My friends had the shrimp tacos and they only had good things to say about it. I didn't enjoy the chicken tacos much so I'm taking a star for it. Overall, the value for the money was 6/5. This is my first time here and I was told this is the highest rated food truck in CT. The person who took our order was kind and patient given the length of the order. Since it was a pick and go only setup, there's not much to say about ambience.

Best tacos in Norwalk and you can't beat the cheap prices. Who can beat $2.50 tacos and $7 burritos? I've been coming here for the past three years, and I've never had a bad meal. It's amazing authentic Mexican food that's full of flavor. They have a lot of options. Their tacos and burritos are my favorites. I suggest calling ahead, as they tend to get very busy.

Authentic fresh tacos. Highly recommended! Not a great setup to actually eat there, especially in winter, but the spices and preparation are top notch. Whenever I go back to Connecticut I stop at El Azteca!

After a very long hike, we found ourself at Tacos El Azteca. This unassuming little taco truck packs a VERY big punch when it comes to flavor. There are 2 tables with benches to sit and eat, but be forewarned this place gets busy! Make sure you ask for the hot sauce! read more

Found this via Yelp reviews. Never had mexican food from a food truck before, and this gives my favorite full-service mexican restaurant back home a complete run for it's money. Amazingly fresh and tasty shrimp tacos. Taco shells were nice and soft, but fresh. The green and red (hotter) sauces were zesty. The best part was the chorizo quesadillas... filling but not too heavy, wonderful combination of flavors. Keep it up, and go eat here! read more

I decided to look up taco trucks and this joint got awesome reviews. I called in my order to pick. It was ready in 10 mins. 2 mins away from my job. Couldn't wait to try it. I got two tacos de chorizo and the Tex mex burger and it was DELICIOUS. The burger is enormous. My coworkers got a burrito and chicken tacos and said it was so good as well. All the food so fresh great spice and flavor to the meats. Red sauce packs a lot of heat green sauce good amount of heat. These sauces included with your order. Always buy extra for leftovers so good. Will take phone orders. Authentic Mexican food truck. High quality. Tends to be super busy at peak times especially in good weather. read more

This place had the best chicken tacos I've ever had. The rice and guacamole that it came with was also spectacular! I tried the tortilla soup and it was loaded with flavor and it was a little on the spicy side but it was amazing! I think I'll get that again when I need to clear my sinuses lol. Mind=blown! I don't know if they do hard tacos, but the soft tacos I had are unforgettable. I ordered a pork taco, spooned a bit of the hot vegetable salsa on it, a dab of hot sauce for good luck, and took a bite. I'm amazed how fresh everything tasted. I ordered the second beef taco as I chewed the first to preserve valuable 'flavor memory'. And the third while chewing the second. The owner,recognizing the glutton I had suddenly become, offered a free fourth with cheese and sour cream. Good, fresh cheese! It was like I had lived a lie eating at Taco Bell. I have to try their burger next time. Looks promising. Best flavors, best meat, fresh veggies. Will definitely go back! read more

Excellent tacos, no matter the toppings, and they're super cheap. I also got a chicken quesadilla which was good as well, a bit oily but that can happen. I want to try a burrito next time, they don't fill it with rice or beans or anything, just meat and a couple veggies, which sounds great. I'm glad I learned about this place, it became a quick favorite. read more

I`ve been stopping at this truck for a little while now...great to see that there are finally some Yelp reviews for them. (remember scratching my head when they had nothing on Yelp after a great meal) Anyhow on that note, a casual, very affordable place to buy a great meal. It is about 5 minutes away from Stew Leonards and also close to Sono. For those who enjoy tacos and can appreciate food trucks, stopping here is a good move. The tacos are soft shell and clearly made fresh and they garnish them with cilantro and a little bit of lime on the side. You can get beef tongue in addition to regular beef, chicken, pork, etc. I have tried nearly all of the options and have always been impressed with the quality. Wish that I lived in Norwalk, so I could stop here more often. read more

This food truck is awesome ... better then any taco / rito joint in the area. Cheap tacos - That are delicious and garnished perfectly Cheap Burritos - Bigger then my torso and delicious. Grilled to perfection and not skimping on the meat. i plan on getting my stomach surgically enlarged and hiring 4-5 contractors to shovel these burritos into my mouth they are so damn delicious. 1st time stopping at this food truck, that's parked right next door to Continental Manor. We were VERY pleased with our meal (beef, chicken & pork tacos plus a chicken burrito). It's incredible how fast the food comes out and how fresh it tastes. Each taco comes with onions & cilantro but you have the option, for only .50¢ extra, to add guacamole/lettuce/tomato/cheese. Here's our thoughts about each dish... Beef Taco - Great seasoning and think adding the other toppings would push this up a notch. The 2nd one I had was almost too salty but it was still delicious. Chicken Taco - Solid taco. Should have added the toppings. Pork Taco - Not memorable but still was good. Probably would stick with the Chicken or Beef or try the Chorizo (they ran out so didn't try) Chicken Burrito - They don't serve rice or beans so none were included in the burrito...this was a good thing! The chicken was fresh and it came with all the toppings stated above. I only had 1 bite and it was delicious. My wife was able to down the whole thing! Great spot to stop by for a very good meal at a ridiculously low price - total meal was $15 and that included a drink. Definitely recommend! I think it deserves a 4.5 at least but don't have that option. Maybe I'll revise to a 5 after 1 more visit. read more

This is the Sugar Hunny Ice Tea. Wow, one of the best loncheras I've ever been to. If you are near or around Norwalk, or heck, just driving up through or off of I-95 you have to make a point to see Juan and the crew at Azteca! The best. If you're still going to Bar Taco and Bodega, simply put, you're a poser. Those places wouldn't know good Mexican if it bit them in the backside. Best Taco = Chicken with cilantro. Everything tastes better with cilantro. Most Popular Taco = Chorizo & Tongue Chorizo & Beef = Wasn't a fan Carnitas = Weren't the dry type that I do and how I like but they were good. A lot people on the East do this juice based carnitas which suck. These are good though. The place is hard to miss. It's on the corner and in a parking lot of a mechanic shop. Off of Route 7 and Route 1 Post Road. Definitely do yourself a favor and get there. read more

Authentic, fast, great! We had a bunch of tacos, the Asada, Al Pastor, Adobado, Pollo and Cabeza. All were very nicely flavored and the salsas were a nice addition. Prices were very good. I love food trucks but the one problem I usually have is that service is slow. There's only so much you can do with a truck. This was not the case here. Very fast, great flavors and textures. Will be back! read more

Strolling up to this food truck was probably the best move I've made all week. 5 of us ordered an assortment of food and everyone had happy tummys. Beef & pork burritos were crowd pleasers. As well as the chorizo tacos. After hearing the guy before me order a tongue taco (in spanish) i decided that may be a good idea. I ordered pork and tongue tacos, both were very flavorful and had a good portion of meat. The service was quick and very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to friends! read more

Been planning to try Azteca Taco truck out for some time. The weather today was great so headed over. Glad I did! Had 3 tacos: Carnitas, Beef and Shrimp. Went there just now - the flavor is amazing - Well seasoned, great portions, fresh , and very friendly service- Fluent in English/Spanish. My food was served quick clean and well made. I will be back- I have to emphasis on the flavor. It's "really" good. I've had Mexican food from many places and this place I highly recommend. I paid 7$ for a large sized burrito. Ended up going after leaving an event on Sunday the shrimp tacos were $2.50 with is weird bc most places charge about 5$. I went and ordered both shrimp and fish tacos though the fish tacos weren't as tasty as the shrimp ones it was pretty good for the most part and so worth the price. We were driving through Norwalk waiting for my son to wake up to go to Stepping Stones, and my husband and I came across this taco truck. Honestly some of the best tacos I've ever had- better than Truck, better than the taco batting cage stand I just went to in Santa Barbara, CA (also highly rated on Yelp)- so, so delicious. Perfect amount of fillings in a deliciously soft taco shell. Yummy guac and sour cream and the spicy red sauce had the perfect amount of heat and taste. I enjoyed the chicken and shrimp tacos today, but I will be back to try other menu options soon. What a find!!! read more

It's also surprisingly vegetarian- and vegan-friendly, they offer vegan meats so you can swap them into a lot of the classic dishes, which is rare for a taqueria. The food is outstanding. Even the free chips and salsa they start you with are memorable: the chips are fresh and super crunchy, and the salsa has real depth of flavor, not just heat. The entrées are some of the best value around, the burritos are massive (one could easily feed two or three people), and for takeout, the quesadillas literally come in a pizza box, which tells you everything you need to know about portion size. Their appetizers, queso, and house-made hot sauce are all excellent and full of flavor, not just spice. Most times I've been, the service has been fast, even when they're busy. The interior is clean, colorful, and decorated with authentic touches, so it feels fun and relaxed whether you're dining in or just grabbing takeout. If you're searching for great Mexican food in Norwalk, big portions, vegetarian/vegan options, and friendly service, Rincon Taqueria is easily one of the best spots around. Highly recommend.

When I've been in the Norwalk area recently for work, I try to stop here. My cousin who works in Norwalk always tells me she stops here once a week for lunch. I had to see what the hype was all about. While the location isn't the most appealing (auto shop parking lot), it is absolutely worth going to for some of the best Mexican cuisine around. Their shredded beef quesadillas and shrimp burritos are fantastic! So far, I've only been here twice but plan on coming back many more times. The staff was incredibly welcoming and kind.
