They lacked flavor, and the appearance wasn't very appetizing. Based on other reviews, we wanted to try the carnitas on the side, but were told there would be about a 1.5-hour wait. We also attempted to order a breakfast burrito and were told that if we "really wanted it," they would make it. That response felt a little odd and made us unsure whether it was something they normally offered at that time. We also ordered an al pastor quesadilla. The meat was flavorful and enjoyable, but it only came with lettuce and tomato. There was no sour cream or guacamole included, which was surprising compared to what we're used to receiving with similar dishes elsewhere. The chips served were store-bought rather than house-made. Overall, there were a few good items, particularly the chile relleno and al pastor, but between the strong bleach smell, inconsistent menu experience, and sides that fell short, this wasn't a place that stood out enough for us to return.

The al pastor (seasoned pork) is juicy and flavorful. The lengua and cabeza meats are boiled and seasoned to a soft perfection; the pieces melt in your mouth. I haven't yet tried the carne asada but I'm looking forward to it on my next trip. The tortillas are grilled with a little bit of oil to add yet more flavor. The son and mom business owners really care about what they serve.

This most recent visit I got one asada, one chile verde pork, and one adobada crispy taco, and an horchata. Chips and salsa bar complimentary, and a discount if you pay cash instead of card. I will say that the adobada and chile verde are delicious, but probably not the wisest protein for tacos since they're wet. The crispy tacos were cheesy goodness, and the asada reminded me of a quesadilla but better. I love me horchata, but perhaps next time I'll try the cucumber lime or Jamaica hibiscus drink to switch it up.
