We were 4th in line and waited about 10-15 mins. This was due to the workers setting up and cooking up all that protein! We tried the carne asada, al pastor, cabeza and tripa! The carne asada tasted like your standard asada. The Al pastor was a little dry but with the avocado sauce and hot sauce added, it made up for it. I have found my new taco spot! The tacos were $2 each, which surprisingly is difficult to find in this economy, and the workers were so nice and generous with their meat servings! I tried their carne asada, al pastor, and lengua--all were well-seasoned and perfectly cooked. We also got a mixed burrito, which was hefty as well. I liked that we could pile on condiments ourselves before they wrapped it up. The red, green, and avocado sauces were all very good--that is also the order of decreasing spice level. This taco stand is located in the ABC supermarket plaza on Bolsa and Magnolia, which I pass by often, so I am surprised that I have not discovered it until now. I rarely have tacos better than these! Service is great for us, but that's because we are basically regulars haha. They do seem to try and quickly operate at times because they are busy and it might seem rude but I guarantee you that these people are very nice. They have an amazing selection of meats. I personally would go for their al pastor, tripa, suadero, and lengua. My go to order is a queso burrito with half suadero and half pastor! They aren't too expensive and will have taco deals at times! I also love their pineapple agua fresca but it will run out early. Highly recommend this place! Honestly, wow. I was sad because my last go-to taco place disappointed me so much, but I finally found a spot that I love! My go-to order has been 3 Al Pastor and 1 Asada tacos with a Pineapple Agua Fresca. So, so, SO FLAVORFUL and for $2 each?! Huge emphasis on flavorful; they are not bland at all. I've had to return here the next day to get more since it was just that good. Like all taco stands, there's an area to get your onions and cilantro, salsas, etc. The drink was super refreshing after such a meal! I'd highly recommend getting it. Still my favorite taco stand I just wished they were open every day and closer to my house because I would eat it every day. My favorite meats are asada and al pastor. Their salsas are delicious, flavorful, and spicy. The pickled onions, jalapeños, and habanero are dangerously spicy. Recently tried the horchata and it's great too you can ask for samples. I'm not one to write reviews let alone a bad one but why do I always get charged differently as opposed to other people? I'm not trying to make this a thing about race either but could they just be playing favorites? They're in a very asian populated location too so I wonder if they do this to those who don't speak the best english as well. (for ex. my parents) First example, about a year ago, my dad and I came by for a horchata. The board had literally said $2 but the LADY charged us $5. Didn't want to make it a big deal so we just paid and left, but i've been thinking about it ever since lol. ANOTHER INCIDENT TODAY-- taco tuesday their tacos are labeled $1 per taco, mind you i've been going here pretty often too. Today i only got two tacos but i was charged $3. I don't care, it's cheap, it's the morals and how greedy they seem to be. The guys in front of me got 8 tacos, asada, pollo, and al pastor. They were only charged $8???? If you're looking for your new favorite taco stand, look no further. I have been coming here for years and they've never failed to disappoint me. Their tacos are absolutely amazing but don't forget to try their nachos. I would've never thought to initially but trust me, you can dress them up however you'd like. It is CASH only, but there's a Bank of America right next to the stand. They only have a few chairs but a lot of people choose to eat in their cars or bring it home. No seating, but I always like to enjoy my tacos in my car anyway I love how sanitary they are here, each person working is at a designated part of the process, with one person cooking the meats, another assembling/taking your order, and another who is solely collecting money. I appreciate that they take the care to keep everything clean! The condiments and toppings are self service and they provide everything you'd possibly need to enjoy your tacos. Tacos El May is probably the best taco stand in the whole Saigon area. Omar, the owner of the business, and his staff are very friendly. There is always a line, but it's worth the wait. The tacos there taste amazing. I always order the El Pastor, Asada, and the Tripas. All of these meats is a 5/5. I really enjoyed the el pastor with the extra pineapple on it. It adds a nice citrus and umami taste, and makes the meat tender as well. Their new item which is the nachos is also bomb. It's located right on Bolsa street before the Vietnamese supermarket. My partner and I recently moved to OC and are in search of the best tacos in the area. This street stand may take the cake. A local recommend this spot and we came on a Friday night around 7 PM. There was no line but by 7:30 it was starting to get busy. It is located right in front of the Bank of America at 8850 Bolsa Ave. Tacos are $2. Cash only. We tried the carne asada, al stator, and cabeza. Each taco was generous in size and tasted delicious! A burst of flavor in every bite. Ask for here so you can top the tacos off with onions, cilantro, raddish, salsa, etc. We also tried their horchata ($2 for small), which was one of the best horchatas we've ever had. Service was friendly and fast. Given that this stand is in a predominately Vietnamese American area, we thought it was unique how the menu was also in Vietnamese! We'll be back. read more

Since moving to OC, I've been on a hunt for great street tacos and this one has to be the one. On my drives home, I'd keep an eye out for taco stands and I've seen this one to be a consistent place set-up. There's also a parking lot right next to it, so it's super convenient. I always get el pastor tacos and love it when they carve it straight off the fire. Sometimes they'll do that here but other times they'll take it from the pre-cut. Either way, both have been good. One of my favorite spots I've came across for tacos in OC! It's located outside the fruit store plaza on Bolsa and Magnolia. Easy and plentiful parking. The vibes and ambiance are so lively and inviting, it feels like you're being welcomed to a family's cookout. They grill pork off the spit, beef and chicken that's been tenderized and stewed for hours, and put them in perfectly warm and small corn tortillas. There's an easy and organized sauce bar, and the cooks can grill onions to your liking. The tacos are $2 each (amazing deal!!) and are great quality. I wish I could eat this every week. Amazing meats and tacos!! I got 4 tacos (1 pastor, 1 asada, 1 brisket and 1 beef tongue) The meats were all really good. Not dry at all. I must say though, the beef tongue was sooo flavorful. Tacos El May is a pretty good option for tacos in the OC! There have been other taco stands/trucks that I used to go to, but they've either went out of business or they don't have normal consistent hours. At $2 per taco, Tacos El May tacos are filled with meat and good value. I tried the Al pastor, chicken, and cabeza tacos. The cabeza tacos were my favorite since they were very tender and had good flavor. The chicken and al pastor tacos were decent but didn't quite live up to what I have come to expect in Los Angeles. If they could get a bit more crisp and char on the al pastor, then it could be great. They have all the toppings for your tacos. The horchata was good too. Overall, this is a solid taco spot in the OC and I'll be coming back here to try more of their other tacos in the future. read more

My mom used to work nearby, and I passed by their food stand multiple times before but didn't get a chance to try their tacos until today. I got 2 lengua, 2 asada, 2 pollo for only $13. Very good deal. The meat is very flavorful, soft & not dry at all. Plus they're SO generous with the stuffing, A LOT of meat. Also you're free to help yourself with the condiments. I really like their pickled red onion mixed with jalapenos & habanero, it's quite spicy. I wish their taco wraps could be a bit bigger so that all the stuffing would fit in. I've frequented this stand for about a year now and it's safe to say that they're my go to for street tacos. The flavors are still bussin and the service is still on point. It's been at least a couple months since I got some tacos here (mainly because for then I went so often that I was tired of tacos for awhile) but thankfully they're still there and business seems to be bustling. I saw that they added nachos to the menu, so I ordered some tonight. $10 for a huge shareable portion and they're generous with the meat. I got mine with suadero but you can choose whatever you want. Their al pastor is still one of my favorites. It's tender and flavorful but the flavor is different than others. The al pastor doesn't automatically come with pineapple so definitely ask if they have it available. To drink, I usually get the strawberry milk drink and horchata half and half. It's fruity, milky, and sweet so it's perfect in between savory bites. I'll continue to support and have already recommended it to several friends and family. I love to see that there's always a line when I'm there! It's awesome to see some older Vietnamese folk enjoying and embracing food from another culture. read more

My friend and I came here and we shared nachos and got our own tacos. She got Al Pastor and I got Carne Asada.
