My favorite taco spot in all of Santa Clarita. They're open late, which is perfect for my son and I. We drive 15-20 minutes each way for these tacos. My favorite is the bean tostada that comes with every order. Yummy good crunchiness. I love the carnitas but my son is a fan of the carne asada. How this place has 4.5 stars is beyond me. I visited it for the first time the other day and they made my burrito with rice after I had asked for it without rice. Whatever... I dealt with it and didn't complain. I returned a couple days later since I was in the area to see if the breakfast burritos were any good. I ordered a breakfast burrito (only egg and "asada" meat) and 2 tacos. The kid that took my order said "$15". In my head I was like "WTF?!" and since all the prices are blacked out on the menu, I didn't know how much I was in for. Again, I didn't complain over a few dollars. I'm pretty sure I got taken since I look white to some, but I'm really Latino. The blacking out of the prices is a typical scam used south of the border to overcharge non-locals aka the Americans. I'm not certain that's what's going on here, but $15 for a breakfast burrito and 2 tacos is outrageous. To finish it off, that breakfast burrito was the worst I've ever had. I'd be ashamed to run a taco truck and hand out fake "asada". W-T-F kind of meat are you using? It isn't ranchera, and it isn't diesmillo. It was more like a chuck roast-type meat that was nasty. The only knock I could say about this place is they don't take card. Lol. The food is great, tacos are always heaping over. They keep it simple and pack in the flavor. My wife already said it but I'll say it again best taco truck ever!!!! The food is always amazing! we have been coming here for years and stop when ever we take a drive to LA or having a craving for tacos del lengua (hands down best I ever had.) everything is good not just a few things, and the tostada with beans they include with every order is like icing on a very delicious cake if they cake were made out of authentic refried beans. Probably the best tacos I've ever had and I've been to Tijuana. I love tacos so much and I am so glad this tuck is so close to my house. Interesting fact: the owner of this truck is also the owners of the 2 Mexican restaurants near the truck. I normally am a very plain girl: asada, cilantro, and the tortilla. I am so sad to have to give a low star rate for this taco truck. I was super excited to try and it was not very good at all. I ordered 3 asada tacos with cheese, the meat had absolutely no flavor and was a light grey color it looked as if it was old and reheated but I went at 8pm on a Sunday and there was a line. So I assumed it should have all been fresh. We ordered 2 asada burritos they were a decent normal burrito size nothing crazy. But lacked flavor. Unfortunately I will not be returning here. There were also no prices and this is a CASH ONLY. MY total was $22 for 2 asada burritos, 3 asada tacos and 1 chicken taco. And chicken was very dry and lacked flavor. I gave 2 stars because they get through the line fast! And they have a nice sitting area if you would like to sit and eat. If you decide to try this place, maybe a diff type of meat. Well, I was wrong: I CAN give this truck 5 stars... I was stuck on the delicious tacos de carnitas, and yummy quesadillas. Well, I decided to branch out and try the unthinkable: tacos de buche (stomach), and tacos de lengua (tongue). I am NOT an organ meat kind of guy, but inspired by my hero, Anthony Bourdain, I decided to chill out and give them a try. As Tony would say, "These are effin' amazing. The combination of juiciness, crispiness, saltiness and sweetness is perfect." Actually, the lengua was just great - but the buche was insane. If I can overcome my own brain, I could even become a fan. (I still can't overcome the fact that I am eating an animal's stomach.) But really, if you have any sense of adventurous-ness to you, you MUST try the buche! I can't get it out of my head. Maybe the best meat I've had in a long time. It's better than meat, it's bucherific. It doesn't taste like organ meat, or offal. It just tastes delicious. It is not challenging in any way - texture, taste, appearance. Best truck in Castaic! The guy who takes the orders was helpful and suggested the best tacos for my blanco pallet. The best thing by far that we had was the chicken torta.
