Checked out Tacos El Rey for a late lunch. They're a food truck but have a warm, covered sitting area. Second location is out in Arlington. We dropped in on a late Friday afternoon (2:45pm). Food came out within five minutes. Two sauce bottles; salsa verde (nice unexpected kick) and salsa roja. - 4x Tacos - lengua ($3.25 USD), asada ($3.00 USD), birria ($3.25 USD) and chorizo ($3.00 USD). Favourite was the lengua. Chorizo was packed. Asada and birria were a touch dry. Grilled onions were nicely done - Enchiladas ($14.00 USD) - opted for adobada. Best of the meats we tried. No sauce but still flavourful. Rice was solid, beans unmemorable

I love birria tacos, so I was sold when this place came up in my results! The quesabirria tacos themselves were delish and the consume was as expected. The beans and rice were disappointing, but that wasn't my main objective anyways. The HORCHATA though. DELISH. Probably the best horchata I've had. Enjoyed so much that I forced myself to same some for the next day's latte (which, I highly recommend!). Salsas were really good too. Nice workers, and they have a covered waiting area. They also had some seating if you wanted to eat on site.

Absolutely delicious, flavorful, perfectly portioned food. Doesn't matter what you choose off the menu, it's all good. The service is super fast, we sat down and got up ~30 seconds later to get our order. This is a food truck but there is a covered, porched-in sitting area on site that is super insulated, so even if it's cold and rainy you'll have somewhere to sit. My only complaint is that it's 40+ minutes from where I live! So whenever I travel north, I always try to incorporate this truck for a meal on the way home--it's that good.

    Soooo good!! Authentic Mexican food!

Authentic delicious Mexican food! Worth the drive from anywhere in western Washington. The torta was so delicious the carnitas were perfect. The burritos are on point. Being from Southern California, this is the closest I've gotten to a real authentic Mexican taco truck since being in Washington. The red and green salsa are also amazing! I would buy it if it was jarred. So worth it! Only 5 minutes from the freeway exit.

This review is for the truck located on 172nd in Arlington. I've tried the tacos, burritos, and tortas over the last few months. The food is really authentic and I highly recommend the asada, lengua, and tripa meat options. The burritos have beans, rice, avocado, pickled jalapeño and lettuce . I order without lettuce...warm lettuce is no bueno. Tacos come with grilled onions, raw chopped onions and cilantro. Their green salsa is bomb! 4 star because it's hit and miss when the truck will be there and consistency is presentation is lacking at times. But otherwise, probably the best truck in Arlington/Marysville.

It has been years since I've had this truck but it's still sooo good. My husband was coming back from golf and asked if I wanted something. Couldn't decide between tacos or a burrito and ended up with 2 asada and 2 lengua tacos. The asada was a bit dry but good flavor, the lengua was spot on and very tender. He got the pork wet burrito which I had a bite of and definitely getting that next time. What a delight - don't walk, run for your next great meal.

I was a little skeptical coming here (due to it being a food truck), but all I can say now is that I can't wait to be back! Know about them from a friend whom goes here almost every week. I ordered 6 tacos: 2 lengua (beef tongue), 2 cabeza (cow head), and 2 tripa (intestine) and each and every one of them were full of flavors. Although Lengua tacos stood out to me the most! Note that you might not find tripa on the menu, so you'll have to ask them for it. They have a little house by their truck for you to dine in with heaters installed! very generous with portions here and prices are reasonable as well. Highly recommend!

The queso birria with consome is an excellent choice. The consome really adds to the flavor. I prefer the green sauce.

Good prices, REAL carne asada. They make Birria Tijuana look like dog water and they're only a food truck vs a chain restaurant.

Ordered the chorizo queso and we nearly fought for the last of it- Husband got a smothered burritto and was making happy noises the whole time, I got the beef enchilladas with mole - very sweet if you're into that. Amazing service as well.

I didn't buy it because I know Marysville has Las Margaritas and La Hacienda, 2 places I grew up with in Seattle and although, one left the city and the other has closed locations, I'd like to believe either can still serve a respectable plate. So, I found this place and suggested it and this is my report. $25 for lunch was a bit steep, that was just the entrée with tax and tip. No beverage or extras. Salsa was okay, could have been hotter. I aksed for something hotter, but they said they didn't have anything. Pictures showed multiple salsas and bottles of sauce, but we weren't offered any. The plate came with healthy portions of rice and beans. But the portion of Carne Asada did not impress. It also had the smaller portion of guacamole, it was like a half teaspoon, not enough to compliment the entrée. I won't drag this out. The food was pretty good, it did take some salt and pepper to really pop, but it was better than any local chain Mexican food. I will also say the service improved from cold to friendly and neither of us left hungry. Speaking of cold, there was no hot water in the restroom. I don't know why the Health Department allows this. It takes soap and hot water to wash hands. If there is no hot water, you are not a clean restaurant in my book. Still, I'd probably give this place a 3 with a point deduction for price and for not appearing to offer the same menu items previous reviews advertise. Fastest way to earn 5 stars is to increase the protein portion and put hot water in the restroom. For the record, there was a supreme Enchilada special for $12. That is very reasonable and also why I didn't hesitate to pay $18 for the Carne Asada Lunch, I just assumed, I would get the same value, but did not. This place is worth checking out, but it was also empty and I can see why. If I were back in the area, I would most likely try Las Margaritas or La Hacienda. I feel confident my dollar goes further there.
