    Seasonal Tres Leches Cake

Delicious Taco Tuesday today at Streetlight! Tacos were extremely fresh and the tres leche was off the chain Very nice laid back elevated causal ambience- a big fan of the overall vibe of the restaurant. Definitely will be coming back. Our server was attentive and food came out quick.

A couple friends and I wanted to get tacos and I immediately thought of Streetlight Taco from my prior experience. We all ordered tacos and shared guac, salsa, and chips. Everything was amazing!! The server was also very attentive and even brought me a complementary dessert when he found out my birthday recently passed. We sat outside on their patio which was nice and they also have a small area inside to seat. If you're looking for top notch tacos, look no further!

We had 2 protein bowls with Chicken and the streetlight sampler which includes guac, queso, and salsa. It was alright overall, but definitely not worth the price point at $22 a bowl and $25 for the sampler. The chicken in the bowl was very oily which was unpleasant. The sauce was also forgotten on both bowls. The guac was good and the salsa was different. If I had to order something from here again, I would just get chips and guac. A good place to try but overall not that great, would recommend Green Lemon over here. Would not return would not recommend.

    Sweet potato, flank steak, brisket

Though the service is a little slow and the parking lot is tiny, the food was really good! The only thing I thought was overhyped was the sweet potato taco. I love sweet potatoes but this just didn't hit the mark for me. My favorite was the taco Tuesday special taco that had flank steak and chorizo, don't see why it's not a permanent item! The brisket was super flavorful too but a little greasy. The rice and beans had an avocado green goddess dressing which I haven't seen anywhere else and the esquites were also tasty. I loved the grilled onions that were on the lunch tray as well. So much flavor! I would definitely go back to try some of their other menu items.

Tried for lunch. Small parking but it wasn't crowded at all so we parked easily and service was fast and friendly as well. The place had bar seating indoor seating and nice patio seating as well. Unique vegetarian options. My fav was definitely the seeet potato taco. The food is so pretty and colorful. The house made hot sauce was also soo good! Would definitely recommend.

    Chips & dip trio

We came in on a Friday night, and they said there was about a 30 minute wait but we could also sit at the bar instead. We opted to sit at the bar, so we sat right away and were immediately greeted by a few different bartenders. They took very good care of us, and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. We started with the chips and dip trio, and all three dips were delicious! The chips were also fresh, warm, and had a perfect crunch to them. I then split an order of sweet potato tacos and an order of Al pastor tacos, and they both were super flavorful and delicious! The sweet potato ones were very unique and had a flavor profile I hadn't had before, while the Al pastor were a little more traditional and so full of flavor. The corn tortillas are house made and you can definitely tell. My only complaint is that it was very loud inside, so a little difficult to have a conversation, but it was a Friday night and fairly crowded. The noise is definitely worth it for the quality and taste of the food though, especially at such a great price as well!

Streetlight Taco in Tampa more than lives up to the hype, and after eating here it's no wonder they've earned a Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand distinction. Every single bite felt intentional and incredibly well done. The horchata was smooth, lightly sweet, and perfectly spiced, the kind you want to sip slowly so it lasts longer. The taquitos were crisp on the outside, packed with flavor, and impossible to stop eating. Our waitress was awesome and absolutely nailed her recommendations. The grilled zucchini was fresh, smoky, and surprisingly rich, and the brisket taco was tender, savory, and full of deep flavor. She did not steer us wrong. We also tried the elote corn, which was creamy, tangy, and messy in the best way, along with the carne asada and carnitas, both cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor. Everything we tried was delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was easy and fun. It's an easy five stars from us.

    Seasonal Tres Leches Cake

Came here on Taco Tuesday with a friend and sat outside so she could bring her dog. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the service was great. I had the coconut iced tea, we shared the chipotle queso, I ordered the chicken tinga taquitos for dinner, and we finished with the seasonal tres leches cake. Great experience overall.

Service was a 1/10 but the food was good. I came for my birthday and was even wearing a button but the server did not acknowledge me or my family when mentioning we were celebrating. The server was not attentive, we ordered drinks and never got asked if we wanted more after finishing our first which we wanted to try more options or came back to check on us. We also never got a refill on water and the food was NEVER removed from our table even with dessert ordered for the bday. We just had a dirty table throughout which is a first for a bib (Michelin Guide) restaurant that I have been to. Dessert was just dropped off and walked away after ordering it 1 minute before. Very dissatisfied with the meal and experience especially because my grandmother came to treat me and this was not worth her money, was really looking forward to celebrating my birthday.

Pros: Ambiance is awesome. Very upscale casual, lots of Mexican looking artifacts around. Huge sacks of corn everywhere. It felt very functional. Very authentic. Service was great. The guy checked on us just enough. The food came out promptly. No concerns at all. Food was out of this world. They made chips and salsa feel elevated! Tacos were very niche, but unbelievably delicious. I loved that they had different types of tortillas for different styles. Cons: They were out of one of their non-alcoholic drinks. So that wasn't cool. But everything else about this trip was perfect. Tips: Do not be afraid of the vegetarian tacos. The sweet potato tacos we had were actually better than the brisket ones! Get the chips and dips trio! Those chips were amazing, and each dip was fantastic, too.

We came to Tampa one evening for a concert. We wanted to eat some good Tampa food, so we browsed the Michelin Guide and found this awesome looking taco place. So we loaded up, made the trip, and arrived for a great meal. Ambiance was excellent. Small and cozy, with lots of traditional Mexican decor all around. There was a lovely little bar that overlooks the open kitchen, really making the place feel very spacious. There were also sacks of different colored corn everywhere, imported from Mexico. Very cool. Service was very good, too. A nice fella who was very attentive. Kept our glasses full. And the food came out very promptly, too. No complaints at all about service. I also want to give a nice shoutout to the restaurant for having a nice little non-alcoholic drink menu. They were out of the Chocolate Horchata, but I did enjoy the very delicious Guava Horchata (rice milk, sweetened condensed milk, Mexican vanilla). Onto the food. Man, we really pigged out here. Started off with the Chips & Dips Sampler (guacamole, borracha salsa, queso flameado). Wow. Talk about elevating chips and dips. The chips are hearty and felt homemade. The guac was thicc and chunky, awesome. The Salsa was way beyond that bland free stuff you get elsewhere. And the queso was perfect, too. Don't skip over this app. It was amazing. We went onto the tacos next. First, the Flour Brisket Tacos (crispy cheese, puerco bean, cilantro, onion, almond / pecan salsa macha). Wow! Crispy cheese cooked right into the tortilla, fresh cilantro and onion, and the star of the show, that unbelievable almond/pecan salsa macha. That texture and that nuttiness set off the brisket absolutely perfectly. Then we went a little veggie, to the Sweet Potato Stone Ground Heirloom Corn Tacos (scallion goat cheese, pomegranate, jalapeño, sesame macha glaze). Believe it or not, this one was better than the brisket tacos. Tangy goat, tangy pom, heat from the jala, and that unique dept of the sesame, really made that perfectly cooked sweet potato sing. Wow. I wanted to order more of these. I don't see it on the menu anymore, which I like, because a seasonal/rotating menu is best, I think. But it was a crab and mango tostada with a delicious fruity cream cheese base and the crispiest, most perfect blue corn tortilla you've ever seen in your life. So good. We finished off with the Seasonal Tres Leches Cake (blueberry, mango, elderflower whipped cream, elderberry powder), which was expertly saturated and accompanied by the real fruit, not artificial syrups, which allowed the fruit flavor to be a part of the party, but not overwhelm it. Lovely. Overall, this place was lovely. Ignorant people knock the Michelin Guide, but those people need to get a life. The Guide led me here, and I had one of the best taco meals of my life.

certain things were good and certain things were not. For instance the brisket tacos were excellent but then the Elote was not. I asked for it to be off the cob which means the cob is cooke over fire and then shaved off which a knife. However I got canned corn. It is not the same flavor as corn on the cob. I simply ask it to be off the cob because its easier to eat. I asked the server about this and said I would rather have it on the cob if that means its not canned and I think there was some confusion because he literally brought me out the same dish of Elote in a bowl that taste like canned corn. The Guacamole app was very good and also the Shrimp tacos. I think I understand why they don't have a Michelin star now.
