Carnitas and pollo tacos were excellent.

Carnitas and pollo tacos were excellent. The pork had a nice crisp. Chicken had charcoal taste from grill. Asada & pastor were good. But pork and chicken I'm coming back for.

(FOOD) The food is okay, I get the usual asada tacos or if I feel adventurous maybe the mulitas which are bigger than normal. The pricing is about a dollar more expensive than other places because the highlight of this place is the unlimited salsas and toppings you can get. I always get a ton of diced onions and cilantro with extra EXTRA salsa verde to go. (SERVICE) Not bad. (PLACE) I'm not sure how taco truck permits work but they definitely should have found a better spot to park at instead of the Marshall and San Gabriel intersection. Parking there is kinda annoying. (VERDICT) Food is okay. I only go for the unlimited condiments. Location is whack. I prefer Arandinos on Valley and San Gabriel but they don't have unlimited condiments so I go back and forth between the two taco trucks.

A friend recommend this taco truck so came here to try them out. Got the suadero taco and cabeza nachos. I was feeling nachos so was looking forward to it. I did see past photos that weren't as appetizing, but I ordered anyways. It was yummy. Cabeza nachos The cabeza was moist and tender. Ordering togo, they put the meet with the nacho chips and the cheese separately. I know why it didn't look as appetizing. Me liking how my nachos are attacked, I removed the meat, poured the cheese in layers with the nacho chips, ripped it worth the meats, and added cilantro and onions. NOTE it doesn't come with any cilantro or onions, you'll need to ask for it. Or if you are grabbing tacos, there will be a baby in the side. Besides the extra work, I enjoyed the meal and tried to pawn them off to some friends to finish. Would definitely recommend this dish. Suadero taco I was really looking forward to this. The best suadero I've had so far is from Avenue 26, before the pandemic so not sure how they taste now, and was hoping that they can match up. Sadly it was no match. The flavoring was good, but the meats were a little on the dry side. I would definitely give 5 stars if the meat was moist and tender. Not sure about any other meat, but I would choose the cabeza of of these 2 meats.

My husband and I frequent this spot for late night tacos. Today he ordered the torta which had moldy bread. We are so disappointed as we get food here pretty often.

Na-cho NORMAL NACHOS! I absolutely love the Mexican food from this place, especially their nachos! My friend frequently orders from here through DoorDash, and I always get excited when I know they're coming. The flavors are authentic and have a real East LA feel to them, but without the long drive. One thing that really sets them apart is the separate bag of about 8 different salsas, limes, chopped onions, cilantro, and radishes that they include. While their asada burrito is legit, I prefer to order to go because the last time we visited in person, we saw some people coughing near the open barrels of salsa, so we decided to leave. Though I prefer the nachos from Michoachan Carnitas in LA, these still satisfy my cravings for authentic Mexican food without having to make the drive.

$2 lengua taco $1.50 Al pastor taco

This is now my new go to Taco spot. Cash only. It's off San Gabriel Blvd and really easy to drive by and miss. Pull over either before or after the truck. They have the list of meats listed at the window- Asada, Pastor, Babeza, Lengua, Suadero, buche, carnitas, pollo, chorizo, tripas $1.50 tacos. For all meats except $2.00 Lengua tacos Comes with a grilled onions that's super good and grilled jalopeno. The Al Pastor taco- good size and great flavor! The Lengua- is not just nice and soft like other places but super flavorful. The $4.00 mulitas are huge, but I think the cheese is overpowering the meat. In front they have your green sauce, red sauce, and avocado sauce that you help yourself with. They have this pickled cucumber that's super spicy.

This is currently our go to taco truck in the area, service is great, the taco man is always nice and friendly, very quick as well. Never had to wait for more than 15 mins to get our orders. I love that they scoop all the onions, cilantro, grilled onion and peppers for us. So we don't have to worry about getting it ourselves. Sauce is on the side, and you can get that yourself. I love that they leave chairs out for their customer to sit and enjoy their tacos. Price is very reasonable, food is always fresh, I always take mind to go. Parking is on the street, but I always sneakily park in the auto shop's parking lot. Recommend to family and friends Yes Return: I BEEN.. at the very least, weekly Price: Reasonable

Hits the spot Just Right.. Probably my new favorite local TacoTruck. Right at the corner of the 10 freeway and San Gabriel Blvd. Super friendly dudes too! Gave me a nice hot chocolate cuz of the chilly weather

    All meat burrito (al pastor)
    Vivian L.

On our way home, my husband and I picked up some burritos for dinner. We ordered 2 al pastor all meat burritos and a quesadilla with al pastor meat. When we got home to eat the burritos, it was so disappointing. There was barely any meat for an all meat burrito or any kind of burrito. Only pro was they gave a lot of the sides- lime, cilantro onion mix, radish, and marinated onions.

Some of their most popular dishes include Asada Burritos, Super Fries, and Tlayudas. I recently attended an event at my son's school where Chanos was a vendor. It was my first time seeing them there, and I was glad to see them, as they've replaced other vendors in the past. I had already eaten, but who can resist a burrito?! My son was getting hungry, so I ordered an Asada Burrito for us to share. It was pretty good; the tortilla was excellent. I wasn't a fan of their rice and beans, but the asada was not bad. They had a few salsas to try. They used those tiny salsa containers, which everyone knows. Restaurants use them to prevent over-indulgence, but it takes a while to get enough salsa because they're so small. I understand it's a cost-saving measure. They were also serving Churros ($3), and I got two. They were okay, a bit doughy in the middle, making me think they were undercooked. The guys working the booth were super friendly and attentive. I appreciate them! Realistically, the burrito was a 3/5, but with the good service and their community support, I'm rounding it up to a 4. Until next time, Chanos! Gracias!

I was starving. I parked and went in. I ordered 2 fish tacos and the cook instantly got 2 FRESH (not frozen) larger than expected, fish fillets, THEN dipped them into HOMEMADE BATTER right in front of me and dropped them into the fry basket. Where will you ever see that nowadays? They were ready almost instantly, and were done perfect Baja style, with lots of that good salty mayo+crema white sauce. THEY WERE AWESOME. And BIG. And would have cost WAY MORE at any other place...for $5. Really satisfying, I was NOT hungry after 2 of them. Since then I have probably been there 7 times, the quality has never varied. And they make all their own salsas, etc. I have even taken jobs down in that area just so I can eat there! ;-) The only other thing I have tried is taco de lengua, it was equally excellent, with LOTS of meat, not some skimpy little street taco thing. But just go there and see what $5 will get you with the fish tacos, this has to be the best deal in today's food world that I have found and I work all over the San Gabriel Valley and eat at dozens of places. Its not fancy though, old school with lots of handmade cardboard signs showing lots of other dishes, but this is the ambiance you will find in some of the BEST mom and pop type cafe's. The ratio of deliciousness and quality to price is insanely in favor of the customer!!

This place has been serving the community since 1979. Street parking only. Service is friendly, prompt. No frills but appears authentic enough. There are about 20 indoor seating (booths & tables). The cafe is fairly clean. Our order was ready in a jiffy. Got fresh salsa from the counter along with pickled carrots, onions & jalapeños. Not bad but the menudo lacked depth & richness, so did the albondigas. Overall a good experience at least once.
