I'll give them a 3 1/2 stars because the items I got was pretty good. The problem is that they didn't have on the menu an item I wanted and the only reason I asked about it was when I was coming on Yelp to "Check in"! Lol See how Yelp is a big help!?! See what I did there? Lol But anyways the birria tacos which is the number one reason I stopped was not listed. So when I asked I had to order them each which was about $3. Me having this type of tacos before I'm thinking they will the be same size and toppings that I got from the last place. Not even close! As you can see from the picture the tacos are extremely small and have no toppings! No cheese, onions, cilantro, NOTHING! Just the meat and a small dipping sauce container. They were good but for that price they are too small and not worth having no toppings. I also got a burrito...carne asada which was filled with all the regular suspects but again NO CHEESE!! I'm not sure why they want to charge extra for cheese which is usually just a normal topping. So will I come back...probably not. I came here on a Sunday around 3pm, usually a slower time of day for restaurants. But the place was filled with people. Families, individuals and couples were eating a variety of foods. I initially came here as a recommendation by my friend, I also came here for the tacos. It looked good so even though I forgot my wallet at home, I drove back to get it and returned. Very happy with the tacos! So delicious, they are the style of tacos that I like, authentic and delicious. They have a fixings bar filled with all of my favorite things, cilantro, onions, limes. This place was okay. The flavor and food were delicious but the presentation was sloppy, tiny tiny tacos and stale tortillas with thinly sliced avocado for my one dish. The employers are very nice and there's a self-serve topping bar for your tortillas that you must wear gloves for if you'd like to take any with your dish. read more

Very decent taco spot. I recommend the crispy tripa or the chorizo. I was not a big fan of the al pastor, it wasn't off the spit and it was a little too salty. The tacos are well priced at $2.25 and are true street taco size. I also had the buche which was just ok. The salsa bar could use some fresh/grilled jalapeños(not the vinegar ones!), some grilled cebollitas and perhaps some spicier options than the medium red and mild green sauces. I would have enjoyed a spicy pineapple salsa or a fresh pico as well. I loved the mex-style horchata they offered and I also loved the clean and modern decor. The service was very friendly and prompt. I also tried the chicken tostada which was crunchy but lacked any stand out flavor. Good tacos for the area. I am from Southern California and have high standards for tacos. These are the best tacos I've tried in this area, but compared to CA standards they're decent. The meat is a little bit dry and could be juicer. If the meat was jucier, the meat would be more flavorful. I think they use corn/masa tortillas, and the taste really overpowers the meat. I lived in Woodbridge about three years ago and this was the spot! I was in the area today and decided to finally go to what WAS the spot for me. I ordered my usual 6 tacos with three different meats. Carne Asada, lengua, and Al Pastor. Disappointed. It's was crazy how a taco could be un-flavorful. I Can say my favorite became the worst. The lengua had such a bitter taste and a nasty after taste and had ZERO flavor. It was hard and bunt. The carne asada has a bit of a softer texture but no flavor and the Al pastor was mid but burnt and not what it used to be. I ate 2 out of 6 tacos. I used to be a loyal customer and I was always going to this spot. I even came once when I was pregnant in 2022 and it was still good. Today was a huge disappointment. Do better! read more

Delicious pit-stop off of Jefferson Davis Highway. Best Al Pastor taco I've had in a long time! They had a salad bar to grab your own toppings and sauces but it didn't look very fresh or feel sanitary to be grabbing my own things during pandemic times. As a Tejano expat, I will say these tacos come close to the tacos I grew up with. The tacos are simple and delicious. They also have tortas and quesadillas. They have a few combo meals but for the most part people order like a taco truck. This is Mexican (maybe a little Central American to capture the market). The tacos are plain and you add your own toppings (salsa, onions, cilantro, etc.) The staff is friendly and the women cooking look like my tias (aunties), so you know it's legit. Be advised: This is not Tex-Mex. They don't sell alcohol and you won't get tortilla chips at your table. Checked out this place today after reading all the reviews from the Alexandria location. The location is easy to find, right off of Route 1. The place was very clean and nice decor with pictures of the dishes on the wall. This is a plus for those that don't know what to order. We ordered the tacos and sopes and they were pretty good. The sopes had a nice crispness to them with queso fresco, like it should. The jamaica drink was on point, just the right amount of sweetness and simply fantastic. I visited mainly to have some posole. It was ok, pretty bland. It was missing some flavor and most of all the thinly sliced cabbage. Wish it was made available. They did have chiles and oregano available which is a plus. I give this place a 4.5 overall and will visit again to taste the other delicious dishes. read more

(I can't speak for the Alexandria site, but the Woodbridge site should be avoided..) I noticed the Burrito was filled with the same charred meat, but the Carne Asada was better, hence the two stars.. The worst thing about the restaurant is the hidden upcharges added for that bad meat vs. polo, plus the prices are not mentioned on the online or any store menus?! I noticed that even the Carne Asada was priced at $11.55, but I was charged $12.60 at the register?? Finally the fixin bar toppings were not even diced, and fair at best.. By far the best place I have had pupusas at. They make everything fresh especially their tomato sauce. Love the tacos too. Absolutely amazing food. I'm a very picky eaters when's it comes to eating outside. If they didn't do good I wouldn't even try to leave a review but the place is clean, the cashiers are very nice and friendly. I ordered tacos pollo (chicken tacos). They're made to order so you may have to wait. The tacos come (mine were to go) in a small container. If you look left from the counter, you'll see a fixins bar. You can dress your tacos with; diced onions, cilantro, radishes, limes, and either mild or hot salsa. I used onions, cilantro, and mild salsa. The chicken was fresh and juicy and piping hot. With the added fixins, I was in taco heaven. I'll be back in the near future because I LOVE tacos. I ordered the flautas for myself. They were great and the chicken was pretty moist. However, the chicken quesadillas were gross. There was a horrible aftertaste and sliminess that I cannot describe!
