I told them I had two Surprise Bags to pick up. However, when it came time to hand me the food, I was told that the taco counted as one Surprise Bag and the quesadilla counted as the second. If that's how they structure their Surprise Bags, then I should have received two aguas frescas as well, being that the taco and quesadilla count as a "bag". Instead, I received only one drink. In total, I got one regular taco, one quesadilla, and one agua fresca for about $18. The value was nowhere near what I expected. To make matters worse, I drove out at 11 PM specifically to pick up this order. It ended up being a waste of time and money. The food wasn't bad, admittedly, but the staff made me feel like I was inconveniencing them simply by picking up an order they chose to offer through the app. To be clear, even if the taco and quesadilla technically met the value they intended to provide, the value I received was nowhere close to what I paid. The whole purpose of Too Good To Go is to receive surplus food at a discount. Based on what I was given, it felt like I paid regular menu price, or possibly more, for a taco, a quesadilla, and one drink. There was nothing about this order that felt like a discounted surprise bag. I contacted Too Good To Go, thankfully after explaining and photos, they issued a refund. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be returning or recommending this business. Totally could've been a great experience, and I wish it had been.
