They have lots of different meat choices to pick from but we personally like the carne asada the best. They fill the tacos full of meat and they top them with onions and cilantro. They give complimentary chips and salsa and pinto beans. Everything here has so much flavor, it's the best taco place we have ever been to. The prices are very reasonable. You pick your own spot to sit and someone comes and takes your order shortly after. The service here is fast! Our tacos always come out quick after we order. When you go to pay you have to go to the store next door down the hallway, so that was a little tricky at first to figure out. We love it here! read more

I've been here twice now and both times the carnitas tacos were absolutely delectable! For the appetizers they brought out chips with two types of sauce and one type of beans. The first time I went there I tried the pork stomach which had an interesting texture (It felt like I should be the one digested!) but nonetheless still tasted really great. They were very accommodating for a large group (14 people) and food came out relatively speedy considering the amount of people and the amount of food ordered! (Lightning McQueen fast) The reason for the four stars was the service the first time I went was slightly slow and you can't split the bill up, one person has to pay when your in a group. There is outdoor seating and indoor seating but if you sit outdoors just let them know! A wonderful bustling environment filled with smells that will call you back and food that you'll dream of at night. Lovely place for a quick bite to eat. read more

I always make it a point to come here when I am in the area. The tacos are as legit as it gets and the price at under $2 can't be beat. My fave is the pig stomach, but all the other meats are great. My daughter attends WWU and has been raving about this place so on our visit last weekend we went there for lunch. I will start by saying it was very busy however it started off mediocre and plummeted from there. When we walked in no one acknowledged us and it took about 10 minutes to be seated. Ok thats fine however it then took another 10 minutes for anyone to come to our table. When the waitress finally came by to give us chips she proceeded to put down one very small basket of chips, when my daughter asked to a second basket the girl simply dropped it on the table and walked away. She came back a few minutes later with some water but told us to take it off the tray ourselves. Then another 5 minutes before returning to take our order. Mind you at that point in the entire time we were there did anyone bother to say hello or welcome in. We finally placed our order and then waited another 15-20 minutes. Like I said it was busy when we got there but by this time it had cleared out considerably and a few other customers were coming in. Thats when we noticed that the table behind us that had been there for less than 10 minutes and a table of 3 that had literally just sat down were being served their meals. When we stopped one of the waitresses she gave the "oh we are just very busy". When I told her that other tables that had been there for far less time were being served she said "thats just how it works". Amazingly just 2 minutes after complaining our meal showed up but as I reached for my plate she essentially threw it at me and gave me a very rude look. Now we all understand stuff happens and we think maybe our order was misplaced however there was not so much as a "hey we are sorry". Needless to say we left no tip and will not return. Its too bad because the food actually turned out to be very good. Horrible service! read more

Good deal for tacos. Even though prices have gone up after 9 years of $1 taco, the tacos are still very affordable at $1-1.99 each. Average price is $1.50 taco. Order at the cashier by the door. They do ask if you want it for here or to go. Collect at the butcher area. There is a dine in area at one side. The other side sells food stuff. The tacos are pretty tasty. A bit smaller than usual but it has plenty of meat. The sauces are quite spicy. The carnitas is the oiliest. I like the asado taco best. Plenty of parking in the plaza lot. read more

Amazing cheap eats! $1 to $2 for each taco--who can go wrong?? The meal starts with complementary chips and salsa, but my goodness.. the salsa is really great but SPICY. My mouth was burning but I couldn't stop eating! LoL! We tried almost every taco type and they were all good. Some were dryer than others. However, next time I think I will only get birria tacos.. They were so good, the others didn't even compare.. I also used the consomme to dip all my other tacos. The tacos are a little on the small side, but I guess that's what makes it so cheap! I had to check out this amazing deal that I first spotted awhile ago on Instagram! $1 Tacos we ordered: - Asada (Steak) (x2) - Pollo (Chicken) (x2) - Carnitas (Deep Fried Pork) - Adobada (Marinated Pork) There's also Buche (Pork Stomach) for $1, but we didn't try that. Drinks we ordered: - Pina Jugo (Pineapple Juice) - Fanta Naranja (Fanta Orange) The tacos were tiny, as expected. Taste-wise, we couldn't really tell the difference between the meats, but everything was pretty decent, except 2 that had rather tough meat. The tortilla chips & dips were free. They also offer other regular priced items on their menu, such as burritos & quesadillas, & other meat choices. The fresh pineapple juice was so refreshing! Super pulpy & not overly sweet. The Fanta was straight from Mexico. Both the drinks were great. The drinks were $2 each, so our entire meal came up to only $10 (before taxes & tip) -- for 2 people! Still love this place, they held out with the $1 tacos for as long as they could. Even at $1.50 each its a great deal. I called in my order ahead of time as it was a larger order. The person that took my order was quick and made sure to get all the info needed. They were super busy so the order was a big late being ready but not too bad. There are not many places left you can feed 6 people for $50 or less and still have ot be good food, this is one of the few places you can do that. I forgot to get a picture of the whole order I just took a picture of my plate with 2 of each kind on it. We got the birria tacos and the popular tacos with asada. Once the borders re-opened in November 2021, I made the trip to Bellingham for a Trader Joe's run and had to stop by Mi Rancho for some tacos on the way home. Mi Rancho is in a small strip mall close to the freeway. There was plenty of free parking, which is always a plus. On one side is the store which sells a variety of Mexican products along with meats and on the other is a relatively new dine in restaurant. I got there around 10:00 in the morning and the restaurant was not as yet open. The owner advised I could still order anything I wished. The menu was on the wall. I opted for 2 beef and 2 chicken tacos. Hard to go wrong with $1 tacos. I enjoyed all 4 tacos and look forward to stopping here the next time I am doing a Trader Joe's run. It was a very positive food experience and happy to recommend Mi Rancho Meat Market. PS. Went here for my birthday. I was craving authentic Mexican food. The ambiance is welcoming and great. The restaurant is clean, well lit, and the music is wonderful. Service is good. However it's not great! Food was 5 out of 10 in my book. I am someone, who knows what authentic Mexican food should taste like. This was not worth more than 3 stars. The strawberry banana margaritas were excellent. I would give them 5 stars for the drinks. Dessert was excellent as well. Next time, I would order Hors d'oeuvres , margaritas, and dessert! Earlier in the year my husband and I tried out Mi Rancho Meat Market for lunch. This place is truly a hidden gem. Amongst other things, they sell $1 tacos and they are the absolute bomb! We came back again with our daughter recently. On our table we had tortilla chips, several meat tacos, a couple of Vegetarian tacos, a cheese quesadilla and a bottle of horchata. Tortilla chips: Last time we came here they brought a complimentary basket of tortilla chips to our table, along with some salsa to dip it in. They were warm, crisp and sooooo good! We were given complimentary tortilla chips again, but this time the basket was already on our table when we sat down. Not so warm as last time, but still crispy and delicious; I really can't complain when it's free. Tacos: My husband had the meat tacos, while our daughter and I shared a couple of Vegetarian tacos and a cheese quesadilla. Our daughter is still something of a picky eater, so I told her that if she wanted to order a cheese quesadilla (which is pretty much the only thing she ever orders when we eat Mexican food) then she would have to share the quesadilla with me and eat one of the Vegetarian tacos. Done deal, and she ended up loving the taco! They put these white beans into the tacos and I don't know what they do to those beans but they are pure bliss!  Cheese quesadilla: This is one of those dishes that's kinda hard to mess up. Basically a Mexican version of a grilled cheese sandwich. If you love cheese, then this dish is for you!  I have a much more diverse taste palate than my picky eater, but I do also love simple, tasty, ooey gooey cheese dishes. I was happy to be able to take part in eating the Cheese quesadilla! Horchata: We just drank plain water last time, so this was our first time ordering drinks here. The drinks are kept in a small fridge, and it's a self-serve system. You just pick your drink from the fridge and the server will add it to the bill when they see which drinks you have on your table. I'd never had Horchata from a bottle before. In fact, I'd never even seen it in a bottle before. I used to think it was something that always had to be made on the spot at Mexican restaurants. Maybe I've been drinking bottled Horchata all along without even knowing it. I suppose it's always possible that they just pull out a bottle back in the kitchen and pour it into a glass with me being none the wiser for it! The Horchata was tasty as it always is. I havn't had an Horchata that I didn't like.  Service: Fair Parking: Plentiful and free! Location: About 8 minutes drive from Bellis Fair mall, so while it's not really close to any major attractions, it's not far to get to either. read more

So on google it says they're open til 9:30, walked in at 7:55 & they tell us they're only open until 8:30 and can't seat us. After speaking to eachother the server very iffily sat us & was pretty rude. I get wanting to go home so I just apologized & we ordered as fast as we could. When the food finally got to us the asada was dry, rice was okay & beans tasted weird. You definitely get what you get for 1$ tacos but overall I wouldn't go back ever again or recommend. Fairly spacious venue, they are steady busy on a summer sunday afternoon (2:30pm). Decors are very nicely done, esp. on chairs and murals. You can see the attention to details put into the arts (waterfall on mural has sparkles). When putting in your order from your table it's a bit confusing as to who ordered what so make sure you remember your taco quantities/varieties esp. when you may not recognize what's been given to you. Food came in good timing, tacos are small. I'd say 5 for a light meal, 6for bigger eaters. I liked the birria and adobada the most as they were more moist and flavourful. The former comes with soup! I'd definitely want more soup as I found eating tacos (dry items) go well with hydration. To be honest most of the tacos tasted about the same, maybe I'm just used to stronger flavours, but they were fresh and the tacos are homemade fresh as well (can see them making these on way to cashier). They weren't serving chicken or beef cheek/tongue tacos today. Note that soft drinks are not on the hand out menu but do exist, so I guess you have to ask about them. I ordered a reg. burrito to go, had it the next day steam baked and it was very good still. Very big as well. They also have a selection of homemade popsicles at the freezer near the cashier. I tried the Mango Chilli which tasted a bit savoury, interesting but still worth a try. On google this shop is called Mi Rancho Taqueria which is probably a name someone just made up since MeatMarket doesn't correlate Tacos. Anyway you gotta try this place! read more

Always on the search for the next best taco spot! We stumbled upon this spot while crossing the border. One side of the place is the restaurant and the other a cute little market. We were there on a weekday and the menu was limited. Go on the weekend if you're wanting to have a more to choose from. We ordered 8 tacos, a assortment of whatever they had available that day. They came with a basket of chips and we got it refilled once. Their salsas were yummy! My husband and I both ordered Michelada's. The tacos were legit!!
