Sooooo goood! I was craving streets tacos the night before, so we visit another little place in Kearns and was a total disappointment. The next day, we decided to drove down State St were we know we can find real street tacos. That is how we found this place. The line was huge, but the lady at the cart was very fast. We got 8 tacos. Our favorite were the carnitas tacos and the alambre tacos. They were all so full of flavor and cheap at $1.25 each. This is definitely a place to visit more often.

Anyone up for some delicious tacos?

Okay, so perhaps I went a little taco-overboard today. A taco truck at the office for lunch and another taco truck at a social gathering this evening adds up to some dueling tacos reviews--and on this day, Tacos El Pariente was the clear winner! First off, these were authentic street tacos--doubled mini corn tortillas, packed with meat, and on the side they had ALL the fixins (four different sauces, diced tomato/onion, cabbage, radishes, peppers, etc.). I was thrilled to see they had al pastor tacos, and I took full advantage! Four al pastors and an asada later, and I was in taco la-la land. Each of the tacos had incredible flavor, and the side toppings were incredibly fresh. I snagged a business card just so I can reserve the services of Tacos El Pariente the next time we have a big family event--just park that cute little taco cart on the driveway and keep 'em coming. Oh, yes please!

Won the taco heart for Valentines Day. Delish tacos. Salsa slaps, so good for all heat levels. Happy and helpful staff. Super clean environment. El Pastor and Asada Tacos are muy bueno! 10/10. Thank you, El Pariente and U92!

Go ahead and splurge on some fast Mexican street food from this local taco cart. Get yourself a $1 taco filled with Alambre (cheese/red peppers/carne asada), Carne Asada (steak), Pollo (chicken), and Al Pastor (spicy pork). Sure they have other options, but these are what I prefer. Watch out, they are coming out hot on a styrofoam plate served upon two mini corn tortillas each. Open up that right cooler and get yourself a little shredded cabbage, maybe a dash of pico de gallo, a lime, some pickled carrots/onions/jalapenos, and a squirt of the avocado salsa for a little kick. Maybe grilled onions if you're into that sort of thing. Or maybe your stomach is really hungry. Get that $6 burrito wrapped in a hot big flour tortilla filled with mexican style rice and loads of pinto beans. There are the same meat options but just stick with the carne asada, or you know what, you do what you want! Ask for it to stay open - they will wrap it for you if you lack the burrito-tucking-abilities. Why open? Well same procedures as the tacos, put what you want on that beast! Maybe you take a kid with you who is like, "You want me to eat that messy taco?" Get that little human a quesadilla or torta for $5. The next thing you need to do is open up the cooler on the right and snag up a can of mango nectar to help slug down that taco/burrito/quesadilla/or torta you chose (why not, all the drinks are a buck!). Hand the gal some cash (because that's your only option) for giving you cheap tasty delicious Mexican food. Place a buck or two into the hanging bird-looking tip jar, and go sit on the back of your car. Oh and do yourself a favor and grab a paper towel would ya? Boom - You will become a fan.

Tacos weren't very good. Nothing special. Lady that was there was rude. Better off looking somewhere else.

Unfortunately I kind of wish I didn't. We tried the fish tacos, shrimp tacos, Carne Adovada Burrito, nachos with shredded beef, and horchata. The dish with the most flavor was the nachos. I'd give that dish a 4. The horchata was pretty good too. Definitely above average horchata. But the rest of the dishes didn't have enough flavor, even after adding salsa from their salsa bar. This was pretty disappointing and we wished we had picked a different restaurant for lunch.

We arrived a little ahead of a huge storm coming in as we drove through it about an hour before. Fun little space that has a drive thru window as well. The cashier was friendly as gave us a few recommendations. They go have a daily fresh fish but I didn't recognize the fish so I ordered a shrimp taco and adovada taco. My son got a shrimp burrito and then we split a chips and guacamole. The chips and guacamole were incredible. The chips were a tad thicker but great crunch and could hold up the large thick scoops of fresh guacamole. The shrimp burrito was enormous as it had marinated shrimp, beans, rice, cabbage, jalapeños and more. Every item was fresh and flavorful. The tacos were both very tasty as well. The tacos and burrito came with a jalapeño crema that was also yummy. They have a little salsa bar with a tomatillo green, jalapeño medium, a hot and pico de gallo. The salsas were all good. We sat on the fun but small patio and then rolled out just before the huge storm hit. We took the rest of the chips and guacamole to go in the car as we were driving north to our next stop. Definitely a place to come back to in the future if we are in SLC again.

This is an odd service but it's acceptable especially since their foods are impeccably delicious!…read more You order and pay inside, then take your bill outside around the corner to the food cart. The cook makes the food, hands you the food, you add all the toppings you wish (without judgment), and can go back inside the restaurant (unless you grab the wrong door and end up at the barber) to sit at a table or wherever you wish to eat. I got to select however many meats with no toppings and was pain free for the rest of the day (conclusion for me: no additives triggered a wobbly digestion in response). Everything looked and smelled fresh. Ambiance: bit bare inside, definitely not cozy. But if you are there to get food and eat it, it should be good enough.

It's a cash-only establishment, and the prices are so low that you'll easily be able to have a nice meal for whatever you've got in your wallet. I enjoyed two tacos-a beef and a chicken, both absolutely amazing. The flavor is great, the tortillas are warm and fresh-everything about it is great. If you're looking for authentic street tacos and don't mind eating in your car or in the parking lot, this is a fantastic option. I may find myself driving over and setting up a taco picnic in the back of my truck this summer. Grab a plate and come join me.
