Meh... I love places like this (see my other reviews), but TES didn't pass the first cut. My standards are to get the "popular" or leading menu item(s) the first time, usually cheap tacos so get a few to sample: chorizo, pollo, and barbacoa. They just didn't have much flavor to them or anything unique to draw me in. The sauces (red and green) are very good but they didn't add enough zip for me. I rarely leave food on the table but did this time. On a very positive note - very friendly staff and clean kitchen and eating areas. The seafood soup some gentlemen were eating looked great and the staff recommended the large version for more seafood. Give it a try, but there are street places nearby I put a bit higher. read more

I love these hole in the wall places. It's literally a restaurant inside the Exxon gas station on Bells Ferry Road and Eagle Drive in front of the Wal-Mart Shopping Center. Entering the places like entering someone's kitchen. Literally its a kitchen with a counter, seating and 4-5 tables. The menu is in both Spanish and English. It's one of those places where they give you tons of food for little next to nothing. I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla and when the nice woman asked if I wanted a medium or large? I wasn't sure but when she showed me their medium quesadilla which is a large for most restaurants; I thought I better stick to a medium. I also got rice and beans which tasted like it was made from scratch...not the can version I make at home...lol.... Best of all was the price. Happen to stumble in here for a drink one day at the gas station and saw a packed "restaurant." I wasn't even that hungry but I was in such shock I was like wow I got to try this place out. I had one of each of the premium tacos carnitas steak and shrimp, and let me tell you these were some of the best tacos I've ever had. I talk to the guy cooking and let him know how great it was he happen to be the owner so you know that there is love and care in the food and it shines. The sauces where amazing as well. Anytime I am in the area I will definitely be stopping by to grab some tacos!! read more

You would never know this place was there unless you went inside to pay for gas or buy something as it's a gas station/convenience store and the "make-shift" restaurant has no signage out front to speak of, but wow this place is good! They have 4-5 tables and counter seating. Every item is cooked to order on the small griddle and the Masa seems to be made fresh all day long as I witnessed this first hand. With so many mediocre same 'ol same 'ol south of the border and Tex-Mex establishments in the metro area, it's a treasure to find an authentic gem such as Taco's El Sabor. I had the steak and salsa quesadilla with beans and rice. The quesadilla was mouth watering delicious and oozing with hot delicious cheese. Very obvious the beans are homemade and not canned like most places. The table across from me were all eating the Mexican Seafood Stew and seemed to love it as they never said a word to each other. I am long overdue for this review. Most foodies are aware that it's the places you least expect that deliver the biggest surprise! Tacos el Sabor is no exception to the rule. This place is family owned and operated and I have never left with any regret other than not having more room for additional tacos. My fiancé and I drive from Cartersville for tacos on the weekend, and if we happen to be in the area we MUST stop. I'm no taco expert but I can tell you that this place pours love and soul into their food. PASTOR is my top choice! You cannot go wrong but I suggest you leave now and go geez some! read more

First time I ate here since it is no longer Becky's Super nTacos. I was NOT at all disappointed. Amazingly, every table was occupied at 1 PM on a Sunday afternoon! Very popular, but it's no wonder because the food and service were outstanding. My date had steak fajitas and I had a carne asada tortas. Both were generous servings as well as great tasting. You but your drinks from the gas station. You get two types of salsa - a green one which is my favorite and a red one which is spicier and smoky. Do not give a second thought to this being located in a gas station. The area is pristinely clean, service is friendly and helpful and the food is amazing. Seriously like a meal prepared in the home of an abuela delicious. Also it's RIDICULOUSLY cheap. For $10 we had a dinner of tacos, tostada and a quesadilla. We had so much food we ate twice. We got breakfast this morning and are blown away by the freshness and quality. Chilaquiles and huevos rancheros ran us $14 and they were better than any fancy Woodstock brunch. We moved here from San Diego. We've spent 8 years, attempting to locate authentic street tacos, burritos, and other Mexican cuisine. Having just purchased our new home, I asked my Hispanic neighbors if they could offer suggestions. My daughter and I had lunch here yesterday. It was outstanding! My favorite place for tacos in the area. Authentic with several different meat choices (tinga and bistec ranchero are great!) Don't let the fact that it's inside an Exxon station fool you, great 99-cent tacos, homemade tortillas are 50 cents more. Everyone is always friendly, definitely worth a visit! read more

This place was great! The tacos asada, pollo and pastor were great. We got some with their homemade corn tortillas rather that the packaged ones (a nice option to have) as well as some flour. The salsa verdi was my favorite despite the red being very good, too. My basket came with just about an entire sliced lime and some slices of radish and cucumber with the tacos. The tons of onion and cilantro were very fresh. The meats were all fresh grilled as we watched. Each small taco was overfull of meat and seasonings. There are not many tables, but they are well spaced out so that even a really big guy like me is comfortable while eating. (NOTE: You have to walk across to the gas station cashier to pay for a drink; this taqueria does not sell beverages at all.) Taco perfection and friendly people, all within an Exxon station.
