Our chosen 8 items- chocolate icing roll was our favorite followed by the berry and cheesecake danish and profiterole.

Friendly staff as we entered and willing to answer our questions with a smile. Bakery items are in a cabinet of sorts. You choose a tray and tongs and pick out the items you want then bring it to the register a few feet away where they calculate and bag your chosen baked goods. We paid $13.70 including tax for 8 items. Such a great deal for authentic Mexican baked goods. I love that none of them are too sweet like most American sweets! Our favorite was the chocolate cake roll with icing inside- perfect blend of chocolate cake and icing without it being too sweet. Next time we are in town we will be back!!

I drove past this place many time and finally got to eat here as my friend was hungry after our Trader Joe's run. It was also one of the few Mexican food places opened at 10 am (it opens earlier at 6 am while most restaurants open at 11 am). The beauty of being a market and bakery. Besides food, this place sells Mexican products and drinks and baked goods. The staff was friendly and very patient while we took some time to decide what we wanted. Order at the cashier, pay and they will bring the food to you when done. It did take some time for the food to be ready. There is a small dining in area inside the place with 6 tables, plus patio dining. I had the enchiladas (1 beef and 1 chicken). It was so cheesy and good though I did find it to be a tad too salty for me. The beef was very tender that I wondered if it was birria beef. I liked it more than the chicken. My friend had the carne asada which he said was good. He enjoyed the food and it did the job of filling up the tummy. If you love hot sauce, there are so many kinds here with huge bottles. Parking is available here.

Recommended by a local, this small grocery does make some food to go. There are a few tables inside if you'd rather eat there. I had the chorizo burrito. I think it weighed about two pounds and was filled with meat. If you are hungry this will fill you up, or eat half and save the rest for lunch the next day. Very good taste! They also have some bakery items that you must check out. I tried something that was like a Swiss roll. Lots of chocolate flavor and cream filling. Enough for two to share, but if you don't I won't tell.

Ok, so I have a problem... an addiction...this place! Over the last 10 days my husband and I have gone here 3 times. The first visit was to have a breakfast burrito with bacon, it was beyond large and so tasty it drew us back within a few days, where we had a carne asada chimichanga, and can I say that was so yummy, stuffed with meat, the rice and beans were delicious, and the salad was good. And today we had their special which was a shredded beef chimichanga, and I didn't think the meat could get better than the carne asada but I was soo wrong. And we splurged and got donuts they had just brought out of the kitchen, still warm and softer than a pillow, and twice as tasty!! The store itself is also great we found aji mirasol paste which we have had to order for years to make Peruvian green sauce at home, so that is pretty amazing. I suggest you go when you can for authentic Mexican food, we will likely see you there, because yeah, I just can't help it. Pic is purely half a carne asada chimichanga and half the rice and beans that my husband and I split.

Authentic Mexican. Menus are very simple but I noticed a lot of people were ordering soups ( menudo for sure) and Pazole from off menus. They looked so delicious. Also bakery section- smells so good. Selling out very quickly. Tucked in corner of Northwest Dr and w.maplewood. I loved their tacos and tamales. My fam liked Burritos. I will try menudo next time.

This cute little market carries groceries, baked foods & yummy Mexican grub! Grabbed a bag of concha's, cheese enchiladas, and shared some carne asada fries. They sell a variety of meat, so no wonder the carne asada was my fav! Very warm and friendly service! They have a sign, must wear masks before entering. Everyone was wearing masks and seemed to be taking COVID precautions. Would want to try their tacos next time..

This time we shared one with each kind of meat offered: chicken, pork and beef. I can't say which I liked more because they all were so awesome as ever. We tried something completely new to us this time: a ceviche called aguachile negro. I Googled it: "Aguachile negro is a bold, spicy Mexican seafood dish featuring raw, butterflied shrimp "cooked" in lime juice, blended with a dark, savory sauce made from roasted chiles, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and Maggi seasoning. Served cold with cucumber and red onion, it offers a deep umami flavor and intense heat, often topped with avocado." I'll say it's hot!!! A heat that grows and fills your whole head. Yet, it was so incredibly delicious I weathered the effects. I am not kidding--I don't think I've had a dish I have loved more. The flavor is fantastic, and when I fished for a little raw prawn and put that thing in my mouth, I just thrilled. We had some of their wonderful guacamole as a starter, and I wish now I had saved some to try with the ceviche--it would have been lovely. I will go back.

The salsa and guacamole is always incredibly fresh and I love the way they make their chips. Tasty, fresh, perfectly salted, and homemade. The pico that came wild the dish was delicious and I loved that they added mango to it. My friends got enchiladas which are always a great choice and we ordered mojitos which were very fresh too. I love how their drinks are always beautifully made with lovely garnishes and fruits to add color. Very excited to go back and try different drinks and entrees! Absolutely LOVE this authentic Mexican restaurant.

Why are there so many Mexican restaurants in Bellingham and why do they all say they are the best? Hard to choose. The first place we went had good reviews but they were so trashy and rude and wasn't worth the trouble. The next place we tried was 21 and up but he was so nice to recommend this place. I was worried because it was so close to closing time and we walked from the previous place to avoid parking again. I have some medical issues that made the short walk take me out. We get there with 20 mins left until close. I see a seemingly swamped waitress and look at her apologetically but she welcomed us to sit and put menus in front of us. She hustled around to other tables and took our order quickly. The ambiance is nice. There's a small bar by the register. The food shows up after a brief wait and it looks super appetizing to the eyes. My burrito takes up the entirety of the large oval plate. My kid exclaimed, "that who thing is a burrito?!" He loves enchiladas and it's plated neatly with rice and beans. My daughter ordered carne asada only ever getting it from our favorite hometown restaurant nearly every other Sunday, so they got some high expectations to meet. Her carne asada comes with an enchilada which for us is a fail safe in case the carne asada turns out to be too different from our norm. To her delight, it was incredibly similar to what we would normally get in taste and presentation. There was so much food. Feeling bad for coming late, I tried to eat quickly and asked for boxes. There were two other tables that arrived before us just hanging out talking. I was acutely aware of the time having worked as a waitress several times in the past but she didn't close the doors until close time. After close, a woman arrived at one of the doors and the waitress let her in and fed her. It was so nice to be see and for me, that deserves so much praise and restores faith in humanity especially after being treated like crap at another restaurant we chose not to eat at. I always choose to support places with good people. I go to pay trying to get out of hair. Despite appearing so busy, she was so friendly. I praised the service and food. She walked to our table as we were preparing to leave and she was engaged in conversation with the kids. My daughter was talking about dress shopping for a school dance. We mention how far from home we were and she mindfully pieces together it's a long drive home still, it's a school night, kids and self exhausted. She grabs a bag and gives us to go beverages. Honestly the kindness made me a bit emotional. The restaurant was past business hours and she had just sat someone and had yet to take her order and still made us feel welcome and not rushed. My kids were adamant we had to come back soon. Spend your money here. The food was fantastic. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Plentiful amounts will leave you satisfied both today and tomorrow. You don't have to question the cleanliness of this place like some of the hole in the wall places we've seen. Choose this one!

The service was 3 stars for us--pleasant but absent minded and inconsistent. Ambience was fine--lots of windows and light, clean, and comfy seating. It was fine with only 3 tables full, but it was getting loud as we wrapped up our time and the restaurant started to fill with the dinner crowd. We'll be back for more.

I decided on the Mulitas instead of my usual enchilada plate. It's a smaller version with 3 mini size tortilla filled with meat of your choice. I had carnitas, beef and chicken. All were good. Served with beans and rice. My friend had the beef burrito and it was pretty big. She said it was tasty and very filling. It was literally the only meal she had for the day. It seemed to be a family run place and so service was a bit slow. We had to wait a while before someone came out to the counter for us to make payment. There was no bell to alert them.
