Tacos El Pollo was another taco spot that I wanted to visit. This is located at the corner of Marshall st and San Gabriel blvd. I went near 6 pm and it wasn't crowded. There was a few parking spots right in front of the truck. For ordering, I got to place my order right away. It only took a few minutes to get all of my items. At the time, it seemed they did not have lengua and horchata. I decided to get (1) al pastor burrito, (1) asada taco, and (1) chorizo taco. While I was waiting, I went to grab some of the topping and sauces at their bar. For seating, they had a single table with multiple chairs that I sat at while waiting for my order. The asada was pretty solid. The chorizo was slightly salty. The Al pastor was also pretty good as well. I paired these with the red and green sauces. The red had the spiciness, while the green one had flavor. I'll definitely come back to try some of their items. Note: While they accept credit card, there is an extra fee. The pricing is about a dollar more expensive than other places because the highlight of this place is the unlimited salsas and toppings you can get. (PLACE) I'm not sure how taco truck permits work but they definitely should have found a better spot to park at instead of the Marshall and San Gabriel intersection. Parking there is kinda annoying. A friend recommend this taco truck so came here to try them out. Got the suadero taco and cabeza nachos. I was feeling nachos so was looking forward to it. I did see past photos that weren't as appetizing, but I ordered anyways. It was yummy. Cabeza nachos The cabeza was moist and tender. Ordering togo, they put the meet with the nacho chips and the cheese separately. I know why it didn't look as appetizing. Me liking how my nachos are attacked, I removed the meat, poured the cheese in layers with the nacho chips, ripped it worth the meats, and added cilantro and onions. NOTE it doesn't come with any cilantro or onions, you'll need to ask for it. Or if you are grabbing tacos, there will be a baby in the side. Besides the extra work, I enjoyed the meal and tried to pawn them off to some friends to finish. Would definitely recommend this dish. Suadero taco I was really looking forward to this. The best suadero I've had so far is from Avenue 26, before the pandemic so not sure how they taste now, and was hoping that they can match up. Sadly it was no match. The flavoring was good, but the meats were a little on the dry side. I would definitely give 5 stars if the meat was moist and tender. Okay so their pollo is quite good, but my family is hooked on this place for their bomb carne asada. 75% of our "outside food" meals are eaten here. The operators are really friendly, parking at Marshall and San Gabriel is easy peasy. They offer five salsas - all of which are tasty (but the verde is where I live). I'm hesitant to post because I generally don't have to wait in line to eat here. The street is pretty busy at dinner time, but it's not too much of a distraction while you sit at their folding table on the sidewalk grubbing your tacos or burritos. Na-cho NORMAL NACHOS! I absolutely love the Mexican food from this place, especially their nachos! My friend frequently orders from here through DoorDash, and I always get excited when I know they're coming. The flavors are authentic and have a real East LA feel to them, but without the long drive. One thing that really sets them apart is the separate bag of about 8 different salsas, limes, chopped onions, cilantro, and radishes that they include. While their asada burrito is legit, I prefer to order to go because the last time we visited in person, we saw some people coughing near the open barrels of salsa, so we decided to leave. Love this truck because their staff are friendly and the prices are great. They are cash only and have a row of plastic seats. They have plastic forks, napkins, and squeeze containers or salsas. The salsas include a roja, verde, habanero, and aguacate. Sometimes they have tubs of onion/cucumber, radish, and limes but sometimes they only give it to you with your order. My Mexican-born-and-raised wife is very picky about her Mexican food, especially tacos. Well, I was greatly surprised that she absolutely loved all four of the street tacos she ordered. That almost never happens. I ordered a carne asada quesadilla and it was one of the best I've ever had. The truck offers a wide variety of foods and they have a nice salsa bar, including several flavorful and spicy selections. Prices are super reasonable. I had a hard time eating it despite the amount of sauces I put in it. The tacos came with grilled onions on the side as well as grilled jalapenos. Very generous as most places only give it to you if you ask. All condiments were outside the truck. Onion and cilantro were separated which is a nice thing for people who hate cilantro! In most days, this place usually hits the spot for nachos. When you order the nachos, they separate the cheese in a cup and the load the meat with jalapeño on to the chips. It's really nice! They also give you the grilled jalapeños and onions too without having to ask. Tonight I was craving nachos and decided to go and get some. The cook sure was having a bad day or something. I got my usual Asada nachos and noticed they didn't put it the cheese in a cup. I was okay. No big deal. Got home and opened it up and started to eat. I think they loaded the cheese on top to hide that they didn't put enough Asada on it. Plus they went up an extra buck for nachos and charge tax now too. This review is not based on their food, but rather their DISHONESTY. I recently purchased tacos, quesadillas, and horchatas for my family. When the woman taking my order gave me the total for the order, she said $60.00. I paid with card, she took the card and after a few seconds returned the card. I stood there for a second or two unsure if I'd get a receipt. She asked if I wanted a receipt and I said "No, it's okay." I then waited around, got my order, and went home. When I got home and told my family where I had gotten the food from, they asked how much it was and to double check my bank account, because they had previously been to that same place, and they were suspicious that they might have been overcharged. I checked my account and I had a charge of $66.00. This $66.00 was NOT the price she gave me. When I asked my family member what had happened that led them to believe they might have been overcharged, they remember being told $80 for the order but had a credit card charge of $88.00. At the time they had not confirmed it and simply thought they might have heard wrong. But with this pattern, it would seem they are charging a 10% tip or miscellaneous charge. I have tried calling them but there is never an answer. I plan on going back to them to ask about this issue because they cannot be doing this. If they are going to have extra charges, just tell the customer. I usually always ask for receipts but I failed to this time. Always ask for a receipt from this place, and if you pay with a credit card, check your statement to make sure they are not overcharging you. read more

Lots of sauces, plenty of cilantro and onions, radishes, pickled veggies, and limes. I typically get carne asada, tripas, and suadero tacos, whereas the bf gets carne asada and pastor. Tasty tacos with beans and rice available Big Burritos and Tortas, with many choices for meats from Carne Asada, Al pastor to my favorite carnitas ...
